I placed an order on August 1st and it has yet to ship. Online it still shows awaiting fulfillment. Customer service is useless and uninformed. I will never purchase from Aeropostale again, no matter the sale.

I placed 2 orders on the same day, and I had recieved a 150 dollar gift card for my birthday and decided to put it towards gifts for christmas and something nice for me. I made sure to do my math when I placed the 2 seperate orders making sure it didn't pass the 150 dollar mark. My order total was about 147 dollars, I did the math multiple times. Two weeks pass and I only get the small order, the one I placed LAST. I wait another week for my big order, nothing. I contact customer service and they tell me the amount on my card was 133.93, that was my big order cost with shipping and tax, which would cover it and I would have nothing. The lady who had helped me didn't seem to be fluent in English, like it was her second language her grammar was a bit off, her service confused me and made me feel stupid about my order because I had done the math and this shouldn't be a problem, the only reason I didn't rate it one star is because I got my second package. NEVER buy from online, buy in store because I had to cancel my order for the stupidest reason since "my card has insufficient funds" I had never used it before because I had gotten it either that day or the day before and I wanted to put it to good use for this christmas since I plan to start working in the near future so I won't have to deal with bullcrap from them and my "insufficient funds"

This company took my money out of my bank account did not process my order claims that they had trouble with my bank which they did not because I called my bank. I asked for tracking information for days and days and they keep on saying the same thing. I will never order another thing from this company
I placed an order with Aeropostale online. I never receved a confirmation email that my order had been placed. I waited to see if my order would arrive after a week and a half. No order. I placed another order and received confirmation of the order then mysteriously I received another confirmation email about my first order. I immediately emailed Aeropostale and asked them to stop payment on the first order. NO ONE conctacted me back. Days later money was taken out of my account for both orders. When I contacted someone in customer service about refunding my money i was told that they never received an email from me and that I would have to wait to see about getting a refund. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I've never experienced worse service in my life, they took my money, then said my order did not exist when I tried to locate it, then never returned any costumer service emails and are the biggest pricks I've ever met. I will never try to give them any of my money ever again in my life. I should've known from the start because their clothes are absolute GARBAGE to begin with. Not worth the time or effort, just go to American Eagle or literally ANYWHERE ELSE. I cannot stress this enough, horrible horrible horrible store, should shut down for good.
Ordered 2 items. They were okay with tracking and updating my order (because of them pandemic, I was expecting them to be delayed and take longer to arrive). My problem is when they did arrive. I ordered 2 button-up shirts. They looked like a different fit from how they looked on the website so I was skeptical if they would fit me right. I opened 1 plastic bag and tried on a shirt - sure enough, it just didn't fit me right. Okay, no worries. But this is where my complaint comes: the package the shirts arrived in had no packing slip or return label. Before I ordered, I checked the Aeropastale website to make sure they were even taking returns. They are. I double checked the website today - they still are taking returns. So I checked their website on how to make a return. Low and behold they say just to attach the return label and ship it. Annoyed, I tried to log on to theie online chat to talk to one of their online agents about possibly getting a return label emailed. The website says agents are available 9am to 11pm EST. Here it is, 5:32pm on a Thursday, on EST and twice now the online chat "has no agents available" because, so it claims, I am out of their business window. Okaaaayy. Frustrated, I look up how to return the items with no return label and it says I can at my own expense. So, it's going to cost me the same amount that I bought the shirts, to ship them back to you - on my dime? That's not good business. No thanks, I think I'll take my business elsewhere. Fooled me once, Aeropastale - you're not fooling me twice.
I went in to the location at Woodland Hills mall to buy some tshirts and asked about the return policy since we can't try them on right now. Alana, not sure on spelling, told me that returning items takes away from everyone else because they can't go back out for sale for 3 weeks. I said it's not my fault I can't try them on before leaving the store and I didn't appreciate her telling me that I was being inconsiderate if I returned anything and she told me I'm just letting you know that if you return anything you're taking away from other customers. Then the whole time I was shopping her and the other employee were just whispering and laughing and staring. They were extremely rude and showed no interest in helping their customers
Ridiculous and rude customer service. I made an order and on the same day, I wanted to cancel it. As there is no "cancel order button" like the website says there supposedly is, I had to call customer service to cancel my order.
Turns out, Aeropostale does not handle cancellations the same way that every other efficient company does. Their representative has to send a "request to cancel". You can't simply cancel an order, no, their representative has to "request" it. If you order online, even if it's on the same day, there's no guarantee that the order can be canceled. It takes 1-2 business days for the cancel request to be accepted or declined by their company, for whatever reason they choose.
Ridiculous thing is, the two representatives I talked to were hesitant about even sending their stupid "cancel request". Instead, I got "You can return the items after you get them" and "You can exchange the items later". Why would I do that? If the order hasn't been processed or shipped yet, it makes the most sense to cancel. The company would rather waste resources shipping the items than cancel the order. Aeropostale would rather you "return the items later", instead of cancelling the order before it ships. Their representatives make no sense. I won't be ordering online from this store again.
When I was visited the Houma, La store I was greeted by Shelley & Alajah. They provided me with excellent customer service. I purchased a jacket but they helped me by showing me additional items that I could purchase! They were very professional and helpful & I will be returning soon!
I placed an online order through Aeropostale.com on 10/25. On that same date, one hour later, I received an email from Aeropostale stating that my item was still in my cart, and that the order was not complete. At that time I logged back into the website, and re-placed the order. I then received 2 emails confirming 2 different orders. I immediately logged onto their customer service chat and requested that the duplicate order be cancelled. I was given a Request ID# of ******* to cancel my order. On 10/27,2 days later, I was sent an email stating that the order had already been placed for shipping, and could not be cancelled. I found this curious because I cancelled the order within 5 minutes of placing the duplicate order, and this email was being sent 2 days later. The company informed me that I would be sent a pre-paid label for a return, but that I would not be reimbursed for the shipping fees. I was never sent the pre-paid label, and I do not feel that I should have to pay the shipping fees when I was tricked into making a duplicate order. I feel that they were being deceptive by waiting 2 days to respond to my cancellation request, and then did not send out the label so that I could return the item.
Do not use a pay pal account to purchase any items on Aeropostale's. Once I paid with Pay pal, even though it was linked directly to by bank account, my money was lost. I took the items directly to the store and they couldn't give me my money back, just because I had used Pay pal. Needless to say, I was very disappointed, I had lost 90 dollars which I would have to invest again in Aeropostale's merchandise no matter what. First time I have had this experience. Never again will I use Pay pal and I'm seriously considering never again shopping at Aeropostale.
I went to Aeropostale and I found something very kewt and instantly fell in love. Not to mention they played my favorite song! Could this store get any better? The answer is no because my experience was so great that I will always go back there because they play the best music and have very stylish clothing. I would definitely recommend to anyone in my family including my dog. She like to be fashionable.
I had a horrible experience with their shipping, this is the second time it has occurred ans I had to I call to get clarification. I was giving excuses("facts") that were not acknowledged anywhere in the checkout process. A representative insisted that the shipping process consists of the order having to first process which can take up to two business days after placing the order and then they can be shipped out. Nowhere in the checkout steps does it explain such. I only paid $13 for two day shipping which obviously is two business days, it doesn't include weekends nor orders placed after 1 PM which is indeed mentioned upon check out. Turns out that my items will actually arrive four business days after, which I ordered on a weekday and prior to 1 PM.so what sense does it make to be charged for something that is not going to arrive exactly in two business days and does not inform you of so?! It is pathetic and a waste of time and definitely false advertisement along with stealing your money. I have ordered from their chain store and have paid two day shipping and have definitely received it in 2 business days so I do not understand what the difference is and apparently neither do their representatives. I spoke with Pablo who insisted that I was in the wrong and told me otherwise. I definitely will not be ordering from them oline ever again and most likely will never do so at a store either. Unbelievable!
My card was charged 300 dollars for my order I was then refused the items and told that I could make a separate payment to receive the items that I had just paid for... I as them told I couldn't speak to a supervisor and one would not call for another three days... in addition the price that I agreed to pay was increased twice without my approval NEVER AGAIN!
They have great styles. I wish they didnt have all of there clothes say areopostal because some of those clothes would look better without the logo
Cheap Garbage and the customer service supports the post. I was already embarassed to have the word "Aeropostale" across my shirt and tried to avoid looking Like an upgraded K-mart brand wearing thrifty, cheap, "I am broke" but trying to look cool, look acoustic 12 year old. Hhahaha. So glad I went somewhere else. *dabs* (like a premature teen) hehe.
My first time ordering online and they charged my card 3 times for the same order! I will never ever order from them again.
So I ordered an Aeropostale shirt online, and it turned out to run very small. I thought, well, no big deal, I'd just bring it to the store and return it. Apparently, because I had paid for the shirt with my Paypal account, I simply cannot be refunded (which sounded absurd because EVERY other clothing brand I buy from have been find with Paypal). I was told by the cashier that I could return exchange the shirt for an item of equal or lower price. She didn't even offer the option of getting a gift card instead of money. Overall, frustrating situation.
I'd still recommend the brand though. If you know your size, you can wait for their massive sale ($10 for shirts, $20 for jackets and pants, free shipping, what's not to love). However, just for the sake of my horrible experience, I'll still leave this brand a one star.
