I had ordered a dress to wear At the beach after my wedding. I paid expedited shipping. Did not receive the item even in time for my wedding which was weeks away. They finally refunded me my shipping and sent me a $10 coupon towards my next purchase. I then decided to buy a pyjama set for vacation. Bad idea as that item was cancelled with no email no notification I had to go in find out myself by going into the order.
Same as several below. Placed an order on 11/30. They charged my card and have not shipped anything. Customer service is not accessible in any form (email or phone). They are committing fraud, in my opinion.
The quality of the clothing varies. Sometimes the active wear tends to fade rather quickly. I prefer to shop the sales section and can get some great clothes for very good prices. The sizing seems very accurate and the colors and styles are actually quite attractive. It is a plus-size clothing site, but it is not as cost-prohibitive as Lane Bryant. I have been satisfied thus far.
While I liked the dresses I ordered, one was the wrong size. I checked my order confirmation and it was Avenue's error. Every time I attempted to reach Customer Service via *******836 I was between 45 and 60 in the queue. Most consumers don't have time to wait on hold while 45 other customer's issues are resolved. Again, I was happy with my purchase but will not do online business with them again.
I placed a large order & paid for expedited shipping from Avenue.com on 11/29/2020. Today is 12/11/2020 and my order is still in fulfillment status without explanation. I did inquire about my order a week ago, but received a generic reply that my order was received. So disappointed.
Very disappointed with avenue now. Probably wont be shopping here again. My boyfriend purchased a dress for me for my birthday because he knew I've been wanting it for a while. Got it today. The material is cheap and feels gross. It doesnt even look like the dress in the picture. The last few times I've shopped here I've had some disappointments and the sizing was off. And I've been an avenue customer for years.
I have been an Avenue card holder since 2008. I know that someone else purchased Avenue because the style and quality is different. No beautiful maxi sun dresses, just a few. The causual tees and shirts are different. Hope they get new buyers!
I love Avenue clothing and have been shopping there for probably 30 years. They no longer have any brick and mortar stores, but I was always a big online shopper, anyway. I used to take my returns to the nearest store, but when that closed, I started using their "happy returns". In July, I returned $109 worth of clothes to a FedEx location. I got an immediate email that they received my returns and that I would get a credit. It's almost 4 months later and I still don't have my credit. I charged it on my Avenue credit card. I believe both Avenue and Commenity are at fault. Commenity opened a case but said that they need Avenue to let them know they have the return and to process the refund. I finally received an email from Avenue over a month ago that they have the return and that a refund would be issued, but Commenity still hasn't processed it. I called a couple weeks ago and Commenity said my case was closed! I am so disgusted with them that I will probably never use my Avenue credit card again. In the future, if I have to return things and they don't credit me, I will dispute it with Visa and probably get a faster resolution.
I dont understand all the bad reviews! I have ordered from here at least 5xs this last year and loved all my stuff! Shipping usually takes about 2 weeks or so and comes ups and all my items except 1 have been a perfect fit and high quality! Ymmv. But I love Avenue online shopping!
I love their clothes... I seriously adore everything I've ever bought there. My ONLY complaint is I don't feel I receive the quality for which I pay. When I pay $60 for a shirt, I expect the beading and jewelry on the tops to NOT fall apart after the 3rd wash.
I am shocked to see the negative reviews. I order all the time from them. I have found the 22/24 size to be consistent and have had very easy returns using Happy Returns. I keep in mind this is a discount clothing line. They r much better than Shein. I do not expect a Neiman Marcus experience.
Have shopped here many times. They have some really pretty jewelry. The prices are $$ to $$$. Anything I've ever ordered from here is beautiful, made of quality fabrics. They do have great sales and offer minimum order free shipping. Worth a look-see.
Avenue does not stand by loyal customers. I made a purchase that was shipped federal express. Apparently they delivered the package to the wrong address. They never investigated or checked my order history. Out of the item I ordered and I'm out of the shipping charge as well. Done with this company that solely relies on a call center to make final decisions. Not recommended if you need customer service.
I ordered a bunch of stuff from Avenue - tops, dresses, pants, and capris. The prices were excellent with very generous coupon codes as well. Every single item fit perfectly and I have loved everything I've purchased. I placed two more orders after that and have been equally impressed. I am shocked by the negative reviews. The clothes are excellent in quality and you get a lot of bang for your buck, with excellent sales and promotions, such as $39 dresses. I love Avenue!
Well I can't do a review on the quality of the product since it hasn't shipped to me yet. It's been about 20 days since I placed the order and it's still in fulfillment. I've sent emails with no response and calls end up with a busy signal. This was my first and last purchase from Avenue.
I'm not recommending Avenue online. One of the only ways I can allow myself to shop online is if it's returnable and they wont let you return items on sale. Which is most of them. Bad policy if you ask me. So I was forced to pay to ship the item back to me or donate it to a local charity. I donated the item. Very disappointed in the company though. Won't be purchasing from them again. :(
Avenue makes it near impossible to contact them after you've checked out as a guest. I ordered clothes and waited, and waited, and waited for any sign that my items had shipped or been processed in any way. Went out of my way to locate a method of finding out and after much searching found I had to use a basic e-mail as my way of communicating. Then I got a notice that my order had been partially filled and that some items were no longer in stock. (Gee you think taking weeks to process the order may have had something to do with that?) But not from my inquiry, just a regular notice. Still no word from customer care. During this whole time, I've place two clothes orders from another site and both were processed, shipped, and RECEIVED before Avenue even sent the notice of my partial shipment!
I order 3 pairs of shoes never got them a tracking or email but they took the money off my card gave them another chance and the same result when I inquire about it i get a ticket number and thats it cant get thru calling either my next step is court period
I ordered a Christmas tree on 10/23/22. It said nothing about shipping from China. On 10/25/22 I received an email that it had shipped and provided a tracking number. I looked it up and that's when I discovered it was shipping from China.
The last tracking update was on 10/27/22 and it has been sitting in China ever since.
This worthless company has literally done NOTHING to help get the issue resolved. They keep giving the same copy and paste answers. Can't get a hold of them on the phone EVER.
I have asked them to cancel the order and they won't. I have asked for my money back and they won't. I keep getting told to "just wait few more days".
Well here I am over 2 months later. I still don't have my item, it's still sitting wherever in China it is supposedly coming from, and they don't want to do anything to make it right. They just want to keep copy and pasting their answer.
Do not do anything with this company. They are crooks and scam artists and should just close up shop because no company should still be in business with this piss poor customer service model.

Placed an order and after 2 weeks contacted them to see why I never received an email stating when my order would be shipped. Was told it was in stock and would be shipped out soon. 3 weeks later I called again and this time I could never thru. The customer service number would ring once and then go to a busy signal. It's been a month now and still have not gotten thru to them. Will never order from them again.
Answer: Shein, although the quality is not as good. It is cheaper and they have an excellent return policy and customer service as well. Avoid Woman Within.
