They have no clue what they are talking about. Website is trash and customer service is even worse. Was told in an email I would get a promotion and then said they miscommunicated and wouldn't honor it. If I really cared about that $100 soooo much is shop at a cheaper store. They fact they say one thing (IN WRITING) and then don't honor it is just unacceptable and unprofessional.

It is hard to find someone to help you in the store. Merchandise has nothing for young men sizes such as 28X32,29X32,29x34 size pants in the store. You can only order online in these sizes BUT When you order online they are out of stock!

The store is stocked full of sizes that aren't selling but won't carry a size 28 or 29 waist pants? WHY

You're missing a whole demographic!

Most of your sales people need training on how to greet and help the customers

You have no idea how many items in small sizes you could sell because they are always out of stock.!

The clothes are OK though. I do agree with another reviewer that it's cute stuff for young hipster types. Not so much for an oldie like me!

Service seems to depend on the shop you choose.

Prefer to shop in store

Something has happened to Banana Republic. The sizing of women's apparel is way off now. Seem to be using cheaper fabric as well. Clothes are still stylish but hard to shop online.

Disgusted!

So Banana Republic had a 40% off sale, so I decided to order a pair of mens Dellbrook loafers for my boyfriend and he also (unknowingly that I'd already ordered him a pair) ordered the same shoe. We are super excited because we never catch this shoe on sale… the one I ordered gets delivered first… destroyed shoebox states 10.5 (which is what I ordered) but shoes inside are 11.5… so I call customer service and apparently out of all the stores in the US she can only locate one 10.5. It's been a week but I am hopeful they will arrive soon.
Now today, a week later my boyfriend's order is delivered… we are still shocked at what we received (pictures attached) … there are no words… waiting for full refund. Will not be making another purchase online from Banana Republic ever again. He received someone's used… extremely used shoes that are not even the style ordered. There is absolutely no way these shoes should have been in their warehouse much less shipped to a customer. This is so disgusting! I really hope they find out how this happened and ensure it never happens again!

Think it was around summer 2003 i shopped at banana republic. The cloths that fit me were to tight and snug, not feeling quit as comfortable as calvin kline or polo, ect. Where the materials also seemed simular to express or abercrombie & fitch. So it was really, idk never feeling right for me. After newyear, 2015, i took my sister shopping at the local outlets where she never shoped in one, so i took her in. Surprisingly, the hoodies quality were = CK, and some of the textured sports/jackets were very nice, the ear ring and accessory selection was also as good. Im thrilled to see BR increase their comfort and quality of product over the years.

There were many adjectives I could have used but that would be small of me. I used to be an avid BR shopper until June 23,2021. I fell in-love with the ribbed tanks and bought 3 via the US and had them shipped to me in Canada because the sizes were not available in Canada. Yes, after purchasing the blush pink, I needed them all. I made an order in Canada on the June 21 and waited kept checking for the shipment details. On June 29, I saw a refund of $75 and no email about what happened. They charged my CC and later cancelled my order without a reason. After 18 years of shopping, I am done with them. I had plans for those tops, there was a reason for the purchase. BR Customer Service, you have a lot of angry customers and the issues need to be addressed. I hope Mr. And Mrs. Ziegler (owners) read these reviews and address the issues/team and improve. Customers should be retained; not left to feel their dollar does not matter. The service is truly lacking and I truly wish BR every success. I am just NOT a customer anymore. I planned a whole look for a special occasion and now... no tops.

For many years I have been customer of this retailer!
For last year or so they're priced doubled and tripled, while customer service, quality is drastically declined!
It is getting even worse the shortcomings of managment and training issues generate significant problem for consumers! If you come to the store and you do not have receipt or item was gifted to you, you will be asked if you want a store merchandise credit to spend in the store! DO NOT EVER agree to that scam! Company uses a third party retail that counts returns without receipt and next time you're ambushed with surprise that you returns denied! Company is literally working in counseling with this third party organization to defraud their customers! It is not disclosed in their return policy that the minute you agreed to return you gift or your list your receipt returns with out it counting against you, and "friendly" customer service representative in the store advise you just put on gift card for you?!
We as consumers should be able to be protected against dishonest retailer like banana republic.
I filed formal complaint to BBB to protect my rights as consumer, no respond!
Looks like we consumers have no protection which is not right! I'm would never shop at this retail again, and returning all items I have ever bought from them.
Please be advise do not use this retailer!

If your not perfect and happen to make an innocent mistake, BEWARE! Some of us have been loyal Banana Republic customers for decades though if your human and happen to look at the date, on your on-line order that it is BOLD Big letters, Look again! I made an error and got the delivery date mixed up with the order date, thus I was 2 days over the order date and 5 days before the delivery date, when I tried to return an item. NO EXCEPTION, 20+ years of being a loyal customer and BR couldn't even give an exception. I find it interesting that it's okay if they don't deliver on time, deliver the wrong items, and don't meet the customers expectations BUT if the customer makes an innocent mistake, there is no exception.
Thank goodness there are other options to purchase clothing from.

Their return doesn't include any identification how many items you are returning like amazon. So you can return 1 or 4 items there are no guaranteed the customer is protected

Gone downhill

Loved the non-iron mens dress shirts and bought them all of the time. Now they have wrinkle resistant which are terrible quality. Bring those non-iron dress shirts back please!
