It was really bad experience with agoda as i booked the hotel and money got deducted four times and for multiple booking were made, i request to cancel the 3 other booking and keep one which we booked, even spoke to their customer care manager executive, they said ok but there was no booking when I reached to hotel, i get know that they cancel all the booking without any confirmation, it was really disappointing because i was with my family and it will be really difficult during night time
My husband and I used this site to book a stay in NYC. The place was disgusting and no one was wearing masks. We were treated by an person under the influence who didn't even work there. We immediately left and called agoda. They were very unhelpful and basically told us they can't help us. As a booking agency there job is to give their customers security in the booking and they failed to do so.
Hotel booking through Agoda is a breeze. The hotel selections are wide and price is reasonable, especially through tie-up with esteemed air carriers, such as Singapore Airlines. Positive experience every time!
I booked for two nights at a hotel but cancelled the second night within 24 hours. Room was dirty- I stopped payment but they assured me they would give me my money back for the 2nd night but 2 months later and I've yet to get my refund! Pretty underhanded if you ask me! I won't use them again that's for sure!
The booking went very well and I was satisfied with the extremely economical price for a 2 bedroom suite in Phuket. Agoda is my booking site of choice because of the room details, helpful customer reviews and efficient online service.
Agoda is a helpful tool to find acc, however it is only of good use when comparing with other acc booking sites when booking. The trouble is the rating scheme of those sites. It stands not in favor of the consumer, but adds to price rises for hotels with average services just due to a certain exposure and continuity. I recommend not to rate or to rate down hotels lower even if the stay was pleasant, so that than other customers can enjoy same value for money.
I went through Trip Advisor - can't believe they send you to this site - booked a hotel - gave them my credit card.
Then they send me an email saying that they want to confirm my credit card by doing a small charge. Then they ask me to confirm the small charge. Ok I do it. Then, immediately they send through the large charge.
Every bank's fraud detection software looks for small charges followed by large charges - that's how people who steal credit card numbers verify the card is good.
Of course my bank declined the large charge then notified me. Within hours this site cancelled my reservation at a fully booked property and I am left with little options.
I can't believe these morons are still in business and am now looking poorly at Trip Advisor for directing me there.
I have booked all my travel accommodation through Agoda at countries eg. Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Sydney, Melbourne and Korea. This list will extend in the near future as booking through agoda is not only easy but affordable

It provide one of the best navigating & neat informative searched page, displaying great deal from hotels with hotel outlook, rank/review rating, the very important "FREE WIFI", and how many other people are eyeing the same hotel so you'll tell how popular they are now so you can make quicker decision to seal my deal before the great deal got slipped right through my eyes and gone. Hooray. No more nagging from my wife or family and I'm a happy man.:-D

We had terrible issues with the hotel we stayed, blood on every linen, no pillow, cleanliness issues so we complained to Agoda as hotel did nothing and after a month finally they have resolved our complaint. We have to wait for another month for the refund though, we do hope we don't have to chase for the refund after a month.
Positive thing is Agoda always replied to our email within 24 hours so that was really a good thing. They didn't made a big fuss about compensating us despite the hotel was not co-operating with them and was not replying to their email.
Adlers hotel Innsbruck doesn't have any double rooms, all the rooms have zip and link beds. They just join two single bed together without any mattress topper so the beds are very comfortable. Selling Double bedroom when physical it doesn't exist is misleading customers. We think Agoda should take this feedback on board and stop advertising double beds on their website for this hotel.
I made a reservation and at the end of the booking, unfortunately I had a medical emergency. I called to tell them I won't be able to make it. Both Agoda and the hotel agree and inform me that they would do a refund. To my surprise my credit card was still charged in full. I called repeatedly and I'm not getting anywhere. I don't know how far this will lead. However, I need my refund. They need to be checked out throughly because this must be a joke.
Booked a hotel based on 2 adults and 2 children as a search query. On arrival we had 1 double bed. I guess kids were supposed to sleep with us or on the floor. I became evident that Hotel had contacted Agoda, but Agoda confirmed it was fine. Booking clearly stated number of persons. Had to pay for the additional bed and wrote a complaint to Agoda. Besides initial confirmation, never received a reply. AVOID AGODA. Book directly with Booking, Tripadvisor or even better, with the the Hotel directly.
Whatever you do, dont use this company, we booked and paid for our hotel stay, the hotel turned us away as they said they dont use Agoda anymore, now wont give me a refund.
They have ripped us off, I have since read about other similar situations.
Of all the hotel booking sites out there, I keep coming back to Agoda due to its simplicity, easy searches and use of public reviews. The payment section is very quick too. I like that one is not bombarded by adverts or pop-ups, unlike some booking sites.
I like using Agoda because it is very easy to use and you can pay upfront for the accommodation whereas a lot of other sites won't allow that so when you are booking for business travel, like I do, it's is great to be able to pre-pay.
Agoda company erroneously displayed an incorrect photo of the property, resulting in a cancellation. However, Agoda has declined to issue a refund, falsely attributing the issue to the property's denial of a refund request, when it is evidently Agoda's mistake. Following a direct complaint to the (Hotel Company), Agoda promptly updated the photo on their website.
Nevertheless, Agoda is now attempting to rectify the situation by offering a nominal compensation that amounts to less than one-third of the total financial loss incurred during this entire process.
NOTE: This review is being written after a protracted and frustrating several weeks ordeal in seeking resolution for this issue. This experience has been exceedingly disappointing and has showcased a marked lack of professionalism on the part of Agoda.
Even if you get Confirmation Email for your Booking, there is no guarantee that you will get a room. And if you complain with the customer service they will give you a $#*!ty alternative or give you 10% discount to compensate their mistakes. My holiday got totally screwed. I spent over 1, 50, 000 for Rooms, Flights and travel and had a horrific experience.
Its easy to use site for searching a lot of available hotels. The categories they have are good to sort the hotels you are looking for. One thing I didn't see or maybe not yet exists is the option for the range of prices based on your budget. Also, it has no page numbers you want to go to and only NEXT button is available, just a slight inconvenient.
Overall I recommend this site because they have the better deals and complete details of hotels.
This is a horrible company. They took my money and then cancelled my reservation without asking my permission. Horrible customer service as no one was able to answer my emails or even contact me to resolve this problem. They said on the cancellation email that I should wait up to 10 days to receive my refund.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
