@agoda are NOT honest. I made a booking and within an hour realised they charged my credit card and applied no refund/cancellation despite selecting the full fee for a room with cancellation/refund/deferred payments options chosen. I want what I chose for. Agoda Booking ID *******
Used Agoda for the first time as clicked an advert.
Booked the room and paid.
No booking confirmation.
Spent hours trying to get through to customer services.
Hotel is fully booked so will cancel booking and issue a refund.
This is Fraud!
If you need a real hotel room like we did then use anywhere else but Agoda.
Photos not representative of actual condition if hotels in site. New rewards program is fraudulent especially since after booking they tell you you did not qualify for rewards booking.
Best to use direct hotel sites and they are usually less expensive than this fraudulent website.

I'm surprised to read all the negative reviews below about this site. I would have never used them if I read that all first. I booked about 8 hotels through this website for Japan and experienced no problems at all. The website can offer some pretty substantial discounts on room rates, you only need to compare Agoda's prices to the rates listed on the hotels own website. It's convenient way to find and compare hotels too. Theres no nasty additional charges like you get with webjet.com. We saved a lot of money with this website, but we didn't need to cancel or change anything either.
Have used agoda many times for hotel bookings and so far, compared to many other online booking sites, they have been my favorite site because they are convenient, communicate all requests to hotels we book and give excellent deals. Definitely recommended!
I did cross check on my hotel rates. I try to book it from hotel's web page and also friend of mine who is a thai citizen negotiated the hotel rate but agoda.com rate was still lower than anybody for the same hotel, same room, same amount of nights. Keep up the good job Agoda
Someone used my credit card to book a hotel using this website. The total cost was Php 11,000.00. When I tried to call the company to raise this concern, I can't get past through their customer service hotline as they'd need a booking number!
I don't have one!
Please make sure to verify if the credit card your customers are using really belongs to that person!
AGODA is the most untrustworthy company I have Ever dealt with. I booked a three night stay then decided that I wanted to stay a fourth night.The hotel said Agoda could not extend the stay so I paid for the 4th night myself; however Agoda still charged me also.They promised for a whole month of correspondence that I would receive on my initial charge card after insisting I give them bank information. They finally agreed to returning 2 refunds to my credit card but then did a reversal after a month of emails and phone calls. They did not refund my money.They are thieves
Agoda will show low flight prices but when you click on it and open it, they will suddenly increase the pricing.
The hotel booking is many times not done even after payment and their refund never comes

I made mistake on my first booking and called customer service to move my booking 1 week earlier. I was called back by Agoda's officer in few hours time and confirmed my required changes. They gave me confirmation of change within 10 hours and additional top up fee for price difference. Very efficient and grateful using Agoda for my hotel booking on my honeymoon! Will definitely make all my future booking with you!
I book in various countries using Agoda and each time I check in there is never a glitch and on the odd occasion a free upgrade. With the warm welcome this tells me Agoda has the respect of the Hotel industry from the larger chains down to the boutique hotels.
The choice is endless, you can plan and book so easy I don't consider any other option for my hotels, business or pleasure.
I booked a hotel in dubai and they listed the price double everywhere else which I only discovered once I checked in to the hotel. Upon arriving the hotel staff too were surprised by the price I was charged and I can't even get a refund from agoda. According to their website, the "best price guarantee" they offer can only be claimed before checking in. Problem is I only found out about it after checking in so, try other websites, this one's a rip off in my experience. Plus it was too much hassle just confirming the booking; had to call them twice to get the confirmation. And they don't respond to any emails sadly!
While pricing is competitive, the ability to contact them during a dispute or emergency is more important. Tell me the contact phone number? Go ahead, I'll wait...
Good luck if you have a question or emergency. If your booking number is used, the site will not recognize it and thus, you have no contact options. Horrible.

I tried to book a room in San Diego and they booked it on the wrong date. When I tried to contact them, two minutes later, there's no phone number that works and there was no person available to talk to. When you go on their sites, everything is nonrefundable once booked. I will never use this site again as they ripped me off for over $300 dollars for a booking I will not use.
Tried to make reservation. Put I all Dara and hit enter. The internet on my computer then closed. Not their fault. However, never got an email confirmation. So I email. Their customer service responds. Asks for my phone number, and tells me they have 24 hour customer service line. Sent phone number and tried calling. Get answering machine. Need either booking number or extension of who I want to talk with. Have neither, and 0 doesn't work. They email... said tried calling but can't reach. Then another email... same name... send us your country code. Each email tells me about their 24 hour customer service line... so three times I ask for extension to dial when I call. Nothing. I will not be using this site, and have alerted my credit card company so as not to be charged.
They rely on partners like Expedia to make your booking which means that there is no customer support since they keep blaming their partner for not responding to them on time to fix your booking.their webpage resit the booking date after you selected it and while you are browsing the hotels.they wasted my money because of their technical issue and poor customer support
I booked two rooms in Japan for June. Turns out they were non-refundable, though it didn't say so on the payment page. I called the next day to try to reserve it and was told if there's a problem entering the country, it'll be no problem getting a refund. Well, that was a big lie. In addition to not getting a refund, they cancelled the reservation so I can't try to sell the rooms to someone else.
I booked a 4 days stay at the Rosen shingles in Orlando. Agoda lied about the rooms the website gives you a pictures of a suite instead of a standard room that was smelly and disgusting. And they also lie about the hidden fees. From a ridiculous parking of $35 a night to Wi-Fi daily charge to a gym daily charge. Rosen shingles and Agoda are a blood sucking vampires. Stay away.
Agoda could make room bookings more pleasant by putting a description of all the bedroom photos shown. Sometimes, the standard room and deluxe look the same from the photos posted. In this way, we know exactly what we are getting. Also, very important is description of facility; I had an experience where the all hotel rooms do not have a small refrigerator; I would expect all 3-star hotels and above should have a small refrigerator. If there's no refrigerator in the room, it MUST be highlighted on the facility listing.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
