I LOVE AMAZON! I've placed literally hundreds of orders over the last five years or so, and I'm now a prime member. Their service is quick, their billing is accurate, and they really care about whether or not their customers are satisfied. I haven't had any problems with orders that were actually amazon's fault. A couple shipping issues, and one problem that was a result of living in a bad neighborhood, and amazon has gone above and beyond to correct the problem, even when they didn't cause the problem. I am a forever amazon.com customer. If I'm going to order something on the internet because I can't find it locally, I ALWAYS check amazon first, because if they have what I need, it is always the most hassle-free way for me to get it. Love amazon. LOVE IT!
I have been buying regularly from amazon for 3 years now and any problems have normally been courier based. I will be using it a lot this holiday season. I am huge fan of the one stop shop mentality I can track my orders check when it was I ordered something to see if its still in warranty etc.

I love Amazon. It so much more than just books now. I've purchased boots, drug store type items, food items, electronics, kitchen items and yes books too from Amazon. All at great prices and usually with free shipping. I can't recall single issue I ever had with an Amazon purchase or an Amazon Marketplace purchase. On more than one occasion I've been shopping for an item on a different site then I'll check Amazon just for comparison and Amazon is the cheaper option. Plus I love it for online movie and tv show rentals/buy. It has a more current slections than Hulu.com. If you haven't checked out Amazon in awhile, you should take a look.
1. Video On Demand: they are trying to compete with netflix/itunes/etc, but here is the problem... while they do have a great selection and reasonable prices the quality of the video cannot even begin to compare to that of netflix or itunes right now. Plus they somehow lack the ability to buffer the video, so if your connection slows during playback the entire video stops. This never has happened to me on netflix or itunes. Did I mention this was on a T1 line? They give you the option to download the movie to your PC if the connection is too slow, but here is the catch, if you started watching the video already you have to pay AGAIN to download the video. So make sure you test out their connection before you pay for their VOD services, my T1 line was too slow for them. I give them a meh rating as of 12/2010 but hope in the future they get their act together. They clearly rolled this out before it was ready in hopes to gain market share of the VOD services.
2. Kindle: here I give amazon a full heart, for books they are doing it right. Very seemless and easy to use. Almost magical in the way you can be reading a book within minutes.
3. books/DVDs: here again they deserve a full heart. Fast service and I do much of my xmas shopping here.
I love Amazon.com. They offer excellent promotions. I always compare prices, so I don't just buy from Amazon because they offer free shipping. I have liked the fact that they offer excellent products and the fast free shipping is a bonus. I also like the fact I can read reviews of products. I repeat, I always compare prices.
I have used Amazon.com for several years with no problems. I always order from highly rated users and I always read the reviews. Many times I can order an item and can have it delivered for free. It's come in handy for homeschooling books and supplies. I trust Amazon.com when I buy online.

You can read reviews on products and on different suppliers and there is usually a very good range of products with good value prices. Make sure you take the delivery cost into account when choosing a product.

I usually have a pretty good experience with Amazon. Every now and again they are unable to fulfill an item in my order, but thankfully that doesn't happen too often. On the other hand, they have never gotten my order wrong and my stuff is usually sent in a timely manner. I have never had to contact customer service. I am well pleased and will continue to order from Amazon.
One of the websites AMAZON advertised cheated me out of $105. AMAZON not only didn't care, but didn't want to collect any info about this co. So, this company can continue to rip off an untold number of customers and AMAZON will continue to let them advertise on their site.

I saw the bad reviews, but the Canon SX210 seemed like an awesome deal. Never got the camera, all of the run-arounds like you've read from the other customers. The refused to refund my money and stated that I would have to get my money back from the credit card company. That sometimes takes weeks and I was only trying to get a camera to go on vacation and didn't have much time. Luckily, paypal got my hard-earned money back and I was able to purchase the camera elsewhere from a reputable, authorized Canon dealer... STAY AWAY FROM PRIMO!

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
