3 Stars because there doesn't seem to be fundementally wrong with the site, just that I got no result out of it. I'd give it another shot if I was in a position to use it again.

For better success include photos, even of yourself. Success probably really depends on market conditions (ie how many people are looking for housemates compared to rooms available).

Easy, painless. Shipped overseas to down under. Everything as ordered. Arrived in expected time frame. Was able to track the parcel. No hassles. They were very good, would use again.

Another website member tried to scam me on this website. Was exchanging emails with this beautiful girl, the too good to be true type and a week later gave me this sad story about how she got robbed and needed money for something or other. I stopped writing and so did they, obviously there are easier targets than me to get money off. She had a Russian name and very ordinary english so 'she' was suspicious from the beginning. I bet it was some guy...

They delivered wine to me within a few days of ordering so they are quick and honoured a deal on a free case of beer. They are pleasant to speak with over the phone. They can't afford to be bad, there is so much competition in this market.

Ordered 2 TVs from this site, 1 last year and the other a few years ago. Quick dispatch (and delivered inside a week) and had no problems with the products. Customer service were quick to respond when I had difficulty downloading the manual. No fuss.

Booked 4 hotels in Japan through this website. They all worked out fine so have nothing to complain about. The benefit of this website is you only put down a deposit for the rooms via the website then pay the remainder when you arrive at the hotel, rather than all up front.

I'm surprised to read all the negative reviews below about this site. I would have never used them if I read that all first. I booked about 8 hotels through this website for Japan and experienced no problems at all. The website can offer some pretty substantial discounts on room rates, you only need to compare Agoda's prices to the rates listed on the hotels own website. It's convenient way to find and compare hotels too. Theres no nasty additional charges like you get with webjet.com. We saved a lot of money with this website, but we didn't need to cancel or change anything either.

Ordered through website 5 times over 2 or so years with no problems. Great local alternative to Amazon.
