I've been using Agoda for years and it's one of the greatest websites for booking hotels all around the world. They always have the cheapest rates available in comparison to other sites I've used before.
Booked one month before but hotel don't got the booking at arrival and was fully booked. Customer care/support is for nothing and don't helps customers. Promised to help us but at the end they let us alone. Need to book last minute a hotel with worse rate but double price. Keep fingers away from that asian booking portal!
I have been using AGODA for years now and they are still by far the cheapest and most reliable booking service. There are not hidden surprises and the reward points system is fantastic. Highly recommended!
Boy, have I gotten nice rooms in excellent hotels time and time again. And it has been through Agoda. I let the many reviews and their ratings guide me, and I let Agoda get the right price.It all works like a charm via the well designed and maintained website. This is a good business that makes its money by providing Damon good service.
I've used Agoda while touring Vietnam in Nov 2015. Several bookings were made along our route while in the country. All turned out well with no surprises. Now, I've just used it to book rooms in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The hotel location is known to us already so that will be fine. The hotel is new to us but with Agoda reviewers and online photos, we feel confident that our choice will match our expectations.
We were charged double, but Agoda are refusing to pay us back even though we provided them with all the documentation they have asked for. They wrongfully tried to blame my credit card company. They are liars and cheaters.
We recently booked online thinking that we were booking with the hotel directly. Online, we see there is a pool. Rooms looked spacious and nice. We were suppose to have a Queen size bed. Well, we checked in. There was an issue. They said we had been booked for something else. There was no pool so my daughter was disappointed. Get to the room and it was teeny tiny. Had an claustrophobic attack. They should be very forthcoming. When rooms are this small, they should note it down. I was extremely disappointed with agoda. Not impressed.
They cancelled my booking without to inform me. I had to find another hotel in July and spend much more money. I don't trust them. I ll delete app and all my bookings if I wanna travel safe and stay somewhere.
My daughter and I spent 10 days here last November. Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms clean and breakfast good. You can't beat it for the price and location.
We are coming again and look forward to it.
Did not use this company until on holiday in New Zealand. Booking hotel rooms as we toured around I found their room rates very competitive and their website quick and easy to use. I would certainly use them again.
On 2 March I made a booking through Agoda for one night in a SHA+ hotel in Thailand under the "Test & Go" programme. Somehow, and I did not notice, the system defaulted to 14 nights. The last page before confirmation showed a price that seemed high but ok for the one nigh under the programme. The next page showed I have booked for 14 nights and I could not correct, The booking was made. I called the hotel and Agoda, both were very helpful and cancelled the booking. Agoda promised a full refund and this was shown in my account. Now 47 days, and several promises from Agoda, later no refund. They have stopped answering my queries on this one. I am over $2,000 (Aussie) down on this very bad experience. Does anyone know how to get Agoda to keep its promises made in emails?

I booked with Priceline, without informing me they switched the booking to Agoda. Then the nightmare began. Priceline advertised free breakfast and wifi. When I received the confirmation no breakfast was included. I notified Agoda and submitted screenshots to prove my case and they still refused to accept it as evidence of the truth and refused to include breakfast. Impossible to reach a live person at Priceline.
With the points given, we can get some discount from the rate shown.The rate they offered is reasonable and sometime cheaper than the walk in price. Highly recommended. The customer service is really the best one. I tried to make a delay for the date of checking-in and expected they won't approve my delay because it's quite near the date I was going to check in, but what they did for me was such a surprise and warmth. They approved my delay and even rebate some amount of $ to me as the rate that i delayed checking-in was cheaper. Really an warmth and good experience to stay with them. Definately will use AGODA forever!
They have the worst customer service in the world! If you need anything regarding your booking, you cannot get any help from their customer service. They will just tell you to wait 24 to 48hrs but you won't actually get any help or service even after many days of calls and emails following up. You are just going to waste your time. Saving a little money is not worth it. Just book directly to the hotel.
Horrible customer service. Refused to give money back for a hotel reservation cancelled because of East Coast snow storm. Flight was cancelled, sent them proof as they asked, and NOPE, no help, no refund, stating that everything I sent as proof could be edited by anyone. I forwarded them United Airlines emails as proof and a PDF United sent, they would not accept it. I book all the travel in the office and I will never use them again. Stay away from this company!
Agoda makes booking easy. They consistently offer the best price. I have never had a problem with a booking I have made with Agoda. The option of book now pay later is available. The site navigation is intuitive. Filtering by name, chain, price, district plus many more is available. I spent ten minutes on a rival site trying to find a particular hotel and gave up. On Agoda I could type the name or part of the name into the search box with instant success. Sorry Agoda, I will not stray again.
The "non refundable" text is so small and written in parentheses especially on mobile.
Everything else is big, bolded or colored, looks very promotional but the "non refundable" text is in smallest text, and shows only once when you start booking. I think such a critical information should be highly visible and should be confirmed with the user again before they make a final decision!
They refunded part of a cancellation but the Agoda dollars are not taken at many of the hotels in their site. The website and payment system is clunky. Why would you ever use this site? Go to Expedia or Hotels.com or just call a hotel direct and use your AAA discount. This was a mistake.
I have been overcharged on my credit card. Been trying to call customer care since last 2 days. Your call will be kept on hold for more than an hour with nobody to reply. Tried even calling after midnight, but same thing. Nobody answers your call.
I've used Agoda several times to book hotels throughout Indonesia and have always been completely satisfied. The site has a wide range of hotels with complete information about each hotel, including links to hotel websites if available. The search features make it very easy to find the type of hotel I want within my price range and in the right part of town. Compared with the price my friends get when booking on other sites, the price I get on Agoda is always lower. Finally, the online receipt and booking management tools have been very useful to me, especially since I often have to submit receipts to my company for reimbursement. In short, if you are traveling in Asia, I highly recommend Agoda.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
