Not knowing any good, fair priced hotel, I booked a three night stay in Chennai, India last year using Agoda's web site. I was happy with the booking so much so that I used Agoda's services again to book a hotel in Reading UK. I plan to be there in June 2015. I am sure it will be what the page says.
Based on the speed of service and apt details I booked my hotel via Agoda in Chennai again for July this year.
Agoda's web site for hotel booking is second to none.
I 'll use them again.

I've used Agoda for about 10 years now. They offer great deals all around Asia. The online reservation process is very easy and very rapid. I've never had an issue with any of my reservations over the years. I have recommended it to countless friends and even to travel agents for them to use!

I booked a hotel with them for 4 nights and the payment went through and got the confirmation email for that reservation after 24 hours they cancelled my reservation for no reason I've tried to book it again they raised the price 200$ more what a Joke. Pay a little more and use trip.com or priceline.com or any other third party site.
I booked a 2 night trip for our wedding anniversary. I am disabled. My husband became very ill, we were unable to travel, and no allowances were made for us. Agoda did not request any documentation in regard to our circumstances, and did not care in the least about our particular situation.
Online booking is easy and user friendly. My husband and I have stayed in this hotel for 2 months a year ago. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen. It seems that the rooms have been refurbished and the restaurant is re-opened. I would recommend it to anyone particularly for those who have children or need a long stay. We look forward to an even more pleasant stay.
I have found that the website is very easy to use, it's customer-friendly. Book hotels take such a short time especially when I log in to my account and all my details are filled in immediately.

The Agoda website advertise "pay at the hotel", we choose the higher rate for pay at hotel. Then found out we've charged 4 months before we arrived the hotel. When I question who authorise the charge on my credit card, they reply there was an error, but nothing they can do about it... Can you trust to leave your credit card details with such a website?!?! This put a very stressful financial situation on us before we are heading to the holiday. If the start can go negative, I would put -5 for this website.
I booked a King Bed room through their site. When I got to the property, they said the room was a far cheaper room that was booked through Expedia and had two single beds and no bathroom. Difference in price between the rooms was about $75 per night. Customer service at Agoda admitted it was their error but would only agree to egging about $30 per night. Do not use this site. They are an intermediary and will use other lodging booking sites to book your room.
So far, I have booked 10 hotel rooms via the website. Never had any problems. Guide for hotel, read carefully from the reviews. Many users are being helpful by saying the pros and cons of the hotels. Use the map to find nearer cheaper hotels for choices. This website has been a total help for me and my family. :)
Agoda was recommended to me by a friend many years ago. I was and continued to be impressed by the ease of use for their site along with the great choice of top hotels always at a very competitive rate. I've yet to find one more reasonably priced else where.
Thanks Agoda for making life easier when it comes to scouting for the best rate and booking fast and secure. I have had to do some amendments such as moving my dates or just totally changing a booking due date and your customer service hotline people have been very helpful in providing solutions. This booking website is the worst company I have dealt with.
If you don't want to go pay for a hotel without staying t use them, otherwise, stay away.

Agoda make booking your hotel accommodation a breeze. No matter where you want to go, they have every accommodation option covered and at extremely competitive prices. Their hotel reviews are from real guests and are both informative and generally very accurate. Their online hotel information is always up to date and comes with easy access to locality maps to help you find nearby local attractions and transportation options.
Do not use them, if you ever get anyone on customer service they will speak very little English but there name will be Chuck or Brittany. Checked into a nasty hotel through them and when I finally got through to customer service it was a terrible experience, they had booked my hotel through another party so the chances of getting my money back is probably slim to none. I will never use them again and the old saying, you get what you pay for is true with them! Only my opinion and I stick by it.
Agoda has a very wide selection of partner hotels in practically all significant travel locations and even some remote ones.
The booking engine is convenient to use. I especially like the helicopter survey of other available hotels and rates in any vicinity.
Great choice of hotels. Easy to use search. Reward points are useful if you are a frequent hotel user. Only one minor gripe: search filter should be updated to include tick box for room with terrace/balcony so that search can be limited to only those hotels offering rooms with terrace/balcony. This would save me and no doubt others a lot of time. Please note Agoda!
Booking through Agoda is much better than calling the hotel itself. Firstly, you might not get your cal answered. Secondly you are able to compare rates of other hotels within its area. Thirdly, you get a lot more information than just calling.
They take the money and yet in case of dispute tell you that it's the hotel that needs to agree to refund! How tough is it to accept that you are cheating your consumers. What's a process or a policy if it doesn't have the customers interest at hand?
Booking my hotel through Agoda has always been easy and hassle fee, may it be for my domestic or international trips. All I have to do is present my mobile voucher and I get my room key in less than 10 minutes.
It would be extremely difficult to find a hotel in advance without help. I just hope that we get what we paid for cos our choice relied on the photos posted in this website. Anyway, Thank you to everyone behind this website.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
