As a seller on ArtFire, I can not believe the reviews of these folks slamming ArtFire. I'm not a maven; I've only been there just under a year and I don't see any truth in what all these folks are talking about with regard to the site itself or the operation of the studios. I can't speak for those who say they placed orders and didn't get what they ordered. But as for the site itself and the way it is run, is not what is being written here.
I ordered an MLB Freddie Freeman shirt for my grandson...$39 from nguyenthi. The shirt is absolutely beautiful, fine stitching, design and quality material; especially when compared to the ones I've seen for $100-200+. Customer service and communication terrific. I was sent a tracking #, very detailed and timely. Kudos to nguyenthi!
I would advise people NOT to use Artfire. I just ordered some knobs from a girl in Canada. Got the first two ok but never got an email or acknowledgment of my order. I bought two more (made error the first time and needed two additional). Anyway over two weeks now and no word from her. There's no recourse on Artfire. They do not back their sellers like Pay Pal does (with disputes, or even allow feedback until the order is received). In addition, how the hell to find costumer service? I had to find someone else who found it because I can't see it. DO NOT USE ARTFIRE, you can lose your money easily!
I love searching the craft sites. Artfire is one of the better ones! Always looking for the unique, vintage items and they have them. Good job Artfire. I do wish though that the Listing for Sellers was EASIER! But, keep up the good work anyway~!
Stay away from this website. It's a scam. It'll be nearly impossible to get your money back. The website doesn't take responsibility for anything. Maybe they are taking a commission of off what the alleged sellers steal from the people who fail for this scam.
I am glad I read these reviews before making a purchase on this site. Reading reviews is something i always do before i decide spending money online. It saves me from having a headache in dealing with scam sellers
Artfire has really grown up and I have had some really pleasant buying experiences with very nice sellers. The items are actually handmade, unlike Etsy's copycats and dishonest sellers in a mass market shop. The staff is responsive and kind.
This is a great site if you are a scam artist seller. Sent shirts to a seller of theirs, J&T Creations, to reconstruct. Never got them, and never got a refund for the shirts I sent, but the buyer thought they were being helpful in "extending a courtesy" in refunding her fees. The seller has vintage shirts she can resell, I am out the shirt costs, and ArtFire feels this is A Okay! Might as well just gave away money. Don't visit either vender.
Ordered an item from a seller on artfire very disappointed with the company and the seller's represented on the site. I ordered a Wilson Clash 100 tennis racquet, received an envelope that stated I ordered wall clamps. Mind you the envelope was received with an invoice for wall clamps with tracking number for the Racquet. This is why people do not order things online because of the risk of being scammed out of their hard-working money. Requesting a refund is a joke and also a scam.
I bought an air compressor and the address was incorrect. I contacted Artfire and the answer one week later was to contact the actual seller. I did, with no answer. I contacted Artfire again and the answer one week later was to do a claim on Pay Pal. As you can ser they are just the worst nightmare
I bought am item (dress form) from their site. I returned it because it was wrong one and never received refund from their seller and they would not back me up on my claim. They said they had nothing to do with what their sellers did! Ive been trying since December to get my $67+ back, 15 emails to both art & fire & seller "renicence jewels". DO NOT DEAL with this company!
I ordered from Design Cool which sell on Art Fire! Nothing but lies from both! I thought looking for Detroit Tiger flip flops was easy and not scary! WRONG! Found a Universal pair so I bought a woman's and men's pair for a gift for Easter basket. Sade made in USA and shipped in 2-3 business days...
Foreign seller, numerous ship info and then said DHL e-commerce. Lol as for Art Fire useless. They do NOTHING to assist but standard responds! I've reported to BBB and stop payment on my credit card! I refuse, like some to let them have my money! Not even a penny! If you've been scammed use copies of email and purchase receipt and cancel on your card!
I ordered a portable ice maker from a "seller" on Art Fire. I received a confirmation email right away. Honestly their email name just seemed like a joke. I waited a couple of weeks for the item to arrive. That never happened. So I emailed the seller, who in true ArtFire fashion never responded. Then I clicked on the shop link from the previous confirmation email. Guess what? The shop no longer existed! The emails I sent to ArtFire customer service weren't responded to for several weeks. Even their reply was generic at best (probably used for all of their unhappy customers). They basically suggested I reach out to the seller (who had vanished obviously), or reach out to my credit card company/ paypal to dispute the charges. Thankfully I had already done that instead of waiting for their ridiculousness. Added bonus that my credit card company protects their customers better than ArtFire! Just know that ArtFire did not get the memo regarding customer service. They simply pass the buck and go about their day. Is there a zero star option?
They sent an empty envelope that is not even big enough for a six person spa. I reached out to both the website and the shop that is under another name now... Leeanshoop with an email of *******@outlook.com. Buyer beware, scam, scam, scam!
I would give them 5 stars except for the fact that they do not have nearly as much traffic as Etsy. I sold over 2,000 items in the first 9 months on Etsy and only 344 in 12 months on Artfire but I will say that Artfire is the way to go if you have 100s of items like I do. The fee's on Etsy sure adds up quickly. I pay only $5.95/mo on Artfire regardless of wether I sell or not and no limit on how many items. On Etsy my fee's with re-listing and commission is anywhere from $100-$350 every month! And I hardly ever re-list unless it expires. Many sellers go on a re-listing frenzy in order to stay on the top which I consider to be a waste of $$$. I just hope that Artfire will catch up in terms of traffic and sales. Otherwise they are perfect!
Just become a seller on the Artfire.com. Pay for $20/month for a selling plan with additional 9% of combination fee. That's all I see on the plan. Listed over 900 items in the month of July/2015. Sold only 2 items. And last week I got a bills for the commission selling, and I was very surprised because they added more 3% on each items sell. So I end up paying 12%. Email them ask why I got the additional 3%. They email me back saying that is the Hidden fee for commercial top-level category. And I still don't know what's it. If you want to because a seller, just stick with Etsy. This site is totally not worth a try. Many hidden fee and not many traffics. Listed over 900 items in 30days and got 2 items sold. Lost money, wasted time.
I never write reviews but this experience was so bad that need to write one. I ordered a jersey on March 1st and then it says it shipped on March 17th and I still haven't gotten it. I've tried to reach out to the seller but it won't let me. Totally scam. Don't use this website
I am a seller on ArtFire and also have bought many, many items from sellers there. GREAT customer service, both as a buyer and a seller. It's too bad so many people knock a site overall when they run across a bad seller, which can be found on any site, Etsy, Zibbett, etc. Most sellers I know (on any site) are very professional in running their shops and will bend over backwards to provide the customer what they want - and then go a bit beyond that. I love selling on ArtFire and doing business there... and will continue.
No merchandise, no order confirmation, no reply to any form of contact, no phone number, cannot find online, used paypal to international address, filed dispute with paypal, given only a fake ups tracking number showing delivered after just two days, paypal dismissed claim. Have filed a dispute with charge card. SCAM!
Run. Run as fast as you can. I am another customer that placed an order through their site, and paid for the merchandise that I have NEVER RECEIVED.
They say they are just the "host" - nothing they can do. It appears they are "hosting" a bunch of problematic vendors. Go to Etsy - way more professional and won't give you an ulcer.
Answer: Mine took a couple of weeks to ship, it was faulty so had to return it. I never saw my money again, it is pretty much your word against the sellers and ArtFire pretty much just sits back and says they have nothing to do with it. Don't buy from them, it's not worth the aggravation.
Answer: Make a claim on BBB or email artfire.com directly
Answer: I maded an order the order number is 2567947 and I have not receive it
