Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Freshly staff and previous consumers.
Hi Jeanne, thank you for your question! In fact, all of our meals are gluten free! While we do not have a menu currently catered for dairy free meals, we do have dairy free selections on the menu. You can set a Dietary Preference to avoid dairy after signing up, which will place a warning symbol on any meal you should avoid. You can also view the ingredients list for each meal by clicking on the pictures on our menu! Also, as we continue to grow we would love to open up the menu to have options for a wider range of dietary needs/preferences (including dairy free!)
Hi Annie! Your husband can certainly skip weeks of his subscription, or pause indefinitely, if he does not want to continue with Freshly. We do not have a time or weekly order commitment for our subscription service! To pause or cancel, you would just need to access the Subscription Settings (through the Meal Planner). Both options will be at the bottom of the page. He can skip weeks in the individual weeks of the Meal Planner! If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at Support@Freshly.com / 1 (844) FRESHLY.
You can certainly heat the meals in the oven! Youll just need to pop the meals into an oven-safe dish! We suggest at 350 degrees, for breakfasts about 4 minutes, stir/mix up then 2 more minutes... for entrees about 8 minutes, stir/mix up then 2 more minutes. Of course, times will vary based on your preferences! The meals are already cooked so you're really just reheating to your desired temperature.:-)
Great question! Say you choose the 6 Meal plan--during ordering you'll pick your start delivery day--say you pick the next Wednesday available. You'll get those 6 meals all delivered in one box on that Wednesday, and then 6 meals every Wednesday moving forward, unless you skip weeks, pause, or cancel. :) You'd also be able to change your plan size if needed!
We don't currently have any kind of return program. We wouldn't be able to reuse the packaging since it has shipped food items. We do our best to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible. Our boxes are recyclable, as are the plastic meal containers and cardboard sleeves. The recycled denim insulation is largely biodegradable, and the gel ice packs are non-toxic, water soluble, and the plastic bags for them are recyclable.:-) And we're always looking for new ideas/products to help even more!
Great question! Because we don't use chemical/artificial preservatives our meals have a shorter refrigerated shelf life than frozen dinners & the like. There is a use-by date stamped on each meal's sleeve--it's typically about 4-5 days out. At that time you can certainly freeze any meals you haven't eaten to make them last longer.:-)
No the meals are currently all cooked at our kitchen in Phoenix. We have definitely found that food is incredibly subjective. One customer will rave about the meals while the next may severely dislike them. Even meal-to-meal---one person recently said the Lebanese meatballs we had was their absolute favorite while another said they couldn't stand the dish.:-) We have strict quality control standards in place for consistency, food safety & taste & if ever we come across a quality issue we report it immediately for investigation & correction.
