I've been on this site off and on for several months, have not joined. I agree with previous post, it's more like an arcade game than a dating site. You have to earn "coins" by looking at pictures on the carousel... and you must click YES or MAYBE to earn each one, a NO will not get you a coin. I'm not hung up on looks, but I would say only ONE out of 100 even appeal to me... the rest look like serial killers, and many of my "matches" live clear across the country. So glad I read all the reviews, I was about to sign up for one month... I will save my money and find something better. Thanks everyone, and best wishes to all!
Beware of this scam. First of all, a one month membership of less than $30.00 is accompanied by an additional "activation" charge of over $25.00. You can get messages, but you have to buy "coins" to actually learn about any of the creeps who would contact you. Then there's the "saved searches" that don't save anything. If I could give less than a star I would. You might meet someone here if you're lucky, but your time is better spent out and about living life in the three dimensional world at best and on another site at worst.
I didn't believe online dating worked after several years of trying. Within 1 day of being in Zoosk, Tony reached out to me and we started chatting. By the weekend we had our first date. Thanks Zoosk!
There are a decent pool of people on here but I really didn't care for having to spend so much time on the carousel to avoid spending more money. You don't know until after you sign up that "30 coins" are required to connect with a person that has expressed interest in you. You can earn a max of 40 coins a day by saying yes/maybe to connecting with a person based on their picture and city only. On average I might spend 20-30 minutes clicking through pictures before I'd find 40 ppl that I liked --not the time investment I had originally planned on. But, I refused to spend more money after already paying for 6 months in advance.
Anyway, in spite of all that... I met someone that I really like and it looks like we may be able to make this thing work.
I wish I could give less than 1 star- it's misleading, no filtering whatsoever. I have non-qualifiers signing up just to talk to me. This has been a tremendous waste of energy, as every time I take a look, there is a non- qualifier who has written a few times and then erupted into a rant about nonsense that they have arrived to. Also, random criticism from non- qualifying members for no reason at all.
Horrible, energy wasting experience. I hope not all sites are this bad.
Don't spend any money on this. You can get anything on here for free on some of the other sites. They are constantly telling you someone wants to chat and there's no way to talk. Also, the vast majority of women seem to be looking for high income men, so if that's a turn off, look elsewhere. I got conned.
This site is crazy expensive but does allow you to find singles in your area. I never paid for the full version but I was able to find someone in my town by using my real name as my username (not suggested), and so did the person I'm currently dating. We were able to meet after he found me on Facebook (you can't contact singles unless you pay so this worked out well). I'd suggest others to try this method if you don't want to pay and you feel safe using your real name; be sure to confirm through chatting on another social media site that anyone you're pursuing is a good person and not a serial killer as we're all afraid of on online dating!
The site gave you plenty of opportunities to meet all different types of Gentleman. I met someone rather quickly and would love to share my experiences on a commercial for tv Please feel free to contact me if the zoosk team has an interest in partnering with me. Thank you. Lori *******600.
Joining Zoosk had been a last ditch effort to be honest. And at first it was just like several other sites with a lot of messages just looking for a hookup. Ive met some amazing people and finally found the one that clicked! I would say give it some time and be pretty selective. If you cant find something to talk about its probably not worth it and your dates may just be full of awkward silences. Good luck!
The information was at best inaccurate and it attracted such a wide variety of people. No filtering and despite your trying to narrow it down; you still got what you were not even remotely interested in.
This is a money gouging fraud. It says it's a free dating app. But once you download it they want a 75 dollar subscription fee then another 99 dollars in order to purchase coins to use on the sight for things like messaging or what they called super searching which only ever brought up matches that were clearly bots then when I finally caught on and wanted to cancel my service they wanted to charge me another 25 dollars as a cancellation fee. Do yourself a favor and just take 200 dollars to a bar and light it on fire that will get you much closer to meeting someone than this sight ever will.
Zoosk did what it promised to do and introduced me to my sweetie! I don't usually like on line dating sites, You never know who or what You might wind up with, but I am great full for all of the introductions.
It was great meeting the love of my life. But there are some pretty creepy people out there. Just be sure the person you talk to is legit! Video chat and talk about each others interests so you can see if there's a connection between you two.
Totally enjoyed the experience, Met numerous men on this site and made some good friends that I just talk to now and then even though we didn't have the chemistry to date,
Recently met a wonderful man, who has made all my dreams come true... Thank you...
Zoosk checks your personal information against social media, your phone number. Additionally there is an application called Tin Eye. You can use it to check photographs to see if they have been used in known cons and fraud. I never had a problem with Zoosk. However, on another website every other contact I heard from was a con. As long as you are careful, don't give out phone numbers and other personal information too soon, don't meet at night or take someone with you, and use common sense, it is good.
Satisfied overall. However, zoosk could improve system by helping customer find and search and increase chances in their local area. You know there is a zoosk distance problem with attractive people in far off places. Mike
After paying for a 3 month subscription, I was not given the "Free Perks" as advertised. I had about 21 days of "Instant Crush" and the option of going back to look at a profile. Many of the profiles had no picture or story, making it impossible to make a selection. Their matches and smart picks resulted in people far exceeding the 100 mile preference, 95% of the time. You CANNOT edit your default search parameters and if you critize them, your story gets "edited". Definitely not renewing my subscription!
This is the worst dating site ever... please just burn your money. They did not answer my 1st request from day 1 to return my money as I found out that the lure to get me in was nothing but a marketing scam... lies and miss reputation... I implore you to think twice and shame on this company... is it even American?
I believe I was fooled in to joining a hook up site. Most profiles are only pictures, no one actually writes about themselves or what they're looking for AND I keep getting messages from out of state people. I'm left wondering if this is the new way to pick up lot lizards? Additionally, it is NOT free. It is advertised as free however if you wish to send messages to anyone you have to subscribe $30+ a month... False advertising!
Guys! It's really a fake website, created for the purpose of debit money from you bank account automatic renew. I have cancelled my subscription but monthly subscription amount is being debited from my account. I hate this, even though there is no service/response or no contact number I'm fed up with writing mail to them no one ever responded till now.
Please don't go for it, I'm already cheated I wish I can stop a few, if once you have given your bank account details you are done.
Answer: These view are fake. Zoosk is lousy site! They obviously mislead their customers giving them fake likes and matches. You get instant bot auto-responses. I left to http://J4Love.net The result of my search there is incredibly awesome: I finally spent Christmas with my woman! I had wasted 11 months on Zoosk and then it took me just one month here to meet my perfect woman. Don't let Zoosk con you into their shady and phony "dating" kingdom. Zoosk is worthless, time is precious! The longevity of profiles is tremendous, they are there for years, obviously outdated.
Answer: The real matches are scant and located at distant places. The fake matches are abundant especially when your membership is about to end. It's phony. I met my girlfriend on http://J4Love.net This dating service is a lot better than Zoosk, Match, Tinder, etc. They are more professional with ethical approach to business - something that Zoosk lacks now. Zoosk used to be better couple of years ago, but now they suck.
Answer: ZOOSK, is a total RIPOFF
Answer: NO MA'AM IT IS NOT. In fact I only used the coins when I could get them for free. Under the system that's no longer possible. Nobody takes that sort of thing seriously, and for a woman it's even less relevant.
Answer: In the two months I have been on Zoosk. I have chatted with a number of woman, exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone and I am just an average looking joe. I have also had times when I received a chat request and the person does not respond. You do have to pay to chat and the other person has to be a paid member. OK if your reading this there is one thing I found, if you search, only pay attention to the ones that say "recently online", the other ones may be fake or no longer active. It's a numbers game I have had many that did not respond to my messages also.
Answer: I believe it is. But how safe is the internet these days. Just don't be quick to give too much information too soon you will know when its right to share. Good luck
Answer: Not at all don't bother buying them just play some games u will get some
Answer: Chances are you're sending a message to someone that was a member long ago and isn't registered any longer. Zoosk is a total scam.
Answer: Unfortunatly not. You have to be a member. I suggest you don't try this site. It won't help you to find wat you're looking for. Cheers. R.
Answer: I can't believe you expect that! The whole idea is anonymity until people are comfortable with exchanging personal info.
