Terrible third party booking agency, very tricky, we will never use them again. Their listing price is low, but there are hidden fees you don't realize until you are booked. Customer service is a joke, if you try to cancel your booking, they will play run-around with you and you will NOT be able to get any refund. We learned our lesson, it is much cheaper to book directly with hotel than going through Agoda, plus saving lots of aggravation!

Cancelled the booking within the free cancellation time, they charged me and informed me that the reservation was cancelled without any charges.

I booked 1 room for 2 night at The Base Central Pattaya Thailand from 09 September to 11 I received my booking confirmation email
Paid to Agoda but when arriving at the property no 1 know about my booking and not keys available no phone was available to contact the property only the email address

We 3 persons from Bengaluru booked 2 rooms for me and my wife and my friend at hotel ranjitha palace,raichur on sept 7th 2023,these rooms were confirmed and amount duly debited from our credit card.After driving around for 500 kms and reaching late by 11.30 p.m at the hotel we were told by hotel reception that there are no reservations in our name.called agoda customer care,the call went to Malaysia and customer care were totally clueless to solve the problem,we were left to fend the problem ourselves with no rooms available in any other hotel of in such asmall town.God forbid anyone undergoing same stress with family and children and after all that Agoda has audacity to say refund will happen after one month.m.s.balaji, Bengaluru
On June 22,2023, I saw the Hong Kong millennium new world hotel is HKD840/night on Agoda's website,so I booked the June 23,1 night.When the next day before noon to check in, I opened the mailbox to find Agoda confirmed letter display is USD840 / night, I was very surprised and shockd,I am immediately refused to check in, complaint to the hotel Front Office Manager, he suggested me to communicate with Agoda, Agoda customer service did not immediately give me any solutions, they said that they need to communicate with the hotel and suppliers, the fastest need 24-48 hours to give my response and solution.The hotel front office manager told me if I checked it in that day,this room is HK$3999,but I declined,because it's not my booking price,I feel cheated,so we left the hoter about 3 PM,There was no check-in and signature any paper. After then my credited card has been charged $840 instead HK$840.I feel so sad and I was cheated. Agoda refused to return the $840 to me until now.
I booked from agoda and after 10 min it shows less on agoda itself i send them ss they denied claim hotel was non cancelable so they did this i paid *******inr and it was showing after 10 min *******inr like 6000inr diffrence

They even lied stating the property hadn't replied to them and had also refused a refund. Both were proven to be untrue by the property themselves.
They are not in the Uk and seem to be in China.
No way on earth I would use them again and would urge anyone else to go elsewhere.
I used the Price Freeze feature. I paid a deposit for a room that I would have to finish paying for in 13 days. The benefit is, if the price falls, I get the lower price. If the room price goes up, I pay the frozen price. Two things: Agoda doesn't guarantee the room will be available during the frozen period (I read that today, too late), and Agoda lies! Agoda says there are no more rooms at the hotel I booked. Yes there are, but they now cost $190 more for the three nights I thought I booked. Agoda sucks. So much for a price freeze and so much for integrity.
HORRIBLE experience with this website. Flight was canceled, so was unable to use my hotel. Refused to refund me or change the dates. Flight was canceled out of my control and they refuse to help me! I am now out over $400. I am SO mad! I hate their website and customer service is super unhelpful. Will only book hotels through official hotel websites from now on.
Agoda found an excuse because they couldn't withdraw money from my credit card, the bank confirmed that the card is fine

I booked a hotel stay. Stated it was fully refundable and no cancelation fee up to 24 hours before stay. I canceled 2 weeks before stay and they have not honored the cancelation nor refunded me despite numerous communication. I would never use this site again and with should you!
I have had my worst experience with this company, No should ever book through agoda, I had booked a hotel, I mentioned 3 guests confirmation received of only 1 and further there is no body to revert on query's and no solution provided, no revert on mails, customer care number is not available, and a few fraud numbers are connected, looks AGODA is a SCAM. Booked a hotel for my honeymoon in the Philippines and agoda canceled my hotel and then said I did it, won't refund me or just give me my original room that I booked, they accused the hotel and me for canceling it, my bank contacted agoda on a 3 way call and agoda never sent the hotel any money, so agoda is keeping all of the money, great honeymoon gift getting ripped of by Indians in a telemarketer room, zero stars

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
