Save yourself a lot of frustration and don't order. Can't return and stuff is crap! Can't get in touch with them.
This site is ok IF:
1. You are not In a hurry, I mean you saw something that is quite a deal for, say, Christmas 6 months from now
2. You take your time and think about your purchase... some of their items are lower in price but when you add the shipping cost (if you're only buying one at a time), it's basically the same price as out there
3. Don't ever, EVER buy clothing, jewelry, shoes, furniture a, high $$ items... coz well, you shouldn't buy clothes or shoes without trying them first anyway esp when it's zero return policy. And jewelry... I personally like to hold them first to see how much they weight/tarnish/shine/etc (and frankly a $10 "silver" or gold ring just brings out the word "skeptical" in my mental dictionary.
4. My personal method: Google the exact item to see what's the going price out there and then I decide if it's worth to price and risks ordering from Zulily; don't spend more than $15 for an item unless you could know for sure it's not counterfeited.
5. Don't eagerly wait for the items to come, I usually order then forget it for a month or more before it finally arrived
6. Last and foremost, sometimes you ordered an item and sometime later you get an email saying your order has been cancelled... keep in mind though: you are still already charged for it and they give you store credit for it, they don't give you your money back (which I think is a complete scam and crap but I won't raise hell since it happens twice to items that cost $10 or less... so far)
There you go, just be careful what you order and spend on this site. So far (other than the two cancelled orders for store credit), I 've gotten what I ordered.
I pretty much love everything I've purchased. I love the updates on my orders. Will definitely continue to shop this site.
Most of the items are a good deal and worth waiting for. It helps if you are familiar with the brand.
I've didn't think a company could stay in business if they scored the highest for lying employees(" we don't charge your card until it ships"- they actually charge your card on Day 1 and then at the latest Day 5 9 to pay the Vendors-mostly from China... They do not return phone calls, i've had reps hang up on me for various reasons: I was inquiring about a shipment, I wanted to cancel something or an order.( this is the kiss of death with them, they either won't cancel it at all but will say they did, if they cancel they will not refund your money even if you threaten to sue them, they do not take returns even though they say they will if something is damaged/defective. I went for months trying to send defective stuff back and could never get them to call me. They said "send us photos", which I did... then nothing. Finally I sent a whole box of things to them ($900) and even then they kept talking in circles and said hey didn't "approve the return". I placed many many orders with them but don't have the clothes or the refunds from things I cancelled... Even if you get a refund, they make it impossible to reconcile your bank account because they take the full order amount out at the beginning, but then they refund like $9.99, $29.99, $14.99, and you can't determine which order it relates to. Try getting help? Forget it. They get paid to lie, commit fraud, and outsmart the customer. I thought Haute Look was a disaster but Zulily makes them look like a reputable online company, and they aren't either. My banker couldn't even figure out what we should do so we shut down all my accounts so they had no way of accessing my cards anymore. There were several orders where they charged me more than once for the SAME ORDER, just varying the numbers like, $1204. 50, then $1201. 34... They should be reported to some kind of online authority that monitors fraudulent behavior and acts but I never could find out who that was and I just gave out and gave up... and out a BUNCH of money but I just had to let it go.If you decide to order from them, watch your bank cards for multiple charges... don't worry about finding your refunds because there won't be any, I'm sorry to say. Despicable company and employees... LS
I started out liking Zulily. I did. The shipping was slow, They packed things in an unprofessional manner and there was a 50/50 shot that anything glass or ceramic would arrive broken and something in your ordered would be wrong. Hats arrived crushed. Their clothing sizes were all over the place and their size charts were inaccurate to say the least. They were pretty cool about returns, but it was a hassle. They had some good deals and I gradually learned what brands fit and which ones didn't, so I put up with it. Gradually things started going downhill and their prices steadily increased. In July they sent me the wrong shoes. I followed their new return procedures to the letter and sent them back with several other items. The items I sent other than the shoes were all credited to my account. The shoes seemed to be missing from any refund. Since I payed by Paypal and was having no luck getting a response from Zulily, I contacted Paypal and filed a dispute. Zulily rapidly refunded my Zulily account, but not my Paypal account. I dropped the dispute because I felt this was an adequate solution and I was tired of fighting with them. Today, several months later I went to purchase something from another online vendor and I was unable to use my Paypal account. No idea of why. I contacted Paypal and my account was negative $19.99 and I needed to transfer money from my bank account to Paypal or I couldn't use the account. Why? Because Zulily put in a claim for $19.99 because I dropped the dispute. First they sent me the wrong shoes, secondly they refused to refund said shoes until I filed a complaint with Paypal, and now my funds were tied up that I wanted to use in another store because they wanted $19.99 from my Paypal account! I guess they were punishing me for filing a complaint. So, today was the day I had enough. I closed my account with Zulily and requested that everything on order be cancelled and refunded to my Paypal account. I've bought a lot of merchandise from Zulily, however this was the last straw. I will not be bullied this way for $19.99 by any company. Zulily is a hot mess. Use at your own peril.
I have really gotten in to Zulily over the past few weeks. To date, I have received 2 pairs of shoes, a shirt, a dress, and academic workbooks for my children. I have had really good experiences so far; nothing unexpected. I think my success has been largely due to the fact that I have made sure to do my homework. 1) I do not expect for shipping to be fast and I would not order something that I have to have in a certain timeframe. As others have mentioned, Zulily has to wait to receive your items and then ships them on to you. They ship to me from in Ohio and I live in Ohio so I am sure I receive things more quickly than a lot of others do. 2) No Refunds. It states this everywhere. If you get what you ordered and it doesn't work for you then I would not expect a refund. To this end, I try to be really! Really sure that An item will fit me and look good on me before I buy. I try not to rely on Zulily's size chart and try to find measurements for the brand other places online. I try Google and if I can't find it there I search the brand on ebay. A lot of ebay sellers list the clothing's exact measurements. I am short, so I look for length measurements on dresses. Sometimes Zulily has these and sometimes they don't (and I can never tell by the models because they are so tall). When in doubt, I don't order it. I wait for something I like that I am more sure of. Zulily sells a lot of items that are similar, so you can be pretty sure they will again have something you like. Others have commented on the quality of the items sold, but I have gotten pretty much what I expected. You can get some information about a garment's material in the description, but again, don't take the chance if you don't feel really comfortable with it. Of course, you can always resell on ebay to recoup some of your money if the item doesn't work out. I would suggest listing measurements if you do try to resell. ;) I really like browsing Zulily's inventory and I like anticipating receiving my packages. Just know your risks before you dive in.
I like the product that zulily.com sells, so I tend to shop on their site a lot. I have been shopping for a couple years and as we speak, I even have 5 orders with them now, even furniture.
Now the problem that I have been having with zulily.com is their SHIPPING PROCESS WHICH SUCKS AND I AM SO FRUSTRATED. ZULILY'S SHIPPING POLICY IS RIDICULOUS, THEY HAVE NO PLAN, AND THEY DO NOT TREAT CUSTOMER WITH THE RESPECT OF TRYING TO CALL AND FIND OUT WHERE OUR ORDER WENT.
The usual excuse is that we don't have your apartment number; this EXCUSE is so old and frustrating and is such bull$#*!, as they have delivered to my apartment before and yet still the excuse. Now I 't want to blast them, but this is way too common and it IRKS me. I have to wait so long for my orders and then either they don't arrive or they are returned to them.
I am fed up with zulily.com. I ordered a pair of Bailey UGG boots, got it for 76.00 and I didn't receive it, and when I called them, they said that it was returned, and SOLD OUT and they have to give me a refund. This is the last straw, after these last orders, I am going to give them a break for now, I am not getting my orders, and I am just over Zulily.com for now.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STORIES ABOUT Zulily.com?????
I've ordered many items from this company. The shoes are always good, except for one pair of sandals which were pathetically made and the strap was useless, and one pair of plastic boots which I didn't bother giving as a present. I don't order clothes off here normally, although I would recommend ordering the ones from Europe, which look much better, although pricier. I've had poor experiences ordering clothes due to quality with Zulily and won't do it anymore. I browse Zulily as a way of relaxing after work on some days. I'm won't order sunglasses again, after ordering Halston made in Italy sunglasses, only to find they were made in China when they arrived. Zulily credited my account when I complained. They have always credited my account if I don't like an item, including curtains which were pathetic, and anything I didn't like, which is why they say on their website they don't do refunds, but they will try to make the situation satisfactory (by refunding your money). I always check shipping time. My reason for writing today is because they are selling Barzel bracelets and other jewelry today, claiming they are originally 160.00 or thereabouts Canadian. I checked Barzel on Google, found a website with no address, and it did claim to have close to that retail price - 140.00 probably in U.S. funds. I then checked around and found the same Barzel item online at Walmart for about 12.00 which explains why Zulily was selling them for a sale of 8.99 or so Canadian. Just do your homework, and don't expect clothes to be stellar if you buy cheap. Go to Marshalls and buy your cheap clothing there where you can try it on and return if necessary within a reasonable time.
I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, order from ZOO-LILY (Zulily) again. This was my first and last time ordering. Just as others have commented, placed an order for Christmas gifts, which was mid-November, today is December the 26th and STILL NO packages. I too emailed the company with concerns about the shipping of my items, explaining to them that they were Christmas gifts and was assured that the order would be rushed or that I wanted a refund. The next day after receiving the email, my order wouldn't come up on the website but the next day it said that some of the items were shipped and others were not. I live in Arkansas, the tracking started from Nevada to Utah to NEW ENGLAND (why?) to Kansas. Now the ETA is December 30! I could of waited and done the after Christmas sales in Macy's or Penney's or some other brick and mortar if I had known. Next time I will read the reviews before ordering from another website. And lastly, isn't ironic that as soon as you place the order, it comes directly out of your account not after shipping or a few days later.
I have ordered a lot from here, wrong items sent, wrong sizing, and today a linen top got a huge hole under the arm, see through linen, never again!
If Im paying you money via credit card why can you only refund store credit if I refund in guidelines and within 30 days?
Thats really a bad policy.
The merchandise they send looks nothing like the pictures. I tried to turn to customer service so I can return it all but they do not answer.'
BEWARE! DO NOT SHOP THERE.
If I could give them less than one star, I would, but their customer service has tried to help so I gave them a star. I ordered 3 pair of Emu Australia Suede boots ($300) right after Christmas. They were supposed to ship the week of January 14 since they were coming from Australia. The boots never came, never received ANY information about the order status and they processed my payment right away since I used Paypal. After several unanswered emails I started calling the company, and they kept telling me that the order was delayed because of weather, there was a problem with the shipment being on a boat that was delayed, and finally they admitted that there was some sort of problem with the vendor that their buyers were negotiating and that only about half the orders were actually received. At this point I have had two of the three pairs of boots canceled by Zulily, and I'm bracing for that last pair to be canceled as well. I understand that they're a middle man, but I am extremely disappointed that they sold something they couldn't deliver. They take orders for the products, take your payment, and then place the group order with the manufacturers. But why were the orders not fulfilled? Is the problem with Emu Australia or is it Zulily misrepresenting what they are capable of? At this point I am disappointed (two of the pairs of boots were for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas) and irritated that I've now missed out on other sales from legitimate vendors that might not have been as cheap, but at least would have been fulfilled. This was my first - and last - experience with Zulily. I won't be shopping there again. Buyer beware - you might not get what you pay for!
Great stuff at nice prices. Always fun to shop. Great for holiday shopping. Everyone loves the things I find- always asking where I found "it".
Great to work... love the merchandise I have bought... if I haven't or if there was a problem, Zulily was wonderful about making it right!
I have been using Z for almost a year. Have gotten some awesome deals.
You always need to compare to other sites - Just a suggestion.
I truly appreciate the good prices, great product selection and excellent customer service. I can always find exactly what I want and need on Zulily.
I love, love, love this website. Always something different with amazing prices. Even the customer service is awesome. I but so much stuff from them
Answer: Zulily has awesome customer service! I have nothing bad to say about them! Definitely worth ordering from them... I have been happy every time (& I use it a lot!)
Answer: I have never ordered shoes from them but I agree that they likely vary according to brand. Contrary to other comments (that I am very suspicious of...) I have never waited a long time and the quality has always been as shown. There are so many rip-off sites out there and I suspect some hire people to post phony negative reviews on the 'good' sites. I do not recommend searching for cheaper products - you'll end up on a bogus, cheap site. I now research every site name and sift through comments - its exhausting but has saved me from spending money on sites that were not good.
Answer: Got money to burn? Order from Zulily. There isn't enough room on the Internet to list all the reasons you should NOT order from them!
Answer: Nope... no returns accept and good luck on getting a refund. Stay away from this site.
Answer: It could be a week or it could be 3 months. But my advice would be not to order at all. The sizes are never right (a small may fit someone that wears a large or it may be too small for an infant) and the quality sucks (the fabric on a dress I bought is so thin you can see through 4 layers). STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
Answer: Wrong size, no return policy. Beware don't order from them
Answer: Sorry I don't know the answer, but it could explain why everything is so cheap
Answer: Yes, it may take that long, but they are up front about that on the item description page. I have never had a problem with them.
Answer: Let me just put this out there. The people who bought things from Zulily (and are unhappy with their purchases), probably didn't research the brand before they bought it. Think of Zulily like Marshalls or TJMaxx. That's what Zulily is, in online form. I just bought a hoodie from them, and researched the brand before I bought it. The particular hoodie was being discontinued, so they were selling it very cheaply. I bought it, and it is the real deal, originally $89. So research the brand. And don't expect your purchase quickly. They wait until they have enough orders to bulk purchase (another reason why their prices are low), before they buy. So it'll be a few weeks before you get it. I hope this helps.
Answer: If you bought them from Zulily, you might see about making your granddaughters feet smaller. I'm sure that's easier than dealing with Zulily.
Zulily has a rating of 2.3 stars from 4,525 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zulily most frequently mention store credit, return policy and poor quality. Zulily ranks 9th among Daily Deals sites.
