They claim to offer best prices but charge existing site members more. Loyalty to the website results in paying higher prices. I would recommend to use one time only. Don't believe their best price promise and check other websites for better prices
Have been struggling to find hotels in Paris - there are thousands but many seem, ordinary. The search process has been slow and frustrating, but got onto old mate Agoda's site, and through the clear map found what we want, where we want it, and grabbed it at sensational price. Happy little travelers Agoda!
I started using Agoda from 2013 and extremely happy about their service. Not a single time our check in was denied. Hotel choices are plenty. They accept paypal service, which is very helpful in paying in a single click. Till now I stayed 4 nights free using their reward points. It is good and very transparent. I recommend this website strongly to any one who is looking for cheap, fast and hassle free hotel booking.
Be careful, don't use their services. I booked a hotel room through their website, and everything went well. They took the money out of my credit card. Within few minutes I received an email from Agoda saying that my reservation was cancelled due to "an unexpected system error". I replied to the email requesting refund of my money. I received a very polite response that my money will be returned within 30 working days. And of course, day after day, week after week, I kept checking and nothing was received. I wrote another email, same response, after the relapse of 30 days they told me they request confirmation from their bank and when they receive a response they will let me know and it will take 5 business days. And then I knew I just lost my money and they are not going to return the money. They use these tactics and tricks to gain time so you can forget about your money so they scam the client... please be aware and don't use their services...
They provide you with cheap hotels that's a good of marketing and it's one way to attract many people we all agree but as soon as you make your reservation they cancel it and tell you that the prices were increased + your money will be refunded with 14 days! Are you kidding me whey the he ll im gonna wait for 14 days and it's not my mistake the money is needed to make other reservations!
I needed to cancel my booking due to ending up in hospital. They denied refunding me in full even with a compassionate request and medical letter. I asked to speak with management high up- never get a response or any assistance. No one helps to resolve issue. If I died I do not think they'd refund either- its disgusting
As a relative of a property owner, I can tell you that Agoda.com shows inflated prices for the properties to make it look like you are getting a deal. For example, a room might be listed at $140 US but agoda has a 'special price' of only $70 US because they 'find the good deals'. It is not true at all; that $70 room is the usual price. Further, the descriptions are false and made up by Agoda representatives. Isn't this kind of behaviour - false advertising - illegal and at the very least unprofessional?
If you need a nice clean room with no frills just for an appointment or a meeting This is your place. 5 minutes from Terminal 3. Hotel pickup and return to the Airport. This is just a nice hotel but far from fancy. This is just a good sense and economical choice. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and assist you in any way possible.
First user got 10% promo discount, but when make the booking, it got cancelled by vendor and Agoda said because the booking has been made, promo code will not back even it's vendor cancel the booking. And ask me to check agoda's Terms to have a better understand. Really bad experience by attract customer with word game.
I suppose I am not the only one who face this issue, as booking being cancelled by vendors happens from time to time, actually other platform will give back the promo code because first user never make the booking successfully and the cancellation is not customer's fault.
Agoda customer support just Responding with official correspondence by copy and paste those few sentence again and again, they doesn't really care you or help you. Terrible!
I reached out to the CEO of Agoda in Linkedin by posting a reply to one of his posts as I am not getting any help from their customer service after they made a mistake with my booking. My message was decent and professional. He viewed my profile, deleted my reply and did nothing. I called him out and he blocked me. I paid in full 3 months ago for a booking in a resort in Seychelles to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We called the hotel and Agoda booked the wrong room, they booked a room which is half the size and cheaper than what we paid for and confirmed by them. They won't fix the mistake and instead offered a $450 compensation. So I reached out to him. Now I know why their service culture is terrible as it stems from his behavior. It could have been an excellent opportunity for him to show his team proper service recovery. Instead, he showed his lack of respect for customers.
Terrible customer service, more over you feel like you are saving money but the chances of you missing a flight or your booking getting cancelled are far too high.
I booked a flight with them and ended up missing the flight, because they put in dummy details in the system hence the airline had no way of contacting me, agoda did not contact me as well. Hence I did not know about the flight change.
Now the customer care says I need to wait 3 months for a reply.
I booked a vacation through Agoda in October- paid in full- arrived at the hotel after 7 hr drive to find out the hotel had no record of my booking. After over an hour on the phone with customer service they were still unable to contact the hotel and I had to give them the hotel's phone number from Google. Finally agreed to cancel and refund my stay but by that time all of the restaurants were closed. Never ever again!
I supposed to go on trip & all my hotel bookings booked with Agoda when all of a sudden my Doctor called me due to my report stated I got breast cancer & need to go on urgent operation. I called Agoda to cancel my bookings although it was written there is no reimbursement for not showing up due to hotel policy. To my suprised, Agoda Management willing to absorb and return me the payment in showing their goodwill and help me eased my burden in a difficult situation. Isn't that amazing for an online business that fill with good heart people who works in? Thank you very much, Agoda. The refund is not a big amount but your goodwill gesture really touched my heart..
I have had very good experience with agoda website booking my hotels every time I travel. There were times I had to make some changes to my booking but had difficulty doing on the website so I called the customer service no.(Singapore) late at night and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction. My call was attended to very quickly and I was not kept on hold at any given time or told by a voice recording to press random nos. For specific services which can be confusing and frustrating at times. Its a seamless friendly to use process from booking to payment and it is the best guaranteed price offered indeed.
I was a bit worried about booking with Agoda after reading the negative reviews on here but decided to try them to book the hotels for my recent holiday. The price they offered compared to other websites was so much cheaper. Everything went smoothly from booking to receiving my confirmation. Money was taken out of my account on the day they specified. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. I printed out my confirmation and presented this on arrival at the hotels with no problems. I would definitely use Agoda again. Easy to use and hard to beat prices.
I booked a Hotel named The Gem Park Ooty via Agoda for 1 night stay with family. Agoda was showing the least offer price so I continued to book with that Application. While choosing the hotel it was showing lower amount as 4306 rs per day with complimentary breakfast for maximum 2 adults. So I chose a Standard room and continued booking, on the summary page value changed to 1 adult max allowed which is a complete cheat for making payment. After booking when I checked the details and enquired with hotel, they were not ready to take responsibility and Agoda which has a worst customer service also blindly said you need to pay another 2200 rs for another person to stay apart from that they cannot do anything. This is a worst cheating policy I have ever seen and I want to bring this to public notice to be aware of the fraud company Agoda. Don't ever book in this app which is just an eyewash.
I've used web sites to book my travels for more than 20 years. This is the first time I've been treated like a criminal. They asked me to scan my personal ID after I gave them a credit card. I've had no problem booking travels on all major websites using this credit card like orbitz, expedia, booking.com.
I will run away as fast as I could from this website.
I stayed at this lovely hotel for only 2 nights but I'm returning next year! The staff were very helpful & friendly along with terrific location near cafe 43! Also good massage nearby & very close to the all the shops & market. The room was fine with great cable tv, a good fridge, kettle & wifi. I even had a nice balcony & air con. All the essentials!
Everything is very smooth, and allows you to compare different hotels, narrowing the selections down until you have exactly what you want. Also, Agoda often has a better selection of hotels in Asian cities than many of the other major sites.
The only downside that I have experienced is that the prices quoted on the main hotels' pages are pre-tax and service charge, so you need to click through to find out what you will "really" be paying.
Have used this site for over 100 bookings and never had a problem. Any changes of plan have been dealt with instantly by email and/or phone at any time of the day or night. Never had any issues at check in. The option to pay in advance is always my choice. This is not available on many other hotel web sites

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
