Scammers
August 12, 2022

So they claim you have same as cash for 120 which is a complete and udder lie because my purchase was only 650 so how is I owe over 1k for a bed which they didn't even put together correctly so it started to fall apart. I complained and they refused to fix was wrong and blamed me for it. Next they said I only owed $175 after I was out with covid which means I was out of work and I called them and sent them all the proof and they declined my claim saying the insurance doesn't cover covid when I was told it does especially if I am out of work which I was even with proof. Now I'm getting reports on my credit that now I owe 750 when how tf is that. Honestly avoid these people they lie and make up as they go and funny they lied about the insurance coverage and my pay out when it meant they were no longer getting money from me so they jacked up my credit with lies and the pay out yet when I was paying not once were they reporting it

Theyre dishonest. The scam is the 120 day pay off scam. They give you a payment date that doesnt match your pay off date. Giving you the impression that your last payment is coincides with 120 pay off date. So when you go to make your last payment. They tell you have more payments cause your now in some 12 month rental agreement. They expect to get an extra $900 from a $840 purchase going to make a complaint with the ny state attorney general if they dont resolve this matter. If you go online theres already consumer awareness groups launching lawsuits and complaints. Dont do this program. Theres a push for bobs furniture to drop this program thats taking advantage of poorer consumers in low income neighborhoods like bobs furniture in the bronx. Shame on you bob's furniture

Associates was stealing my payment money I was still being charged even though it wasnt my fault. Cant get a hold of the district manager Allysha Reams doesn't return calls in which shes the district manager for the Sarasota Fl. Location. Ive been trying to get a hold her her for 30+ days and she hasnt answered or even tried to return my calls. Steven who is the store representative is also unreasonable he is untrustworthy and is out to help me as the customer. The corporate representatives are just as bad been waiting on them to return my call as well. Have a outstanding balance I'm trying to square away and they not responding. I do not recommend use another company if possible.

I am a customer with AcceptanceNow and I must say throughout this ordeal with the COVID-19 I personally had the best experience with a representative of AcceptanceNow by the name of Amanda. This young woman was the most genuine charismatic person I have had the pleasure of speaking and doing business with during this time. She went above and beyond her responsibilities to assist me with my account and payment. If I can continue doing business with this young lady you will have a customer for a long time! We remained on the phone for over 30 minutes trying to get everything situated, never once did Amanda show anything but the upmost respect for me but also is very knowledgeable about her business! This is the kind of person who deserves a shout out during this pandemic and the company should be proud to have such an outstanding employee! This is for the Montgomery, AL area.

Rental fee
October 27, 2021

They are a scam! How could a 1200. 00 loveseat become a total of 3500. 00? When the total 3 piece cost that amount no one told me after 120 days it's considered rental fee. I said this is a loan I transfer my loveseat over to your company to get it off layaway. Plus the credit from Value City. Talk with the manager she sends me a email and said that corporate credit this amount so you only owes 1500. 00. I said is that include the payments that I make, she said no that is your balance. I said my balance should be around 450.00. So, the payments I made is just gone to waste. I said I'm reporting the scam you guys are running on your customer. This will be reported to the BBB.

May 21, 2020

IF you are down on your luck and trying to build credit please DO NOT use this company. Sit/lay on the FLOOR! If I wouldn't have called today, my poor parents would have ended up paying 6000$ for what was 2384$! This company takes advantage of people who are all already having a rough time in life... and it MAKES ME SICK!

I purchased a sectional and a chair that was originally $2048. 00. Early Purchase Option was $2557. 98. I have not been able to access my account since day one. Customer service is non existent. I have always waited no less than 48 minutes on hold. Then to only be told things like... Our system is down, I can not help you with password support, your account does not provided you with a history of payments, call the store where to got the furniture from they should be able to help you, call us back after you try a few more times to login to your account.
This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They have so many optional charges that they do not inform you of, for example if your automatic payments are 300 monthly, $70 of that is going to extra charges, not towards your furniture payments. These people are scammers. I even have a phony contact number on my contract that doesn't exist. I regret not putting more time and attention to who I was dealing with. Your better off with Progressive, I had no issues with them at all. Completed my EPO in 3 months with them, with no issues and great customer service.

I bought a living room set for $2,450 on June 2020. My wife and I had a budget of $2,000 and we wanted to stay with in our budget but, a sales person convinced us to buy a more expensive piece of furniture for $2,450 and told we can pay our $2,000 and finance the rest ($450). They had computer issue the day of the purchase and told us that they will have to financed the full $2,450 and to pay our $2,000 and to pay the the remaining $450 before 01/09/2020 to avoid any fees. Is December and we want to pay pay it off but they are telling we have to pay $1,999 because we we were supposed to pay the remaining $450 before 120 days. And they are charging interest from the full $2,450 and not just the $450. This is a legal scamming company. They could just finance 450$ they had to finance $2,450 just so we pay more interest. Oir family was impacted by covid19 and now this company is just sending people to bankruptcy.

I paid off my purchase with Ashley Furniture months ago but have continued to be charged for the "Benefits Plus" monthly loan fee, in spite of being told it would auto cancel. After three months of being charged for this fee, (now about $40 worth), I called again and was told I should have been given a ticket number in the past, they would give me one and I would hear from an account manager by phone within 72 business hours and THEN the charges would stop. The woman talked over me several times. I won't get a cent back, for the overcharges, either. So much for the "solutions department." I am skeptical that I'll hear back, and I told them they would need to leave a message because I don't answer unrecognized numbers. I'm sick of these companies jacking people around and enriching themselves off of those who are trying to rebuild credit. I recommend staying away from Ashley Furniture, too, because they align themselves with this racket. I'll update when I get an actual resolution, hopefully not another three months from now.

Don't do it!
February 21, 2020

I purchased my items with Acceptance Now back in November. My 90 days ended in February. When I called in January I was advised that my balance was $1200- before I made my $200 payment. So I called on 2/20 to pay off my balance and was told it was $1005. 00. She said I couldn't pay off over the phone and since they would be closing soon she said that I had until 3/6 before the balance would change. I went in today 2/21 and she said my balance was $1535. 00. I said that's not what you said last night. After a bunch of bs and her typing she shows me the screen that didn't provide a full detailed list. I asked for printouts same thing! I said how did my balance that you said last night wouldn't change jump up $500 more dollars? She played dumb as if she never spoke to me about a balance of $1005. Long story short, they are full of shizz and I got scammed. Don't fall for their shenanigans!

Crooks!
July 25, 2021

Don't use this company. There signing good people up into very bad unethical contracts. They are unprofessional, rude and don't support Black Lives Matter. There racist and prey off of customers who aren't credit educated, bad or not so good credit. After you've paid off what the furniture store charges you, you will continue to pay for two years or more later. Please read the contract! After six months if your total balance isn't paid off they will double x4 the price to keep you locked in. Not to mention the furniture is cheap and breaks within six months. Your better off going to obtain a loan from Omni Financial or waiting for your tax return. Bobs furniture as well as Value city are both working with this company.

They will harsh you if your one day late. They call everyone. Your friends, family, Employer, leasing office. They will even talk to your neighbors. Any company that aligns with them are also crooks. Knowing what there doing to there customers. I'm in process of suing them currently.

This company claims they look out for your best interest when it comes to credit, it's a lie. I am an employee for the company and I am very disgusted with how this company operates. If a customers does not pay off their furniture within 120 days their interest rates go from 12% to 63%. We get customers for double than what they signed to pay. The best part about it, we call the past due customers twice a day for 150 days in a row. I'm talking cell phones, house phones, references and can't forget about jobs! Your payment is one day late? Don't worry we'll definitely remind you :) Not to mention, this company doesn't scam customers only. They scam employees too! Tune in cause the party is just getting started! I referred two associates to work with me. Apparently when the associate completed their 90th day pRoBaTioN I was supposed to receive $500 PER referral. The store manager who is in the process of becoming a district manager stood over this associates shoulder and watched him enter my name in the employee referral box. Now all of a sudden the people above my manager claim the associate did not enter my name. How does a district manager who WITNESSED this not count as proof? I got got by my own job. Do not apply to work here & buy furniture somewhere else, this company is bull$#*! & I say that as I currently apply for new jobs. Sincerely a young hard working 21 year old trying to earn a living.

Where do I start? First, the amount you are verbally quoted does not match up with the amount on your paperwork. They can't tell you what accounts for the extra cost. You have to start paying BEFORE you receive your merchandise (every other company I've ever worked with, it starts the day you receive it), which in my case was nearly six weeks. They charge you $49.99 "deposit", which if you cancel they try to tell you is a "processing fee" and is not refundable (which as soon as I mentioned a lawyer, that was immediately refunded). They also informed me that not all of my payment would go towards my balance for 120 days "same as cash"--meaning it's not "same as cash", and it's being charged interest and fees. Upon digging, it was fees for all these extra things I wasn't told about, like insurance, some weird "benefits program", etc.

I got a bad feeling about everything, and I'm glad I decided to hold off signing things and do my research, because this company is predatory beyond belief. I'd rather sit on the floor than ever pay this company $3500 for a $1000 couch.

Beat around the bush.
August 21, 2023

If you arent direct with your questioning, and dont read. This company will take you for a ride. I was trying to finance about 900 bucks. I was approved immediately for acceptance and the rep absolutely would NOT answer my questions. He was very young and trying to spare me the interest charges by telling me to pay within 120 days. I like to prepare for the worst so I asked for figures on 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months and he said it was impossible to give me those numbers. Then he wrote down on the application the "principal minums" which just had a dollar amount, and number of payments. No total. Turns out out if you do a little math you can find your "impossible" number. Which is roughly double the financed amount if you take the longest term to pay. I got lucky with a rep that didn't seem to care much; and I had my wits about me. However I'm sure some of these clerks are TOTAL SHARKS. Don't get caught bleeding in the water. I left the store and bought with PayPal financing instead.
