The photo below reveals various forms of flash memory ordered from Chinese vendors on AliExpress. Additionally, I returned (for $17.90 USPS shipping) 4 Lenovo labeled USB sticks. They were not the least expensive in their categories, preferably name brands, but were less expensive than Amazon, for example. None of the devices received worked properly; all failed multiple tests for fake flash - they had usable memory ranging from 1 TB of 2 TB advertised to 1 GB of 16 TB advertised. All devices were tested within a day or two of receipt using FakeFlashTest on Windows and f3probe/f3write/f3read on Linux. The devices indicated the advertised size to software, but generally could not be formatted with NTFS, ext4, or btrfs file systems - each of which distributes and stores redundant copies of important file access tables in higher sectors. Each was reported to Aliexpress within the 15-day return period asking for a full refund with no return. All of the vendors pushed back with silly requests like a video of the product and stated the screenshots did not reveal any problems. One claimed they were only useful as exFAT formatted devices (which is the formatting that came on them) but even with that format, they did not hold the claimed amounts of content. (My computer spent days copying terabytes of video and pictures to them)
AliExpress needs to police its vendors much better because deliberate fraud is rampant.
Good and bad. Most of what the distinction hinges on is the individual sellers though, where some are excelent, while some are just terrible.
For Aliexpress services however, there are some to understand. First of all, its almost impossible to get in contact with some sort of customer support - the one method Ive found that is somewhat successful is through Facebook. Even when you do, its pretty much just canned answers, when things go off-script you realize the person you are speaking to likely have a very basic grasp of the english language.
Then we have the ugly: The dispute system. Before I ever used this I had the notion it was safe shopping there given their claims of customer protection. This, however is pretty much just mot true: One example is where one item I received (out of several in the same package) was broken. Tried speaking to the seller who only replied using the same copy-paste message explaining that the shipment was already sent and that I should be patient, meaning he/she either didnt read or didt understand what I wrote, same thing happened five times. I made a dispute claim, but that never got responded to by Aliexpress.
Another example was when half of the items ordered was simply missing from the package. Couldnt get a reply from the seller, so I made a dispute claim. Just hours later, the dispute was rejected due to lack of evidence. Exactly which evidence the expect that would prove things where not in the box I still dont know; takes no genious to understand you cant ever prove this - well, I had one thought that if you film the entire process from collecting the package up until you discover things are missing might be enough, but who knows.
So in short: yes, there are a lot of things and prices can be insanely good. That said, unless its a seller you trust from experience or recomendation by trusted friends never by anything with money you cant afford to lose since any issue will be hour issue and youll get no help whatsoever.
I bought a Xiaomi smartphone from ALIEXPRESS.com, as a first time buyer I felt very happy, received the phone yesterday, the shipment almost took a month, and turn out to be a fake one. It is functioning but the specifications are way below the original (bad AnTuTu Benchmark score, app crash, can't download nothing, bad camera, etc). I hope that I can get my refund. This is my first time experience buying from ALIEXPRESS.com and I got scammed.

I have to start the story at the beginning. Six years ago I suffered kidney failure from training incorrectly for an ultra marathon. Too much salt, too little water, too little attention. Since then my running has become walking and lately the only sport I can do is riding on my home built e-bike. Being competitive by nature I was excited to being able to enter the an icomic 109 km cycle race, on my e-bike. Problem is, will my battery last? To try and get that question answered and the fact that locally e-bikes are expensive and new concept, I bought several batteries from Aliexpress over a period of months. Here is where the story of extremely poor service starts.
I have been doing business with Aliexpress for years. Generally the product was delivered or refund given. Now as most knows, our local Post Office is non-functional. So, importing anything has been a disaster. After payment, Aliexpress notifies me of shipping and the transit of the package which eventually ends in delivered. To make matters worse they say they delivered it to my address. Not that I receive anything, but they delivered it. To where I still have to find out because they never give a signature or a place where they delivered it, no matter how much I ask. They require the Post Ofiice to supply me with missing proof of parcel. Which is impossible. They never give a South African tracking number - so the post office will never give you anything because their tracking number does not pull through. So one is stuck without proof and without anything. Eventually, no matter how much you correspond with Aliexpress, they always rule against you. I corresponded with the post office (local, area and provincial), with customs, phone the Post Office Help line several times (never an answer), held on for more than an hour (no answer), contacted their shipping company in China, contacted the seller, proved that the post office is non-functional, even bought some stuff at Amazon to see how they do it. All in vain. 4 Batteries bought, zero arrived. I even went to buy loose batteries from a seller that uses DHL, only to have it changed to "Sellers own method" and resulting non delivery. Aliexpress was deaf to my 17 documents of proof maintaining their supposed delivery which didn't even give a local tracking number. It suits them never to answer your questions about - prove delivery. No, you, the client must proof non - delivery. What absolute hogwash. A non-legal concept.
Now 8 months later, I will never buy from them again. They never ship to your address and our Post Office is defunct. For me the worse, is that they always not pay out even though it is plainly their mistake. Protecting their trader, against the paying client, that is their motto. I have a 48 page document that backs up everything I say.
BOUGHT A SCOPE FROM THEM IT CAME LOOSE INSDE AND WAS UNUSABLE AFTER 4 MONTHS.

I decided to try this site only because the prices were incredibly low. Here are my real-life experiences with this site. I decided in 2022 to give this site a try and see if it was worth buying from. I decided on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 replacement screen. Normally this screen is close to 200 but I got one on this site for 35. It took about 3 weeks to get it as it was coming from China. I was well packaged and arrived undamaged. The problem was there was no hookup wiring harness attached to the board or any instructions. I know how to replace these screens as I have done it several times; I am hard on my computers. I contacted Aliexpress and enclosed a picture of the item. Aliexpress promptly refunded me the full purchase price and did not require me to ship it back. This at least showed me this site was a legitimate site. So, since then I have ordered numerous items and had virtually no problems. The last item I bought was a Posturepedic dog bed for my large dog. The price for this in the USA is close to 200; Aliexpress sold it to me for 52.00. There were no shipping charges nor was there any TAX! They guaranteed the item would arrive in 1 week; I received it in 5 days! I do not know how long this tax-free status will stay in effect but the savings you get far outweigh any tax. You can also pull up the item you want and compare prices from different vendors to get the best prices. Read carefully the description of the item you are ordering so there are no misunderstandings. If you are dissatisfied with an item you have an Aliexpress guarantee. I did have one item that was not as described and requested a partial refund but was refused for no good reason and presently contesting it but it was not a big ticket item and I did get part of the order so not total loss. Lots of items ship free for a very small shipping charge. Large items can require large shipping charges so check shipping charges closely. The only real negative is the long travel delay to get to you which is generally 2-3 weeks although some items ship in just a week. Basically, you are getting great prices as you did on eBay 25 years ago but I imagine over time this will change. I used my PayPal account to pay for items and had absolutely no problems. Not all items have great prices but most are a fraction of what it will cost you in the USA. Aliexpress has almost any item you are looking for and if you buy online as I do, I would strongly advise you to give this great site a try. I get no compensation from Aliexpress for this review but I like to review great products and sites as well as very bad ones. What a f*cking nightmare.
I tried to ordered a hockey jersey. The website was incredibly unclear. But I managed to find what I thought I wanted. I placed the order and, as the instructions noted, mentioned the name and jersey number in the comment on the order.
I was then contacted and told the jersey I wanted wasn't available, please pick something else.
So I said I didn't want something else and I'd just cancel my order.
I was then told I had to lie about the reason I cancelled my order (and say I changed my mind or something as opposed to saying Aliexpress didn't have the item I wanted) or they couldn't process my refund.
So I did what they said because I was tired of dealing with their $#*!ty customer service...
After cancelling my order, I received an email saying the order had shipped. Of course, the tracking info on the shipment didn't work...
So I asked the seller what had shipped? And why was it shipped after I cancelled? The seller responded by ignoring my questions and telling me to open a dispute if I wanted a refund.
It turns out you can't open a dispute until 10 days after the shipping date... So I waited and, again, asked what had shipped and why?
My questions were ignored.
Finally, the 10 days passed and I could open a dispute. Except the dispute process doesn't allow you to choose options that were in any way relevant to my situation. So I did the best I could and explained things in the comments... Now I'm awaiting a response.
I placed my order Nov. 5, it's now the 27th. I have no product, no refund, no idea what's going on and really no hope for a positive outcome.
AVOID ALI-EXPRESS! It is the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had.

Using AliExpress is a REAL GAMBLE. Sure there are some honest sellers there. But AliExpress' "buyer protection"/"dispute/claim" process is a JOKE.
Everything is set up unfairly favoring dishonest sellers, sellers get longer to reply to disputes, they get longer to ship the item, long time to wait for its to arrive and the claim process is all about wasting buyer's time while holding on to your money unfairly. If you have a problem with something you purchase you only have 8 days to file a dispute or the option is completely removed.
Buying from AliExpress you are at risk of getting items that are:
- full of TOXIC CHEMICALS (COMPLETE WITH NAUSEATING SMELLS THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED).
- bait and switch scams, pretty photos in the listing but items that look like a forced child worker tried to make a copy of it. Bad stitching, falling apart, uneven, things you'd never buy if you saw it in a store first.
- wrong size, no matter how specific and accurate you are when ordering about the size you need some sellers have products that are incorrectly labeled and do not measure to check for accuracy.
- no item at all with fake tracking numbers that never update.
The list goes on but whatever the problem may be that is the seller's error/scam AliExpress will ask you to pay again for shipping the item back to the seller (more money out of your pocket) and then the seller can simply refuse the package and still keep your money. If they allow you to have a refund without paying more out of your pocket to fix the seller's mistakes they may only offer you a very tiny partial refund. So let me recap, you pay, you have the item shipped to you, the seller makes a mistake and you are asked to share your money or pay more to fix the problem.
The couple of dollars you might save using the site simply isn't worth the potential for loss, its better to stick with Trusted Sites like Ebay for any shopping with China.

Answer: In my opinion. NO. I had to jump through hoops and make reports and threaten to make reports, it didn't help. I got my order, but couldve gotten the same thing from ebay faster and easier.
Answer: I purchased 3 pair of van's brand shoes via different companies on aliexppress and all were true to size. The off brands are not, so you need larger than you wear. But, ask and ali will usually provide a size comparison chart for you to use.

Sellers asking for your your PayPal account to make a refund when they are suppose tp use Alipay. Clean up dishonest sellers like co-co fashion store. Answer: Do not buy from aliexpress the quality is terrible and lots of sellers never send the items. Also they sell counterfeit designs too which is illegal to purchase.
