I wrote in asking for the help of a wedding planner and received an immediate response from Bark, listing five companies who could assist. Bark then sent new my own account with a login pin and I eat immediately connected to a company who is assisting me.

Easy to use website. We experienced storm damage and needed a quick resolution. I found this website by accident and have been impressed by the ease at which everything happened quickly and without fuss. Matched with a good professional company who carried out the work. Horrible customer service. They promote a get hired guarantee. It is a scam. Never get anything from Bark expect bad leads and bogus phone numbers. Absolutely no hires from that the elite pro so asked for my credits back, I was told to get lost in nice way. I feel that I got ripped off by this company and I will never recommend bark or use them again. They are a scam.
Do not use or deal with this company.

Expensive credits in nothing but fake leads
September 6, 2023

90% of the time the leads that pop up in your feed are fake. And at least in my area there's very little leads to go around so when you see a few in there It does encourage you to top up on your credits only to find out that 90% of them are fake and when you talk to customer service regarding the fake leads they will only issue you with more credits that could sit there unused for more than six months they will not issue any cash refunds because they know their website is trash and refuse to do better screening. Customer service is extremely rude and unprofessional.

Will making service
March 9, 2020

My husband and I contacted bark as we needed to make our will. We were contacted by Ian Nuttall who explained his occupation as a para legal. Ian talked us through the process step by step in a manner that was easy for us to understand. He explained clearly what our options were and gave excellent advice on how we could ensure that our children would receive maximum benefit from our hard earned assets when we are no longer here. We were very impressed with Ian's professionalism which was delivered with just the right amount of humour which we really appreciated. We highly recommend Ian and the bark team for making the daunting thought of making a will feel like a walk in the park!

False Leads
August 4, 2022

Purchased many leads from Bark and barely EVER get a response, which leads me to believe they're not real at all. Specifically, today I purchased a lead and the "person" responded saying that they never submitted a request for a photo booth service on Bark. Their email was very specific so there is no way it was a typo in the email. I'm very disappointed especially since the lead cost me a lot of tokens...

Great service
March 10, 2022

Asked for same day installation of tv wall bracket on a Saturday. Received a call shortly after and dispatcher said he would try. A contractor was assigned, he called me within an hour and confirmed arrival time frame. He arrived as promised. He did a fantastic job. Was respectful, took shoes off and wore a mask.
I would definitely use Bark again

Window Cleaning
January 25, 2020

I found 'A Touch of Glass Windows' here for my house and conservatory. Mark, who owns the business, walked me through what to expect, cleaned my windows beautifully, including my conservatory roof windows and gutters last minute, charged a very reasonable rate (significantly less than fantastic cleaners) and as a bonus was lovely to have around. He's my go-to from now on.

I am not impressed with Bark's customer return policy. They tell you they refund the credits if the information is incorrect. I managed to get this back once but for customers who don't answer the phone for which there are LOADS, despite them supposedly wanting me to contact them, they won't refund. I think they need to check their leads properly as businesses will lose faith in them! How is it possible for me to ring someone 30 mins after they asked me to contact them and their phone is switched off for seven days? If that isn't a fake or scam number then I don't know what is!

The leads you get are 90% garbage. They either don't respond or they want to pay you less than what you spent on purchasing the lead. Quality control is a major issue here as anyone can post a request for service, you purchase that service and waste money as they will either never respond.

Waste of money and time. They trick you by having one of the leads book a job. In my case it was photography for a wedding and a short 5 minute video. Both parties committed to the work, then one kept making excuses and changes the date until they finally said they were going to do the video in another state. The wedding gig fell through when the bride said the sisters forbid the groom from marrying her. And this was after 3 months and one month before the required deposit. I stop paying for leads after I got the first two to make sure they would follow through. Good thing I didn't take the bait and pay a lot more fake leads.

Very professional service. Dan went out of his way to get my TV, sound bar & booster set up, I did not have the correct stand & TV was too big for recess. He went & got correct stand & fitted & connected everything. Did not charge for extra Will definitely use his business again. Good value, tidy, friendly & very knowledgeable. Gave me some great ideas to think about. Highly recommend.

We tried bark hoping that they have good quality clients. We did not even get responses from the potential customers here. It seems like it is the race to the bottom, the cheapest offer will get the project. How is this different than freelancing websites? ratedpeople.com and such sites? Why would we pay for subscription when we don't even get a single response?

Most customers just post a job with vague requirements. They don't even know what they are looking for

We screen every single lead using our automated system and have a credit return policy which allows us to return credits for any leads which are found to have incorrect details. Please email us at team@bark.com if you would like a copy of this and if you would like to report any leads.

We are an open public platform and allow customers to place as much information as they wish to in the Additional Details section. We always advise our professionals not to respond to vague leads, as this then prompts us to get in touch and prompt them to add more details. You can utilise the Filter Questions section of your account in order to remove any vague answers from your leads and customise them fully. Do get in touch if you need any help with this.

We appreciate that is frustrating when customers don't reply, and whilst we do our best to prompt customers about responses from professionals, there is only so much was can do as a pay as you go introduction service. We did launch a Customer App a few months ago to help make the connectivity between Customers and Professionals better. The entire experience was very good and delivered a high number of relevant responses very quickly, the follow up from the respondents was also very efficient and professional in each case and we were able to make a selection.

I tried another high-profile trade finding website for the same requirement and got no responses whatsoever which made my experience with Bark.com all the more pleasing.

Don't waste your time. We submitted to 6 different people and not one knew what we were talking about. What a complete waste of time and money. I suspect if someone is real on this service, they will want to spend $250 for a 40 page website. So disappointed.

I would avoid using this platform as a professional. Customers may never reply and I have wasted a lot of money.
It's a huge privacy issue that people are looking for therapists at bark as they send out detailed personal issues to so many strangers and the therapists are not vetted for qualifications or registration. I fortunately purchased credits at half price, at full price I would be badly out of pocket by now.

On 6 Jun 2023, my account (*******@coldblud.com) was suddenly deleted by an employee named Mart*n without prior notice, causing a loss of my funds and purchased leads. This has greatly hindered my business. Seeking clarification, I called Bark.com's customer service the same day. To my dismay, a male representative was rude and hung up on me without listening to my concerns.

This entire experience has made me question Bark.com's reliability and professionalism. I urge Bark.com to investigate Mart*n's actions and the customer service representative's behavior. It's vital for my account to be reinstated, and for my lost funds and leads to be restored. I hope Bark.com values its customers enough to address this swiftly and ensure a satisfactory resolution.
