Its not a bad website but it all depends on the seller you buy from. What l would say about Aliexpress is you really need to do a thorough search on the sellers and seeing their reviews then you buy, never do instant buying just cos of the price you will loose your money.

The best way to approach aliexpress is to read the reviews on the product u want and even better is some people posts real pics when they receive it which helps. They will tell you to buy a size up or stay the same... also helpful.
I also find downloading the app is great because I can keep track of my orders.

The samples arrived in good order and very quickly within a few days. When I placed a bulk order, the shipment took over 3 weeks, the items arrived damaged or broken (there were no proper padding for the glass jars). The dispute process is joke. I need to prove that I didn't break those jars and also need to submit individual photo of each item as well as an assessment report from Fedex. It was a waste of my time.
