Support local small businesses instead before it is too late and don't shop on Amazon! This si a very immoral and greedy company. Don't buy from them.
Amazon are excellent for returns and refunds, one of the best company's I have ever dealt with for this.
Buy from Amazon itself not sellers using Amazon to sell through.
You can get some great bargains at much lower prices on Amazon, but as on any site occasionally you can get the items cheaper elsewhere.
Free super saver delivery is great if you are not in a rush. My super saver items always come in good time as long as they are in stock so no problems there.
Occasionally the items take longer as they are not in stock, when you go to order just keep an eye on the time scales it gives you for delivery, it a good indication of how long you will wait. Need it faster? Go to the high street and buy it.
4 stars not 5 as I have had occasion were I have waited 5 weeks for a dvd ( around Xmas time when they are very busy). But when i emailed complaining it suddenly arrived a few days later...
Amazon customer services are good, so maybe the odd nudge to them is worth while;-)

Amazon them selves are very bad in deliverying parcels and am surpised they do not have a feedback them selves, I recieved my book 4 weeks late, we all buy from Amazon, but i do feel they need to have a feedback them selves too.
A disgusting company to deal with. Bought a circular saw from Amazon UK Warehouse. Delivery tracking didn't move for days so I rang CS. They said there was a problem with the delivery on their side.
They offered a refund and stated (Agent named Eslam G) that if I purchased a new circular saw (same model) Amazon would pay the difference & I would not be left paying the higher price for the issues caused by Amazon. On the basis of this promise I purchased a new one. It arrived 3 weeks later. I called CS & after 65 mins dealing with their agents was told they lied and would not be honouring the promise that induced me to purchase the higher priced saw. The agent repeatedly refused to give me contact details to file a formal complaint and ended the call. Later their social media team told me they do not do "post order price adjustment" when it was not a post order price adjustment but a pre-order promissory inducement to contract (I'm a qualified barrister so its something I'm familiar with). They then refuse to answer when told this fact.
This is what you are dealing with with Amazon. A company that lies through its teeth, does not believe it is required to uphold its promises which induce its customers to give them more money and basically tell you to go to hell once they have your money.
O. K for some cheaper items, have been scammed twice to cut a long story short sent a cheap ish phone off to guess the country and learned my lesson never ever done that since! Ordered a netbook power adaptor the other week took ages to arrive ill fitting and burnt out within 2 hours of usage although got full refund 5 days later! BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU DEAL WITH! Also lots of items available on this website can be picked up much cheaper elsewhere! :(
Love Amazon. If you plan on ordering a lot its worth upgrading to Amazon Prime - think its about £49 per year - but you get free unlimited next delivery with it.
I love the speed that amazon delivers its products. Always within 24 hours. The checkout process is fast too. They always remember my details so its easy to check out.

They ask me to call to elaborate (I've already told them everything) but I refuse because I just know I'll have to explain over and over and they still won't get it
I replied to a manager email that HE should call ME. I'm told that's impossible because email team can't ring out! So I ask my complaint to be passed to telephone team. Whereupon I'm told they don't want to speak to me after all as they need a written record

Tracking showed that my item was 'handed to resident' on the 29th December. It wasn't because no one was home, neither was it handed to any of my neighbours.
Customer services on the morning of the 30th told me that sometimes drivers marked items as delivered by mistake, and it would definitely be delivered that afternoon or on the 31st.
It wasn't.
Customer services told me on the 2nd January that Amazon were not responsible as it was not an Amazon item, but they would issue me a refund which would take at least 5 business days to reach my bank.
They take the money straight away, lose the item, blame someone else and blame the bank for keeping my money for at least 5 working days.
I'd give zero stars if it were possible.
I was a seller for few months. Not a single complaint from a client etc. Everyone was happy. Then suddenly account gets blocked without explanation. First I thought it's a technical error.
I called up the customer rep and was told that someone will call be back within 2 days. No one ever called.
I repeated the above about 5 times. No one ever got back to me.
I thought that my account got hacked and sent a letter directly to Amazon UK. Just like with the phone calls, they didn't bother to respond. It became obvious that the company has something to hide.
I have a reason to believe that I was a victim of discrimination and they don't want to admit that so I can't sue them.
I spoke to a lawyer about the whole thing and I requested copy of my documents via letter. They refused to provide me with information whom should I address in that letter (so called data controller) which is already an offence in the EU. I got it somehow and sent a letter but just like before they ignored it (offence number two: they're legally obliged to respond within 40 days)
I had to use legal letter to get ANY response. Their response was that they wouldn't give me anything until I verify my ID. So I did. Now they request a copy of my lease: D
I believe I'm on something here. A company that doesn't have anything to hide doesn't act like that so I will continue my journey.
Also as a way of saying thank you for their cooperation I will be creating a special website and facebook page which guides people on how to get their information from them step by step, for free.

Honestly the best delivery times, and prices are great.
If you are willing to wait more than 1 day which is prime haha, you will save even more money.
Well, I never thought I would be writing a negative review about Amazon. After many years as loyal customers, and being a Prime member for many years, spending a lot of money, I find myself writing a negative review.
Whilst being Prime members we have never had problems with faulty, not as described, not received goods, etc. Now we have cancelled out Prime membership, the customer service and customer support has become sub-standard. It just shows that you are not treated equally and there is no equality.
If we had a problem with an item, the money was refunded either as soon as the item was returned or within a very quick period of time. Now we have cancelled our Prime membership, we have had nothing but trouble getting a simple refund for an item that was clearly sold '!s new' but was infact 'ex-display' and not as described. This is a clear cut case and should have warranted an immediate refund.
After contacting the seller and getting no response, then one response, and no further response, we contacted Amazon. There was excuse, after excuse. They eventually said they would refund the money and said it will be in your account, but it wasn't.
So bearing in mind they said they had refunded it! Two days later they send a message saying, "your A-Z claim has been successful and we will be refunding you payment."
So the initial refund they said they had refunded, they had not actually refunded it. Now I will have to wait another 7 days for a refund. In total that will be 15 days from the item being received back by the seller.
Why would you receive lesser customer service than a Prime member? Surely, all customers should receive the same customer service, after all we are all customers. Why is a non-prime member discriminated against?
We are disgusted and disappointed in the service we have paid for, and this is not the experience we have become accustomed to over the many years with amazon.

£100 taken for my account for Playstation gift vouchers that I did not purchase. I had a nine character password! I have tried to get a refund from Amazon and they have refused. I do not own a Playstation so £100 of gift vouchers are useless to me. I did not purchase these and only discovered that Amazon asserted a purchase was made when I received an email receipt. Even then there was only one email for one £50 voucher! Looking at my account, it showed 2 x £50 vouchers were purchased! I have not redeemed the vouchers and Amazon have decided to keep my money. I have been defrauded by Amazon and there seems to be no way of recovering my money. Amazon have even tried to get me to make a claim against PlayStation despite the fact that the purchase shows on Amazon and I have no account with PlayStation. I have been lied to and cheated by Amazon. It now turns out there was a third attempt by a fraudster to purchase a 3rd gift card from Amazon on my account, however, on this attempt my bank blocked the purchase! AMAZON have still not refunded the money!
Have not purchased from this site HOWEVER I have purchased from King of Software before, twice to be exact. I have never had issues with them and am confident they are not run by this supposed scammer.
