The hair is definitely not human I washed it and it was so sticky! My hair dresser took it out because, I added some dark pieces with the blonde extensions and my extensions literally turned DARK PURPLE! We have emailed them and still haven't got a reply! Do not waste your money on these extensions they are NOT 100% human hair!
I absolutely love Zala! One of my favorite things about them is that the customer service people are so helpful! I've never been disappointed with Zala
Wow! I just received my New Zala 20 inch weft bundles (2) of 613 Beach Blonde and so far I am so impressed! I ordered on Saturday and received today on Wednesday super quick I am first time Zala purchaser and have over the last 7 years I have purchased numerous hair extension weft sew Ins including Bellami and immediately the Zala is beautifully packaged in a box with beautiful double drawn thick smooth hair I noticed the quality immediately Love it! Thank You Zala!
I wish I'd taken these reviews more seriously however unfortunately Zala remove any mention of a bad review on their site or socials. I've already had them delete reviews and comments of mine.
To start with, Zala advertise 2-3 day shipping to New Zealand from Australia which is a complete sham. The hair took over two weeks to get to me, while other items ordered from Australia took a normal 5 days.
Within twelve hours of having my invisi-tape extensions installed, the hair became rough, frizzy and matted. I had hoped that leaving it to settle and doing a mask before my first wash would help but it only became worse. The hair is so fluffy and unruly, it's unbelievable. I reached out to Zala with my concerns and asked for a refund in exchange for returning the hair - I am a solicitor and am more than aware of the guarantees given to products by law but Zala won't recognise that they need to follow the law like everyone else and won't refund me. Unfortunately I was duped but please do not be like me!
Not real human hair and also they sell under the grams they advertise customer service is $#*! don't buy
Anyone posting saying "I love this hair" has clearly never had extensions before or you work for the company. ALL of their positive social media reviews are fake profiles, they delete customers who complain on their social media and then they sent me 24" clip in extensions, which I bought two sets... IT WAS FAKE HAIR. They charged 159.99 for one and 149.99 for the other (two purchases within one day).
I was losing a ton of hair after having my daughter so I was trying to have my hair back to as close to normal before the holidays.
I tried to curl the hair and it STRAIGHT MELTED... the company responded and said real hair can "singe" this MELTED and turned into a ink like substance (plastic) smearing on my curler and getting stuck to it. I have the videos and pictures of this happening. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM, THEY ARE A SCAM AND WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOU.
Its too bad I couldnt add my video on here for everyone to see but trust me...
This hair went bad after 2 washes. Spent $250 and so damn disappointed Will not purchase again! I even purchased their brush, shampoo and conditioner to maintain it and it doesn't help
Waited weeks for delivery no hair for Xmas ordered well in advance they couldn't care less. Use review sites that you can't review unless it's perfect for them very deceiving. Don't trust!@
I have waited why to long for the hair has taken forever to come the customer service was absolutely horrible all I got was $#*!ing robots they have no phone number to call and once I finally thought the package had come nope it was a thing saying I needed to go pick it up from a post office and pay 70$ for something I already paid over 400$ For this is absolute bull$#*! DO NOT BUY!
I paid extra for express shipping and my order still took 5 days to arrive. Now I've received my order refund and they refunded me $30 less of my original amount, this company is a joke
Two weeks after buying the longest length they offer it was shedding crazy and tangling don't buy!b they didn't even wanna offer a full refund

They send horrible quality products for twice as much as other better companies. They don't take returns or exchanges. Do not trust their color matching or pictures!
So I'm a hairdresser and some of my clients recommended this place to buy extensions. Little did I know that is company does false advertising and would blame everything on you and not take responsibility for anything. I ordered number 6/60 this was meant to be a natural level 6 and instead when I got them they were a level 8. Now this was not my problem, this was their advertising. Look carefully at the photos you will see they look a very light natural brown not blonde. Their "models" that are advertised also are the wrong colour. Extremely bad customer service. They did not give my money back or do anything. They are good quality extentions but I don't recommend getting them as tape ins. The tape in are known to slip but honestly thats every extention if the client does not look after them. Let's just say next time please buy your extension from your hairdressers or from superior hair. Do not support this company please support a company that has good service and is good quality. I will never buy from here again. False advertising is against the law and still they get away with it.
I've used hair extensions for 15 years. I was reluctant to try Zala but did anyway, HUGE mistake. After the first wash, the texture completely changed. After about 3 weeks the hair was matting like nothing I have ever experienced. I tried everything to soften them, just to get at least a few months out of them. After a month, the hair was matting to the point I couldn't brush it, the breakage was leaving trails of hair everywhere I went (very embarrassing". I had the removed and my hair dresser said my natural hair had breakage/damage from the hair extensions matting around my natural hair, and the brushing was tugging at the root. I contact zala and they refused to give me my money back. Please girls, go to Bellami, Donnabella or JZStyles for extensions. Trust me.
I purchased Zala based off good reviews and my goodness what a waste of $300+ first time I washed them they looked stupidly synthetic. I reached out to the company explained my disappointment and all they could do was send a hair mask which did not help at all. I went to my hairdresser and she had taken them out and my hair was so damaged and broken by them I was in utter shock this was shortly after I got them put in too. I've had tape in hair extensions from when I was 16 with the obvious breaks in between and I've NEVER had damage from the prior brands I used. Fair to say I will never be ordering from Zala again and will definitely not be referring Zala to anyone. Disappointed and so upset because my hair is my confidence like many others. Pictured below is the hair extensions after one wash with their shampoo and conditioner and the other is the damage it has caused. I use regular treatments to keep my natural hair as healthy as possible and my hairdresser also ensures I do too every time I go back I leave with a product to make sure my hair stays healthy and strong so when I had them removed I was utterly upset to see the damage they had caused. (My hair has also not been redone since I went to blonde incase people think the damage is because of that when it isn't).
I spent $200 on the platinum blonde clip in extensions and I even paid for the 2 day shipping and they never arrived. Customer service is no help.
We are very sorry to hear that the order you paid for didn't arrive as expected. Our team would be happy to still look into this for you so could you kindly reach us at support@zalahair.com? You may screenshot this conversation to ensure prompt assistance. Thank you! X
I purchased a clip in pony tail extension prior to doing any research on this company, BIG MISTAKE! When it arrived, I was furious. It clearly was a pony tail someone else had returned. The box was damaged, there were random pieces of blonde hair in the package, and lint stuck to the velcro. Other than that, the stitching was barely holding together. There was a long piece of green string attached in the pony tail. The hair is super thin and won't even cover my thin natural pony tail. Overall, it was a very cheap product for a really high price. I reached out to the company and they offered for me to send it back and either have a credit or get a different one. They would not allow me to just send it back and get my money back. That alone shows that the company knows they have a bad product. I decided I definitely wasn't going to waste the time mailing it back because I already knew (due to reading other reviews) that regardless if the hair is in brand new condition or not, they will claim it's used. If it's considered used, no credit or exchange. I would consider myself lucky if I even got to that point since the majority of the time they claim you never sent it back and then you're just out of your money and hair. Please don't make the same mistake I made, do your homework and go with a reputable company!
I like the quality of the hair and they blend beautifully. I received so many compliments. Color match was perfect. It was a great first shopping experience.
I am extremely unsatisfied with the quality and customer service of zala hair.
I washed the hair once with extension shampoo and conditioner. And felt like the ends had been burnt. When I use my hair straightener on 100 it could smell burning. I've been hairdressing 15 and never come across extensions that do this besides synthetic hair?
So I approached zala to let them know of the poor hair quality, as it could just be the batch of hair. I've had extension from zala before with no drama until this batch.
During my complaint process I was asked a series of questions. One asking me for batch date. I had a look at the batch tag and
Has manufactured 2017!
I was advised by zala that they do not stock or make champagne extension in wefts on the 6th April 2020 ( proof by screenshot)
When they advertise wefts in champagne a few months ago make a purchase for champagne blonde.
So the hair they sent me was manufactured in 2017 when champagne blonde was not even made!
Long story short they sent me any blonde tone from 2017 batch which was poor quality and felt synthetic and looked burnt
The outcome that zala hair gave me was a 50% off for another Purchase
Should they give me my money back for faulty product?
For new batch or correct tone?
They also tried to lie and say it was the one even if they didn't manufacture that tone in 2017 on this year 2020?
Please be advised that if you want to speak to someone from zala they do no not a phone number
Well upon receiving my 22 inch tape ins I immediately noticed how thin they were compared to even the Amazon brands Ive used. After only 2 washes with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner meant just for extensions. Goal Lengths. It was so dry. My tabs are curling up and sticking out of my natural hair. When I straighten it to tame the tabs down my hair becomes straight and the extensions do not. They are terrible to touch and no matter how much oil I put on them I cannot tame the ends they are literally scratching my skin. I contacted customer service about the tabs they offered to send replacement tape but I'm not removing them just to reinstall dry straw extensions. I've deep conditioned every other day without shampooing. Nothing puts a dent in the dryness. They won't curl they won't straighten. I just broke down and ordered full shine from Amazon after only 3 weeks of misery with these dreadful extensions. The cuticle test failed telling me that these are not remy hair. They are not aligned. If they are real remy hair they would at least straighten and they do not. Do not waste your money. These extensions are a scam. Waste of money and time. Straw/fake hair/won't style and the ends are not even splitting as dry as they are. Hmmmmm horrible take away of $450 from Zala.
Zala has a rating of 1.4 stars from 109 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zala most frequently mention customer service, high quality and human remy. Zala ranks 274th among Hair Extensions sites.
Thanks for the feedback, Alexandra. We are sorry to provide this kind of experience to you.
At ZALA we take our hair quality seriously and would not sell human hair under false pretenses. All our 100% Human Remy Hair extensions are inspected and required to pass extensive quality control and testing. This certifies that our extensions are 100% human hair and are not synthetic.
We would love to look into the matter further therefore, please send us an email at support@zalahair.com. You can also try sending a screenshot of this conversation so we can get back to you right away. Thank you!
