Avoid this platform, worst platform ever used, 90% of customers dont answer calls, email or text, trying to call customers 5 times a day and no answer. Fake leads made by Bark team. I was the first to contact customer therefore how comes customer never respond. I asked bark to prove they are legit leads and all they said was "we assure you they are ot fake " but never prove that they were not fake. Don't waste your money, you'll be lucky to make what you spend. I answered 40 leads and only got 2 jobs, so 2 out of 40 which 35 never got to speak with them, so for me only 5 out of 40 where real leads. Try other platforms but never Bark. By the way, I run a cleaning company.
They use ppc to get leads and several of the leads are bs. I have had 1 lead actually be a real client. I've purchased 3 packages only one person who has been paying client. Contacted at least 60 leads spoken with about 10.1 signed up. If this was leads coming through my website it would be 80% success. If the prospect is real they get many emails from Bark and they avoid it. I don't recommend Bark.

We selected bark as an outsource leads service because of the free account and the free trial offer. Once our free account was set up we found that to reach out to leads, you had to buy credits, which was fair. However, the cost was astronomical! It will cost you over $200 to get only 180 credits. This platform is a gamble where the house always wins. The leads are not actual leads; many leads were not legit. Meaning we would call, text, and email these potential leads and get no reply. If you are a smaller company, this will not be the best fit for your business. This platform requires constant time and resources. I can grantee your money will be best spent else where.

So I've been using bark for a month and initially it was good where I was able to make some money out of it. But as things progressed I was only spending money on buying credits and the leads (oh really?) were turning out to be pretty useless. Even the support team bears no accountability for the misleading leads that are given in their platform. All they do is simply apologize and say that it doesn't fall under their policy.

These guys were absolutely fantastic, did a great job of clearing trees, bushes, weeds and took away all the rubbish found in the process including pallets, needles, rubble and even a BBQ!

After trying bark for the first time, it looked really promising and lots of leads. The first 4/5 the customers didn't really have any idea about how much things cost ie one budget was £8k for a 2 storey extension! Other leads after purchase were im sort of looking but not really, last 4 out of 5 leads got no answer or reply and when contacted customer service about this and queried the verification process I was told that it the number rings, and only rings NOT answered, then that number has been verified and no chance of a refund! Little bit frustrating and a waste of time really for me anyway!

Two young men who got on with the job and did not waste any time. Very pleasant communication and I would recommend them to others. They held to the Quotation even though they had to use more material than they planned on. Needed new guttering. Had 4 expressions of interest within 30 minutes of posting. Was given 4 estimates covering a wide range of potential costs. Chose one - work nearly done to a good standard. During the work other issues I was aware of were pointed out. Have used the same people to fix these as well. Happy so far with everything.

Ok I'm speaking from a professional cleaning standpoint! The company is trash, it takes our money! Just google cleaners and call them. Whenever we go on there we have to pay for bark credits and there's no guarantee that these people are legit! They are terrible. They allow the same individuals to get on and repost for absolutely no reason, also professionals are clueless on how to use the app so they post as if they need the cleaning! Don't waste your time or money trust me!

Have had unbelievable offer from a printing company £96 +vat for ******* A5 folded leaflets 135 msg gloss with free delivery.
Shame did not follow it up as i was not ready i will go for it in the new year and will write another review to see if the quote given doesn't come with last minute skeletons that will up the price

I should have read the honest reviews before purchasing leads, which are VERY expensive and have almost 0% ROI. They really get you with their sleek interface and make purchasing leads and their "get hired guarantee" a seemingly no brainer situation, when in reality it is deception. These leads are recycled, there is no guarantee that they are real, and they are not serious buyers. These are people looking for very cheap services, not professionals. Use your money elsewhere and don't give this company any more of your time or funding!

Joining Skillpages was an awful experience. I did not give them permission to email all my contacts and they did -- anyone who had ever been in contact with me on Gmail. Many of these people did not appreciate the solicitation from Skillpages that I did not authorize. Over 600 contacts most of whom I did not even know, were automatically contacted with solicitations.
What's FAR worse, though as yet unconfirmed, was that I was informed that those whom I contacted, had their contacts contacted.
This experience in any event was very embarrassing for me and can only have harmed my business relationships. I will have nothing further to do with Skillpages as a company.

They are highly qualified, organized, hard-working, courteous, honest, responsible, attentive, and sweet!
They do a thorough job - are efficient and detailed... want to do what the customer needs/wants and communicates well... come with a trailer full of tools, lawn mower etc.
I highly recommend Retrofit Landscaping - so happy we found them! Their positive, kind, and calm energy adds another layer of specialness to our garden.

I joined skillpages in june and it's been quite good. It works a bit like Thumbtack does. I used it to hire a painter for my flat and also a cleaner who comes once a month to give my place a good cleaning. I haven't witnessed any email problems as noted below, but i do see an option to invite contacts. I presume if u press this, it will email them like linkedin do, but i dont know.
They are probably a 3 or 4 star as it's not great yet, but it is near enough as good as the others for finding local people to do work
As an air conditioning company I was inundated with leads all week! (Over 500 leads)
I purchased 100 credits to see if Bark lived up to its reputation. I connected with 10 leads and had 1 response that was interested in a site survey but then changed their mind 12 hours before it was due to take place.

I used bark to get more clients. Before getting clients they asked for payment $320.00. I sent about 20 emails which I received from bark website but I didn't receive even one reply. It seems it's a cheating company so Canadian business need to be aware of that.

We can assure you that we screen every single lead using our automated system (in Canada, South Africa, USA, Ireland and the UK) and have a credit return policy which allows us to return credits for any leads which are found to have incorrect details. Please email us at team@bark.com if you have had any leads with incorrect or non working contact information.We appreciate that is frustrating when customers don't reply, and whilst we do our best to prompt customers about responses from professionals, there is only so much was can do as a pay as you go introduction service. We did launch a Customer App a few months ago to help make the connectivity between Customers and Professionals better.
Due to us being an open public platform there is a certain amount of personal filtering that can help with these leads. By going to Settings, My Services and Filter Questions you can remove leads that include "other" and "I don't know" - essentially anything that makes the lead more vague or not customised for you. This should then mean you receive leads where the customer has been specific about their needs which suggests they are fully aware of the service they desire. We always advise our professionals not to respond to vague leads, as this then prompts us to get in touch and prompt them to add more details.
As a general note we also advise that you respond to leads within the first hour of them being released. This is due to each request getting up to 5 responses, but also because despite our regular prompts to the customers to close their requests once they have found a professional, they do not always do this.

Very satisfied with the prompt site visit & fair quote given on Saturday, the job started Monday & finished by Tuesday. A total of 6 men on site each day, hence a day for clearance /groundwork/prep and a day for construction of sleeper steps and blocked paved area. Robert & the team were polite, consultative & considerate throughout all stages of the work and left the site area clean & tidy. Happy with the finished job and would have no hesitation in using Kensington again for similar work.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
