I purchased to Promo Code vouchers for a 'Dim Sum Afternoon Tea' at the Millenium hotel London as a surprise Birthday Lunch for my husband
The voucher stated availability until 5pm.
On arrival at 4.35pm my husband was VERY pleasantly surprised
(and relieved from shopping).
On entering the restaurant and displaying the voucher the waiter disappeared for a couple minutes then returned with the. Manager', only to say that it was now 4.38 and Dim Sum was no longer being served.!
Imagine the embarrassment and disappointment!
I had been so looking forward to surprising my husband, and he indeed was excited when we had arrived!
If the closing time is 5pm you are liable to accept customers until that time.
This is not acceptable from a quality Hotel/Restaurant.
The fact we had travelled from Stamford, Lincs., and were then resorted to hunting for a decent place to lunch was a massive let down and totally ruined our day and my Birthday Surprise - was astonished at the lack of service.


Having used Interflora online to purchase a bouquet for a friends birthday we were very impressed and so shortly afterward on wanting to buy flowers for a funeral we again ordered via interflora for collection. When my husband brought home the bouquet I was stunned.
It was atrocious! Flowers, the few there were, were quoted and dying!
We immediately contacted the local florist who speedily arranged collection and promised replacement free delivery.
This was in fact carried out but the bouquet was still atrocious!
For £30 we had 3 'just surviving' roses and 3 unopened buds of kind with some greenery!
In our way to the cemetery we stopped and got 2 bouquets from a well known supermarket for less money and they looked absolutely lovely.
We threw the others in the bin as they were not even worth having around the house.
I can only say how humiliated I would be if flowers like this had been arranged for delivery ditect to our recipient!
Unfortunately I now know interflora are too unreliable.
If this is the service you get on collecting your own flowers and then the replacement is still unacceptable something is amiss.
Unfortunately on contacting Interflora website and complaining about the standard I received there were a couple of emails going back and forth about dates etc but unfortunately not even a decent apology or explanation for sub-standard service.
NOT acceptable when you have no faith in a company to deliver goods of standard.


We dined at this restaurant after purchasing a Groupon voucher.
It was for a two course meal plus glass of wine for two.
On arrival, the voucher was explained, (be wary there are a lot of conditions!)
We finally settled on our starter, which was actually very nice (hence the one star) and our main. My husband chose a King Prawn dish (all fish dishes £3.00 extra) which would have been fine except on arrival I do not know what it was but it certainly was not King Prawns!
I left the sample my husband gave me - it tasted disgusting, and my curry Passanda was ridiculously sweet! The red wine I had ordered was diabolical - more like vinegar! I did note that no-one asked if the wine was ok as it was left untouched.
To top all this my husband was sick for three days after, with vomiting and diarrhoea.
I knew the prawns were not right and under normal circumstances I would have sent it all straight back - now Iknow to stick to my guns.
But a definite no no from me- and the prices are atrocious for the extreme lack of quality


We booked a hotel in London via Lastminute.com under their 'Secret Deal', whereby the hotel you are allocated to is not defined until after your purchase.
This being done, and on then connecting to the hotel website found the same booking, except for the fact had we booked directly with the hotel and paying £3-00 more we would have been eligible for breakfast!
Extremely disappointing and actually felt conned--- as the hotel explained we could not add this on as they pay commission to the agent, in this case Lastminute.com.
Will NOT be booking through them in the future!


We love Nandos -- but the last few visits have been terrible.
The food arrives in minutes (thats why its cold), but its worrying when it comes to poultry in particular. Chips are at blanched stage- had to send them back a couple of times!
Service is there if you look for it.
Terribly disheartened, and actually even the chicken looks smaller!
Its not cheap, and unfortunately standard is dwindling


I have purchased through Amazon hundreds of times, ranging from the cheaper end of the scale to the expensive, and their service has ALWAYS been excellent!
Deliveries surpass expectations, with some notifying and letting you slot delivery times whilst enabling to track your item so theres no need to stay in all day!
Customer Service has always - in my experience- been helpful and polite
Returns and Refunds have always been dealt with promptly and efficiently.
I can find no fault with Amazon at all, and is a pity not every online retail outlet is this efficient.
Marvellous, and very competitive.
Would never hesitate to whole-heartedly recommend buying from AMAZON.


Having purchased many, many deals (my partner will vouch for this) from Groupon, I have to say they are FANTASTIC>
Most of their deals are bargains to say the least, and my purchases have varied from Dining Out, Gettaways, Electrical, Salon/Spa... the list goes on.
Customer Service is great. I personally have not had a problem they have not dealt with efficiently.
The only fault I have found is the fact there is normally a long wait to talk to an agent on 'CHAT' and their knowledge of Voucher/Promo Codes isn't always on the mark resulting in a long wait and a couple of times having to contact a second time to resolve the issue.
However it still gets my FIVE STARS because I love this site so much.


I have been a member of Living Social a while and I have probably purchased the least from this site in comparison to others selling the same type of products.
Choice of deals is not so vast or outstanding and therefore do not check it out daily as I do others.
Returns/Refunds have been dealt with promptly and efficiently via their website without my having to contact agents directly, so they have my four stars as I dont really have a reason to complain other than lack of deals to choose from.


I have researched several holidays/gettaways on Expedia, but have only actually purchased from them once.
The site is easy to use albeit a little long winded before I got to where I wanted, and I found that on all the other occassions I found a better deal after taking the time to shop around.
Therefore I would recommend a search but dont book it straight away- do your research first.
