Given empty promises

This company is selling empty dreams to people. They make promises that never really materials. All I want is my money back. Instead I'd rather market my business the traditional way by distributing pamphlets and advertise on local News papers. Perhaps if they want to be trusted by people they should charge per successful deal.

Won't recommend.

Hi. I joined Bark with thinking to receive more work.
Spend over £100 on credits.
Purchased some jobs.
No response at all.
I am using other platform to search new client's and it works.
Just this platform is not for me I guess.
Will spend the credits which are left and will close my acc

I'm a hard-working service provider who successfully lands 15 to 25 gigs a month through other platforms.
I've wasted many dollars and hours trying to land a gig through Bark.
So many fake accounts. Very clever scam to add fake job requests in with real ones to put investigators off the scent, and keep hard-working service providers blowing money they don't have for jobs that don't exist.

Keep your money

My brief experience with this lead provider has not been positive nor has it been in any way productive or successful. The leads provided seem to be fake half of the time as when you accept a lead and try to reach out to the potential client, you more often than not get no replies. They also cunningly setup your card details to automatically to payments when replying to leads and your credits have been used. On top of that the pricing of the credits to purchase the leads are quite expensive. On top of all that their customer service is poor and don't want to take ownership when things go wrong.

My advice would be to stay well clear from them and save your money. Attending business networking events may be productive and successful.

We do not have "fake " leads. All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. We feel this is the fairest system we can have as we are not a commission based system that guarantees work, and only provide contact details for enquiries placed with us.

Not worth it

This website is totally not worth it. I spent almost $200 in hopes of getting new work. The leads that seemed to be legit did not respond back to phone calls text or email. I contacted customer service about receiving my credits back since no one responded. They gave me a long drawn out response as well as my credits back. The second time I went to contact leads the leads seemed like they were companies looking for cleaners but in return was African women and men looking for work. I reached out to customer service again, and they basically told me there was nothing they could do about it. I am very upset because there are other sites that I can use to get leads and I just wanted to try this one out since it seem like good leads were coming through but in the end is just a disappointment do not waste your money, especially if you do not have much in hopes of looking for new work.

Contacted by electrician (fully qualified with papers to prove it) within five minutes of sending my requirement, offered to come the same afternoon or the next day if not convenient. The fastest service I have ever received when trying to engage a tradesman. The charge was fair and the service excellent.

I write as a business owner offering professional services.

The Bark qualification of opportunity is appalling, doesn't ask the most fundamental questions, yet allowing prospective customers completely ridiculous expectations of cost.

Their "professional" option fails to put your business in the list shown to enquirers of a service.

Then their special offers are marketed with false advertising in respect of discounts.

A SCAM
October 9, 2019

A scam. Be very careful when you buy credits for the first time. Your card is going to be kept on record and there is no way to remove it. Also, the auto top-up will automatically activate to squeeze more money out of you without your consent.
As for the site, I joined three days ago, I spent 50 pounds, spent hours replying to potential customers requesting a quote, I had the site stealing another 57 pounds and I've got nothing and as for their claimed of hired guaranteed or your money back. That's nonsense. They automatically take money from you therefore you end up paying even if you don't want to. By the time you realise that the auto top-up activated when you bought your first packet of credits is too late. Even if they refund the first purchase for lack of customers they still pocket the 57 pounds they take from you the second time round.
To date, I can safely rate this site as a SCAM. Don't fall for it. Steer clear.

I use a lot of lead-based apps, and this one is by far the worst. It's hands down the most expensive, and I rarely have any interaction from leads I paid for. In fact, I have had certain contacts tell me not to contact them RIGHT after they supposedly posted the lead. I do not believe these leads are real, and the fact that they just upped their prices is outrageous. I'm done using them moving forward.

I was given a selection wedding photographers and have booked my daughters photographer through this service.
Its a good way to find out who in your area provides services. It takes out the element of having to wade through loads of search engines! Very efficient service provided.

We went to bark.com to find a roof cleaner.

The people that arrived did an okay job, followed by fixing a cracked tiled and beam that holds the tiles, roof then tried to scare me into paying 10k to fix my roof... as apparently there were loads more issues.

So I got my uncle around, he's a builder of 40 years, he confirmed that they had put their foot though the roof, they had caused an additional error by shifting the tiles further up so we now have roof leaks.

Bark have pretty much responded with: its nothing to do with us, we don't vet out providers and get stuffed.

I'm disappointed with the service, disappointed with the response from Bark and also shocked that they allow these types of vendors to be on their site. They have not offered to investigate or remove them from their site.

Its lucky I'm in a position to afford the work that has been done so far and I'm not an older person who would have been scared into paying 10k for a small amount of work... work that they caused.

Not the top for a ROI

I would like to write a positive review, I don't necessarily like writing negative reviews about any particular company. However, what I've learned about lead companies is that their leads are never really qualified and you tend to waste a lot of time, effort, communication and most importantly money and resources.

This company does offer a first-time return on leads that are ultimately not qualified. However, that is the extent of their guarantee and with that being said, I've worked on and off with this company for over 3 years using two different accounts and have have had no success. I do better using Google analytics and Google ad services over this method of client lead cultivation. So if you're new, I would advise you to hire a marketing person or lead generation person to plan out your best approach. That way you can manage your return on your investment.

A shady business practice to say the least.
My business was bombarded by emails that I NEVER signed up or subscribed to an email list.
Then ask for money to give me leads.
Umm? Its called Google Ads for a reason.
Get a REAL job / business making legitimate money.
I am re-posting this since Bark keeps removing it from Trustpilot.com saying its not legitimate. Lets just say all the 5 star reviews are fake and false reviews by the business itself.
Their business strategy is get other businesses signed up to their website to give these businesses leads that don't exist.
