There's no way to contact this company, they list phone numbers for many countries none work. They advertised a hotel with airport shuttle service when I called the hotel they couldn't find the reservation and did not have a shuttle service. When I try to contact agoda via email they said "48 hrs", I expect I will never hear from them. My only option is to dispute the charge on my credit card
Using Agoda was the WORST travel arrangement experience ever for me! They confirmed the hotel-1 (5-star), which included breakfast. Then after a month they informed me that hotel room is not available. They forced me to take a downgrade to a hotel-2 (4 star), charged me more money, and also fooled me by not including the breakfast. I won't recommend Agoda to anybody. If you want a stressful travel planning then surely work with them.
Agoda guest booked a non refundable room and agoda gave them a full refund. They said the guest booked the wrong location but only after a week and not showing up the night of the reservation. Agoda lists our hotel clearly with address etc. Do not use this booking site. You can get the same deal or better by emailing, calling, or messaging the hotel/resort direct. They charge a 25% commission and they do not pay us on time.
Great pictures of many different types of accommodation. The option to choose room types and board basis within each property to suit my party size and requirements was very useful. The filters helped narrow down my requirements. The only thing that I disliked was the annoyance of the original price increasing by 10% during the booking, Whilst I appreciate certain taxes and fees have to be added, I would prefer to see an all inclusive price at the beginning.
I signed up as a member. And after booking my first room I referred 2 friends. 1 of my referrals used them that night. I never received any points from them and neither did my referral. I still used them 3 more times. It still shows I haven't booked any rooms with them. Customer service is a bot. And doesn't help with anything concerning the app. I finally found a phone number and after talking to another bot I was finally directed to a representative. Completely useless. I suggest using the Wyndham app. They have a point system that is impressive. Don't waste your money with this company
This is a absolute shame of a "company" they book you the wrong dates for the wrong hotel, so that when it's "booked" they can slap on a non refundable tag on it so you are screwed! Please do NOT use agoda. Just contact the property themselves.
I've been traveling around Asia booking hotels trough Agoda for a month, on my last booking I was overcharged more than 45% on the original price that was showing on the website.
I contacted Agoda, in total it was 3 emails, always answered from a different person.
At the end they didn't pay back the overcharged money and stopped answering my email.
Unfortunately the was the very last time I'll use the service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I found better hotels rates on this website compared to quite a few other popular websites, the hotel I booked was $10.00(USD) less than any of the other websites.
One minor suggestion when using filters on the website it's a bit user UNfriendly, as you have to input one filter at a time, why not give the customer an opportunity to enter all filters then re-search.
Agoda customer service is horrendously awful. If you make any error on your booking it is a full time job to contact them. And then they lie, are unhelpful and inflexible!
I made a one day error in my booking and they are unwilling to allow me to amend the reservation by one day. I must pay for the night I won't even be in that city. They blame the hotel. The hotel blames them.
Book with AGODA only if you need extra frustration in your life!
Agoda is an absolute joke. We booked several hotels with them for our trip of south east asia and had no problems, until now. We booked the monument hotel in Phnom Penh and the room we were given was well below the standard I would expect from them and below that described on the hotels website. So I spent an age trying to find out how to complain to agoda after getting nowhere with the hotel. The customer service rep I spoke to didn't seem that bothered in sorting out my problem, my options we're pay more or leave, not see another room. And when I'd sent them several emails with pictures of my issues they replied asking for pictures and what my issues with the room were. When I asked them if they had read any of my previous emails the response I got was pay up or move with a comment similar to mine about reading previous emails. Never again will I use them and the complaints procedure is there to infuriate you into submission!
I booked a hotel on a holiday weekend through Agoda. They processed payment and sent me a booking confirmation for the stay. 8 days later, and 1 day before check-in, they emailed me that my reservation was cancelled because the property was fully booked. I had already travelled to the location of the hotel and did not see the email until the day of the stay. Due to it being a holiday weekend, every hotel in the area was fully booked by then and I had to drive out of my vacation area 1.5 hours to find a place to stay. To add insult to injury, Agoda sent me an email the day after I was supposed to check out and asked me to review the hotel they cancelled on me! I will NEVER use Agoda again!
This site helps you book hotels. However, they mislead you with 'Cancellation Charges'. When booking is made, they show hotel cancellation policy which is 'Full Refund' if the booking is cancelled beyond certain number of days. However, they don't display their 'Processing Fees' for any cancellation in the text that displays cancellation policy. Thus, I got charged $15 for a hotel stay for one night of $25 although hotel did not charge any cancellation charges. Therefore, 'BE CAREFUL' while making any hotel booking thru www.agoda.com
Hi, I hope this review can help somebody... I run a hotel since 6 months, never wanted to go with agoda.
The previous owner had an account with the old hotel name. Apparently, but this I cannot certify, he contacted agoda to close the old account.
I also contacted agoda many times to tell them the account needs to be closed.
We are now in full season, since 6 months nothing has been done and customers are arriving here as they booked through agoda on the old hotel. They also of course paid upfront.
Agoda is not doing anything despite me sending lots of e-mails, not even sure they are giving you the money back. Well done agoda.
Booked a room at a super 8 motel. 158.00 during the week. We got there and the motel was horrible. Walls with holes in them, dirt everywhere and the bathroom matt was black from who knows what. Anyway, no cancelation policy with agora. If you are selling a product, in this case a motel room, you should stand behind it. They got me this time but never again.
Agoda is a superb online service; easy to use, informative with regards to a variety of establishments, and have super insider deals that are difficult to ignore!
I have now used Agoda on several occasions and introduced some friends who don't regret subscribing!
I booked a reservation on Agoda at 7 pm at night when my flight got cancelled. When I got to the hotel, they had no record of the reservation and they were sold out.
The web site said that the reservation had been made. After arguing with the front desk for 20 minutes, I went to another hotel. Today, I get an email from them saying that the reservation didn't go through. For this, they gave me a $4.40 coupon!
What a joke (and an insult)
I booked two nights and hotel charged my credit card with another unknown hotel name. Later Agoda cancelled my booking and said their was a technical issue. Then upon complaining, said due to non refundable policy Agoda can't help and my money has been lost and they can't do anything now.
Provided lots of proofs of payment but they didn't believe. Hotel said they can't help because it has been cancelled already.
I really don't trust Agoda and would never recommend anyone to go with them.
Worst customer service experience. Very slow response via email. People in charge of booking changes go home early so urgent matters can not be dealt with during the afternoon.
Recently I had to cancel the air ticket booked through Agoda. The airline returned the small amount, however this agency cut 1000 Rs for a domestic travel as a processing fees. I felt very disappointed.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
