Bark s a waste of time.
Any lead that I responded to was not legitimate. Bark does not qualify the leads and worse, you have to fight to get your credit back when you contact a lead by phone or mail, and no one calls or emails you back. Don't waste your money on this service.
Most of the leads I have received are Fake leads; period. I just received an email from 'Immie"... and her response was following up with a bogus lead for 7 more days and see if they answer you... really?... "we don't return credits on this basis" - extremely unprofessional organization that would hire someone who has this mentality of not helping a paying customer.
I should have read all these reviews here. Bark seem to trick you to think there are so many potential customers searching for your service, but half the time they are fake numbers and people aren't ready to buy. We need to report this to the Trading Standards.

All our leads are posted by customers who either have previously used us to find professionals or who are actively searching for services. Customers provide their contact information and in a case where the information provided is incorrect, our team can look to issue credits back.
With regards to customers not being ready to buy. It is up to the customer to decide when they are ready to purchase and we, unfortunately, have no control over this. We are a lead generation platform, so our job is to provide you with the means to contact these leads but it is then up to you to follow up with the customers and secure the business.
Of course, our team are available to help along the way and have some great advice to help. Additionally, since the release of our new site, new features are being added regularly to help professionals even further.

Not happy when I questioned bark about my leads why we have bot been accepted reply in email was we have deactivated accounts which means they stole 90 quid worth of leads which were already active and the remaining credits not happy at all I want full refund since this company has gone the wrong way totally about business delete all my profile delete my leads and steal my money this need be sorted or trading standards will get ear of it

Bark gave me 5 qualified traders for me to consider for the roof & gutter work that I described and two of them responded within 24 hour. The first one checked all aspects before giving me good advice and an acceptable quote. I never did business with Bark. This company spammed my company's website by using the testimonials area of the website to post multiple 1-star reviews containing "potential leads" from customers looking for painters and interior designers. I'm in HVAC.
I attached my website's review notification as proof, because Bark reported the review that I left on Trustpilot as "defamatory". This is 100% true.
Oh, I almost forgot- the link they provided so that I could opt-out of "receiving leads" doesn't work! Seriously, that's not just terrible business practices, I'm pretty sure it's a violation of the CAN-SPAM Act.

I stumbled across this website whilst searching for a reputable gardening company. I found Barks' website easy to navigate, trades were Star rated, customer reviews available to read, posting a job was SO easy and all FREE. I'll definitely be using them from now on.

They find your website and contact form and spam you with all these possible leads in your area looking for your service. Once you sign up you'll see the number of leads disappear and the few leads you do get are not actively wanting to hire (completely dud leads). I reached out to their customer service, speaking specifically with * and he was completely unhelpful - referring me to their T+Cs and refusing a refund. When I challenged legal action, he gave me their legal address. Enjoy this review *

I've since used Bark for other things too and have always been happy with the results.

Bark.com has MISLEADING leads. According to Taegan (Bark.com Support Team) a customer may have already chosen another business to work with, but the lead may still be active on their website. When I requested a credit for this, they stated that they cannot provide a credit because they "cannot return the credits for customers that decide to hire someone else". They suggested to " not wait a day or two before purchasing their details" even though I told them that I purchased the lead 32 minutes after it went up on their site. I understand if they find another business to work with a day or two after it was posted, but this was within an hour of being listed on their site. The lead should be closed, but it was kept up even though I sent them my complaint so other businesses could have also used up their credits to find out that this lead already found what they were looking for.

I recently joined Bark and purchased the starter pack with a guarantee to get hired at least once. Nothing! A bunch of the leads I paid for we're bogus. Try calling or sending an email to lead and none of the info is correct. Sent an email to Bark requesting a refund. They have me more credits to use. I would like my actual cash returned to me! I've used a couple different apps similar to this that are legit and I've got work from. I'm also reporting this to the BBB and my local authorities for this FRAUD!

Bark sent me the contact details, via email, of 6 very local van drivers/couriers, within minutes of my enquiry.
We discovered an item we had purchased was too large for a taxi.
I was contacted and chose Tadis, of Oxford, who was the cheapest and most available.
He did 4 stops at the most competitive price and our friends said he was warm, professional and obliging.
I would strongly recommend Bark for domestic and business pursuits. They checked back too.

I wish I would have looked this company up before making any purchases.
They are trying to be like upwork, except upwork credits you back for credits on jobs that they deem scam or unfit.
I made a purchase, got NO leads and was corresponding and they recharged my card claiming I signed up for auto pay. I didn't. I never checked any box saying I wanted autopay and I never got a notification saying I was almost out of credits or out of credits.
Then I get a promo code, so I enter it in the promo area and it doesn't even take me to a checkout, in fact I didn't even agree to purchase credits. They charged my card which should have been taken off of file.
This company is violating consumer rights and they need to have a class action lawsuit brought on them for their lack of accountability and the fact they just think they can charge credit cards without authorization!

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
