I have never been disappointed with books I have ordered. The sellers have been accurate in their condition ratings and I have received delivery in a timely manner. I always check here first before buying a book. The website is very user friendly and that makes it a pleasant experience as well.

The book is fine and much as described. Shipping was very slow and the book was poorly packed especially for an overseas delivery.

The book was delivered by USPS on a very rainy day, dropped onto our wet, uncovered front steps (not placed in mailbox), in the rain. Although in a lightweight plastic shipping bag, the book got very wet, from both the front and back covers. Pages were wet from the front and from the back, to about mid-book. The spine binding peeled apart. While readable and useable, it is essentially ruined. I sent an email to Half Price Books, who were apparently the shipper, informing them of the delivery issue. Haven't heard a word from them.

Placed 3-book order on 12/18/25. Shipping process didn't start until 12/26/25. Order arrived on 1/5/26. Note: I wasn't concerned about "Christmas arrival". The books were for myself. I just don't remember past orders being processed & (free-)shipped as slowly as this one was. Not to worry, though; Alibris will get future orders from me.

Your site shows some items qualifying for free shipping, but I couldn't find many that did. You should have a filter for that or some easier way to find the books that offer free shipping.

I ordered an item to be shipped to another individual, and it arrived within 5 days. Very pleased with this seller's prices and prompt delivery.

Easy search. Many options for used books, and options for expedited shipping with certain sellers. Easy to set up an account. Overall great experience.

I ordered a variety of childrens books that were used. There condition was as expected or better. The prices were good and delivery times were ok. It wasa good call.

Book was ordered outside of the cutoff window for a Christmas delivery. Arrived soundly on Christmas Eve.

It was confusing when the "free shipping" did not kick in until the last "review" page. Maybe show that sooner in the cart as soon as it meets the requirement? As a new customer, I ended up clicking back and forth a few times wondering why it still showed a shipping charge in the cart. Not being able to see the items in the cart easily was not helpful also; as I lost track what I put into it after awhile.

Database is easy to search; books are listed by price and show condition; there's away to reduce shipping costs by managing cart. Plus, I've awlays had a good experience buying form alibris.

Shopping on Alibris is convenient, easy and great on the wallet. I appreciate the email updates when a seller is slow or unable to fill my order.

The purchase was a quick and seamless experience. I received an email the next day to to inform me the item was shipped. But checking the tracking status on the website showed me something incorrect. I queried the shipping with the store that sold the item. They informed me that for an international shipment, the item is first shipped to a location in the U.S.A. before being transferred to the final courier. I think this detail should be included in the shipment email, or on the order status page where the link to the tracking is. But all up it was an excellent experience.

I wish I knew about Alibris before I flushed cash down the Amazon and Abebooks bucket with Mick Herron books. I found the pictures of the book I purchased were accurate and matched the description provided by the seller. I have since completed my book collection. But will look to this site if needed in the future!

Really bad website. Doesn't tell shipping costs, so don't know real cost of books. Hard to find a truck book to reduce shipping. Goes on from there.

It was easy to find the book I was looking for. The option for looking at details of the individual book was very helpful in making my decision.

I love Alibris as an alternative to Amazon. I have always felt I get better value for my money on partnered independent book sellers on Alibris. Highly recommend this platform.
