Super long wait times and they transfer you endlessly... cannot get support

I've done all my business banking with them for a while and I can't take it anymore... finally going to leave.

Terrible customer service
February 27, 2021

I made a mistake and ordered multiple sets of check copies, because nothing online indicates what I have ordered. I needed 14 checks. The cost is $3 per copy and $75 max. Again, there is no confirmation page of your order prior to verifying the order. I then get 3 separate $30 charges. When I called to tell them they took off one charge. And "respectfully decline" to help me with the others. I have been a loyal customer for years... years and I made a mistake and pointed out that the ordering system is flaw. But he said there was nothing they could do. When I said this makes me want to take my business elsewhere, instead of making me feel better Nick, the manager just said "that's your choice". Clearly very concerned. It's a matter of $20 more dollars so whatever... but I am definitely going to consider taking my banking elsewhere. If you can't even help a loyal customer, what are you there to do? Hope that more people make mistakes on ordering check copies because there is no verification process (like all other sites do when requesting or purchasing things) and throw your strict refund policy to "respectfully decline" helping your customers? Doesn't seem right.

I got more than 3 years with this bank, and they hold any time they want my money and say is for pending reviews then after weeks put clear again and keep going doing this game every time they want, I chose to move to other bank because I don't feel my money is secure with this cheating bank, also they got the bad customer service i am experiencing in US
They don't care the loyalty client even if are business accts, really take a moment before open an acct with this bank, they don't deserve your loyalty. Poor services and poor secure, they say you hot the control in your money but they lie, dont be scammed for bank of America use another bank

Bank of America has HORRIBLE customer service, and it's EVERYONE in the company (managers and all)! This bank ONLY wants your money, and doesn't care about anything else. I've called the back at least 50 times for the same issue, because they REFUSED to resolve it! If you don't want to be ripped off, go to another bank.

HELOC Application
July 8, 2022

I have been with BOA for years, and decided to apply for a HELOC. On May 5,2022, I started the process and it is now July 8,2022 and still no credit decision. I have submitted every document requested and they are still asking for more information for a $55,000 HELOC. People are buying houses and closing faster on a loan than it is taking for a credit decision. Like come on BOA? I have the equity in the house.
I think will just pull my application and with another bank. Redlining practices with BOA still exists.

Bank of America has a great online system, including mobile check deposit, which really comes in handy. They have great other online tools to make budgeting very easy.

No communication
March 19, 2022

I applied for a HELOC loan. I did not receive any communication for weeks. I called twice, no return calls. Finally I received a letter on MARCH 19 saying they must receive certain documents by MARCH 20. I tried submitting the documents on March 19 but the system wasn't working and now it appears my application had expired. Thanks, Daniel and Rebekah at Bank of America.

I have been a customer for many years. I am so disappointed in their recent customer care. Since they severed ties with their AAA credit card. They have taken away the overdraft protection many of us have relied on to protect us from the $35.00 overdraft fee.

I had my checking account linked and set up to draft my family savings to my brokerage firm. Not realizing they had removed my overdraft they assessed 4 nsf charges of $140.00. The representative attempted to credit it back but because the system would not allow it she was only able to credit one of 4. The supervisor Raven was like she can close the account but I would still owe the 3 nsf's because "the computer will tell her the same thing." So now the computer is controlling human authority and decency.

I certainly no longer want a relationship with a bank that does not value years of loyalty and can not correct errors. They also changed my request to reject charges rather than over drafting the account. So 2 ways of protection were just removed without consulting with me or offering a different form of protection. I guess they are trying to recover all they can after the pandemic but this is not the way.

When I signed up for an Alaska Airlines credit card I was very excited. I have used the Companion Fare option several times with good results. The 1st 2 years I was able to upgrade my seats to first class using points even with the Companion Fare option. Now I am being told that Alaska Airlines has not authorized 1st class seating yet for my flight. I made my reservations 11 months in advance. Now I am less than 3 months until departure, but still cannot upgrade my seats with points. I am no longer using my BofA/Alaska Airlines credit card for my purchases. The Companion Fare option is terrific, but if I cannot upgrade to 1st Class with points (I have 80K points available, but am unable to use them). The Companion Fare option is excellent, but I am now using a different credit card for all purchases to earn points. This is not a BofA issue, but an Alaska Airlines issue. I will probably start using Hawaiian Airlines for direct flights (SD to Maui) as well. Most unhappy.

Bank of America decided to cancel my card for a $26 balance that I did not know was due. They say they sent an email I never got. No phone call to get payment or advise me one was due - just cancelled without notice. DO NOT USE THIS BANK. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

If you're considering opening a business account with Bank of America, find a better business customer service Bank. The Calumet City, IL branch proudly let me know they didn't offer a business line; basically get in line.
