Charge Way Too Much

I actually like the concept of Bark but you can spend a lot on credits just to get numbers and emails on people who may not contact you back. I have spent a substantial lot of money on the site and it's getting to the point that's it ridiculous.

We feel this is the fairest way to price our leads but we are always open to suggestions.

Amazing Experience!

SCAM

This company has a confusing setup and will end up charging you an insane amount of money for the privilege of essentially cold emailing prospective clients. If you're a freelancer or a small business you should avoid this like the plague.

Bark cater to an extremely low budget clients setting up false expectations of what they should pay. Bark.com solicit professionals but expect them to charge as amateurs and to give them a cut. Bark.com is telling their clients "what they should expect to pay" That 'payment' is an insult and a joke. Bark solicit professionals promising them work and "free" leads but once they send one "lead" practically a person who expects to hire you for minimum Bark.com is asking you to pay. If you value your work I recommend you don't sign with them.

I was looking for "local" web designers. Bark suddenly opened an account for me (I didn't want one), and offered a list of "local" designers. Two I selected, and both were supposed to be based in California.

They weren't, both were in Asia. I received a high pressure attack but two sales "professionals," who essentially demanded I take them on to redesign my website, and then employed a used car dealer attack: demanding four a huge amount of money, then cutting it down right away, then calling in a manager who offered a one-time further 50% cut.

Completely unprofessional, and I found through my website analytics where they were from. Pathetic.

If this is what Bark has for clients, or what they allow to use their site, sorry, I'm not impressed.

I used bark to contact 'customers' who had jobs advertised, all 3 leads were dead and nobody made contact (Clients). I contacted bark customer service who refused to refund or credit fees saying clients numbers were verified.
That means nothing when the clients job has been taken and they haven't informed bark. Bark still pre-charge you for leads and you don't have any opportunity to quote or even contact customer.

Useless

If you are hoping to get work on bark as a contractor, forget about it.
The leads suck completely. Just a bunch of nickel and dime people looking for a great deal on a tiny little project. The going rate for contractors in my city is 40 to $50 an hour. Everybody on there wants to pay under $20 an hour.
Besides the low hourly rates that people are willing to provide, the projects are incredibly small and not worth driving around the province to lay a 50 ft2 patio.
I would give zero Stars if that was a possibility

Having gone through Bark to to get loft conversion quotes, we were contacted by Simply Home Designs. In no time at all they attended and gave us a very competative quote. Work was scheduled at our convenience and the conversion was carried out superbly. Each phase was explained along the way and the workmen were considerate and polite. Any problems were sorted promptly and we are extremely pleased with the outcome and would recommend them 100%. Thanks again Alex, Sarah And Steve.

Not worth the money
October 23, 2018

After purchasing credits and responding to Leeds I had no replies from any customers. I don't even know if they received my offer. I asked for my money back for the credits I purchased and did not use and was told that they would review the situation to see if I was eligible for a refund. That was over two weeks ago. Now they don't even answer my emails. Stay away. You can find better places for leeds.

Scam Close Them Down

Scam fake leads they need to be laughed at and closed down! How do you sleep at night! They gave a lead that texted me back and said she never went to them for service she only inquired about there platform and her name and occupation was registered they tried to gaslight me by telling me she pushed the wrong headline however she and I did meet and talked! About decent ways to get honest leads! Do not fool or do any kind of business with this company! I'm praying that they be shut down immediately! Bark keep your comments to this review to yourself! Gaslighting I talked to her for myself.

BARK.com has good intensions with their product. Unfortunately, I have found through my lead acquisitions, that the typical consumer is clueless on the amount of time and financial burden on the subscriber.

I had joined BARK.com and bought into the "lead credits", more than once, to increase my market base with the hopes of landing more projects/ Even at least one project to pay for the service. After contacting well over 20 posts, half of which would not respond to emails / phone calls, I found most of the individuals I did communicate with were just testing the waters, fishing for ideas, and had no intent to at least engage in dialog concerning their post and how my services (Licensed Architect) may help. This to me is a total waste of time and monies, on my part, of buying into purchased leads.

I am on my third round of purchasing leads, once done with the credits I will be deleting my account.

Jarvis through this bark site confirmed my Clenaing appointment and I mentioned many time my guests are coming at night so they can't cancel my appointment. Because Jarvis conformed, I have cancelled other services who offered me too. Jarvis confirmed then they didn't answered my messages or their phone switch off! All of Jarvis online website Facebook every number is unable to reach.the number they used to confirm me through message also after calling, all numbers are disconnected.its like I have talked with ghost. Now I did not book anyone and Jarvis team did not show up! This is absolutely unacceptable

Yes, they send you boxes, but just try to cancel your account! I waited until the 5th month of a 6 month subscriptions, and cancelled. Instead, they renewed me and told me I can't cancel for another five months. I say this is FRAUD!

Tidy up of Garden

The amount you spend on leads is high. Add that to the fact that 90% dont even reply to your initial emails or phone calls makes it questionable at best. Customer service is close to talking to a bot, canned responses and not relevant to the conversation.

Poor customer service.
They back down and lie about their starter guarantee.
They send leads to unlimited amounts of people, meaning lots of businesses are spending at least a tenner to fight over one lead.
They send out lots of fake leads or people who aren't really invested in finding someone again wasting money.
Absolutely shocking customer service when you raise these issues.
Please don't waste your money.
