I spent 94 dollars on an order described as "Yellow roses and white lilies are set against a backdrop of purple monte blooms." The flowers that were delivered were crap that I could easily have paid 10$ for at a grocery store! Unbelievable rip off!
You guys are not professionals at all, from customer service to designers. I ordered from Thursday a flower arrangement that had to be delivered on Monday before 2pm, to pay even for the express service, and I was calling in time, since the arrangement was for a memorial mass. No one could tell me where the shipment was, wait until 2:00 pm and call to cancel the service. I had to go to another florist on the way and pay for another flower arrangement that was not the one I had considered for such an important occasion. Today, Tuesday, September 22, when I go to the door I find the arrangement on the door, as if they were thieves, and as if that were not enough, it is not the flower arrangement that I ordered and they left the arrangement without even knocking on the door. I came back from mass at 5:00 pm and I was sitting on the sofa until 8:00 pm. What time did they leave it? Why didn't they knock on the door? They are disrespectful, I want someone to please answer about it, because among my great pain at the loss of my grandmother, I have great indignation with you.
I was sent this crap from AvasFlowers... this was suppose to be two dozen roses... I will never use them... I wanted to cry to see how this company do not know how to ship flowers... this would have been a disaster... it Was sent to cheer me up... it made me feel worser.
I ordered a sympathy basket for $75. With delivery and tax it was $111. I was mortified when I got to the funeral and saw the size of the basket. The basket was supposed to be white and they put it in the black basket. It was supposed to be a tall spray of flowers and it was all one level in the basket. Definitely not worth the money. I tried to call Ava's flowers and no one answered. I sent an email and got no response. I called this a.m. and they said they couldn't do anything because it wasn't within 24 hours of delivery. After asking for a supervisor, I got $7.49 refunded to my card. I would not spend one penny with Ava‘s flowers ever again!
After receiving only rude accusations and no resolution from their customer service department, I filed a complaint with BBB and Trust Pilot, posted negative reviews on multiple sites like this one, and even found an email address for the owner, writing him an email about his company's shady practices. That very day, I received a phone call from their corporate office. The employee Apologized profusely, immediately applied a full refund, then instructed me to order a free deluxe gourmet food basket from Ava's Baskets as compensation for the horrible service, and the unacceptable treatment from their customer service dept.
I do not know if these actions would have been taken on their own, or because I launched such an aggressive campaign. But they did go beyond expectations to resolve my issue.
BEWARE- it's a scam!
BEWARE- it's a scam! Ordered 3 get-well balloons and chocolates for a sick kid, to be delivered the next day. (Also Tricked during call into buying a get well card and ribbon, because all they said was "and what color do u want the ribbon to be? And what do you want written on the card?", as if they were free with order). Instead of delivering the next day, they did a bait-and-switch. They called and told me the chocolates wouldn't be available, and the rest couldn't be delivered until the next day, but for all the trouble I was going through, they'd "throw in an orchid plant". Well, they ended up CHARGING me for that plant, saying I had agreed to pay for it. Then, instead of 3 get-well balloons, they delivered ONE happy birthday balloon, without even a stick or ribbon tied to it to hold it by! And NO get-well card and ribbon, although they were charged for. When I called, they said I had VERBALLY agreed to all these changes during the prior call, (as if I would agree to a birthday balloon for a sick kid). They agreed to refund me $20, meaning I just paid $74 for a tiny bear, and the wrong sad balloon without a ribbon, and all a day late. I filed with BBB, and am disputing with CC. Everyone should, till these scam artists are run out of "business".
I will never use this florist network again. In my opinion they hide behind a broad substitution policy to give people whatever product the network has, not what you ordered. The bouquet I ordered wasn't remotely what I received. Plenty of other reputable florists out there to use. Avoid.
I ordered a dozen roses a week in advance of a friend‘s 80th birthday. The morning of the birthday, Ava‘s flowers called to say they had no roses, but could they send something of equal value? I was very annoyed, but gave them permission. They never delivered anything, completely missed the birthday.
I purchased Flowers for my daughter who lives in Texas. I chose the Grand Size Flower arrangement which was the most expensive. What she received was average size and I paid over $100! She would have preferred getting the $100. After 4 days the flowers had her apartment smelling horrible and she change the water and it still was a horrible smell so she had to throw them away! Never again will I use the services!.
As owner of a flower shop I have been told by many customers that have tried to order flowers through Aves.
What a mess people are so overcharged. If I except an order from them it isn't for enough money that their customer has ordered... Normally I don't feel any orders from them but ever so often if they got enough money and I know I can make it look like it should I will because I know if somebody is really wanting to send flowers.
One of our customers told us that he was charged another $45 for a Mylar balloon. Then the same customer was told that it could not be delivered because they could not get a driver out... What a line
Then the next day I had another customer same sort of situation so if you want to spend your money wisely call a local flower shop in the town and make sure they have a phone number and address in the city you're trying to send the flowers
This place is just called an order taker. They take your order they take your money
Flowers where delivered at 9:35PM, which ruined the special day since everyone was in bed. Contacted the company and had terrible customer service. Took forever to actually talk to a representative, and provided zero assistance. Refused to refund money, ruined my day…. Never again! (If the company actually cares … Order #*******).
The basket of flowers were pretty bit got screwed on the service fee, card and bow. They never told me about a $4.00 fee for the card and the bow. And $17 for service fee. WHAT! What was suppose to be $64.99 turned out to be $98.01. And this is with free delivery. That's bull! What a rip off. I will never order again from them
I ordered flowers to be delivered to a small town in NH, as they appeared to have an office there based on a Google search. Turned out they did not have an office there (or anywhere nearby). When they couldn't get the order delivered on the date promised they called to say it would be the next day. But it never happened. I tried many times to call and talk to someone but their customer service department is pretty much non-existent. After about 5 days I spent hours on the phone and finally managed to talk to someone in "Special Orders". They tried to convince me to place a fancier, more expensive order! I was able to cancel the order but I'm not convinced at this point that this is a real flower delivery company. Total SCAM!
Suppose to have few roses and bunch of different flowers. It was only roses and one carnation plus I paid extra for same day shipping and it got there 2 days later
Had to hibe them one star just to get review published. In truth, they don't deserve anything but bankruptcy. I should have done deep due diligence on AVAS even though ordering flowers (never delivered despite multiple assurances and hours of waiting on the phone) for my wife's birthday. Turns out, every assurance I received was made up as the person on the phone could never reach the "designer." Moreover, any look online is littered with complaints. Better Business Bureau rated them "F". In fact, one online summary of AVAS states:
"More than 1,400 complaints against the company have been filed with the BBB, which, as of November 2015, gave the florist an F rating. In April 2014, the BBB remarked upon a pattern of complaints:
"Consumers have reported flower deliveries that arrived days late, dead, wilted, brown, falling apart. There have been reports of flowers not arriving after continued assurances they were on the way. Consumers have reported deliveries of flowers that were completely different from those ordered (type of flowers, vases, arrangements). Consumers have reported difficulties reaching Customer Service to try and resolve problems."
Finally, there are many reports of difficulties retrieving payments for undelivered or dead flowers.
Please do not make the mistake, I did! My bad!
Is there a 0 or negative rating? That is what this business deserves. I ordered 2 funeral sprays & only one was fulfilled on time. The 2nd one came late & looked horrible- with sparce & wilted flowers. I could have made a better one than that & way cheaper. No one to talk to when you call their number. They just sent me a $15 credit for the next order when I emailed them to inform them of the disappointments. I should've read the reviews first before ordering. My very first order & never again. I believe in Karma. Bad business has a price to pay too. DO NOT ORDER FROM AVA's FLOWERS!
If I could, I would give this company no stars. I ordered a bouquet for my grandmother's 96th birthday, and I wanted it to be extra special. Her favorite color is blue, so I ordered a bouquet that was supposed to come in a blue vase with a blue ribbon, and it had yellow roses and dark purple flowers with white lilies. I paid extra to get the large bouquet, which was supposed to be even nicer than the one shown on the website. I also paid extra for a "Happy Birthday" balloon. The bouquet that was delivered was nothing like what had been ordered at all. It had totally different flowers, it came in a clear vase, and had a white ribbon. And there was no balloon at all. Not very many people have a grandmother who lives to 96. I feel very fortunate to have her, and I wanted her birthday flowers to be extra special. Instead, they look like washed out weeds that were plucked from a field. Absolutely shameful! When I called to complain, the customer service person asked if I wanted a partial refund. Really?!? That's this company's solution to the problem? If I had wanted to save money, I wouldn't have bothered ordering flowers in the first place. They advertise as a family owned business, but they are nothing but a scam.
I paid $95 for a beautiful deluxe basket of flowers and what was delivered looked like their $65 basket. I also bought a balloon that was not included. At the last minute at check out $25 in fees were added on. I feel like I was really ripped off! I wish I'd read reviews as theirs are all bad! Do yourself a favor and use a different florist! Ava's sucks!
The 3rd person in our family died from Covid and I made the mistake of ordering from this this lousy excuse of a Florest - the order was suppose to be delivered by Wednesday- on Friday they had not been delivered and I was never notified.

My mom ordered me flowers from Avas Flowers and they contracted the work out to A Passion for Flowers. She ordered them Wednesday July 29th. They told her they would be delivered first thing Thursday morning. When I left work Thursday afternoon she called me and asked me if anything was delivered, I told her I had not received anything. Here it is a week later and still no flowers. This company also told Avas that they delivered the flowers after 5 on Thursday and that I signed for them. Our office closes at 4. They also called my work and checked on our open/closing times twice. My mom asked to see the signature that I supposedly signed for and now they are not returning any of her calls OR Avas'. Avas told her they have to"prove" I never received the flowers. SERIOUSLY?!
NOW Avas and the flower company is not responding to her.
Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
Answer: Phone tree hell. Very lengthy messages that you have to listen to in order to get the prompts.
