Poor Quality
July 26, 2022

PROCEED WITH CAUTION! I have worn hair extensions for over 20 years. I've tried it all, human & synthetic from fusion, to sew in to tape in & beyond. I starting using zala invisi-tape hair extensions in March 2021 & placed an additional 4-5 orders within 2021. I was super impressed with the quality of the hair. Silky smooth & shiny. Fast forward to my February 2022 order. I knew within a week something had changed. The hair quickly became dull, knotting & shedding. I reached out to customer service, through chat because you can't actually speak with anyone on the phone. I sent them photos of my hair & they told me "nothing had changed & I must not be taking care of them correctly." Unbelievable considering the amount of time I've worn extensions & I had never had this issue before with zala. Nothing changed with my products or styling tools. After several back & forth messages, they finally sent me their hydrating mask to supposedly "revive" the hair. I knew the hair wasn't going to come back, but I entertained the mask, nothing happened of course. I reached out again & they absolutely were not accepting any accountability whatsoever. I had a back-up pack of their invisi-tapes, so I had my hairdresser change them out thinking maybe I got a bad batch of hair. NOPE, same thing happened. Zala FINALLY agreed to give me a store credit so I purchased another pack of hair (glutton for punishment, I know) I've had this current hair for 4 days. I haven't even shampooed it yet & it's already getting frizzy & unmanageable. I am certain the hair manufacturer changed & the quality of the product is no longer what it was. BUYER BEWARE

Zala pay people to place good reviews, they remove bad reviews and ignore your concerns. Wish I'd known before I purchased... still waiting for my refund.

Purchased Champagne Blonde and I immediately took them out of the box and could feel the silicone on them and thought that was unusual to begin with because they felt like synthetic.

I needed to tone them as it was advised because it's real hair you could do this. I used Directions hair toner in Silver which is a stain dye so there's no damage to the hair, it is a stain like a purple shampoo so it DOES NOT alter the fibers of the hair or lighten/darken it. Applied that, left it on for 10 minutes, rinsed it gave it a condition, and whatever was coated on the hair prior is now gone and the hairs left feeling very weak and brittle it's already started breaking off from the weft/clips. The toner looked patchy and this is a red flag to me that the hair is NOT 100% Human hair.

It's not an acceptable amount to have spent on extensions this fragile after only one wash. You can see from the photos there's synthetic and string strands through the hair. It's NOT 100% human hair.

I told Zala CS and they essentially accused me of dying the extension using a chemical product. I even said prior that I used a stain dye which DOES NOT penetrate the hair shaft and it's not drying, it acts basically the same as a purple shampoo. The extensions are appalling, I cannot use them, the ends are brittle and split, frizzy and unmanageable. THIS IS NOT THE RESULT of my doing, and I find it quite insulting that Zala continued to deny my concerns by sending me generic templated email responses. The hair was ALREADY damaged and they try to cover it with whatever coating they put on it to make it feel synthetic. Highly advise you DO NOT purchase from them.

Worst extensions I've ever bought
May 7, 2022

Umm I think any good review or decent photo of the hair is all fake and probably written by people who are part of this scam, laughing as we blindly keep buying… they are so heavily advertised but have hardly any comments on their IG… the only honest reviews I've found are on this website and YouTube. I ordered a halo hair piece within Australia with supposed "2 business day" postage which actually took 2 weeks after emailing them a couple of times. When the hair arrives, you can't return it if you've "broken the seal", but that's the only time it looks ok. As soon as you put them in your hair they tangle and bunch up into dreadlock-like separating pieces. U could brush them 10 times in one day and it wouldn't make a difference, in fact it tangles your own hair underneath it too. My damaged hair doesn't even do that and is easier to brush. I've used no heat on them, and washed them only with the products included after only one wear to see if that would help. Nup. Even a detangling spray doesn't detangle anything, just makes the hair oily leading to no choice but another wash. The hair has a distinct smell and it has to be synthetic or at least mixed with synthetic hair that must have some sort of heat-resistant coating, if people are using straighteners on them or whatever. There's shiny strands throughout that are really obviously not real hair. I'm so mad that I paid 200+ for these "100% human hair" phoney extensions. I'm gentle with them and the part that you hook the string onto just broke out of nowhere too. Most of all though, the quality is just bs and I highly doubt this is real hair… couldn't imagine getting something permanent like tapes with this wicked witch of the west-type mop. Biggest scam ever. Who tf allows this and why hasn't anyone ran tests on the hair and exposed them yet?!

SCAMMERS!
April 1, 2021

I have been purchasing Zala extensions for years. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on their extensions. The last couple of times I have ordered from them have been terrible. I got a partial refund for a really crummy set they sent me last year and I thought maybe it was just a fluke. I decided to order another set, because they are one of the only companies who have Afterpay and I had some zaladollars. I had INSTANT regret when I received them. They are SO thin, even though I ordered the thickest set they have. They are also NOT human hair. I am a hair extension connoisseur and I know fake hair when I see it. It's almost like a synthetic wig. It has that unmistakable shine that fake hair has. It is thin from the top to the bottom and they have made the wefts skinnier too. I wrote them an e-mail to complain and they said that it's their "new design." What a HORRBILE design. I wish I could give it 0 stars. All they offered me was a 10 percent off discount on my next purchase. There will be NO next purchase. I can get more than 10 percent off just with my zala bucks. This company is a scam and a joke and I wouldn't be surprised if they just got their hair from cheap amazon stores and then upsold them for 1,000 percent profit, because that's exactly what it seems like. I will be telling my entire following about this. I have also attempted to tone previous sets that I have gotten and they WILL NOT hold colour. Do not waste your time. THEY ARE NOT HUMAN HAIR! Don't let these scammers get you! Most of the positive reviews are bots or people that know nothing about extensions.
You can see in the photograph the difference between the quality. The old one is the wider one and they were much thicker and more durable. The new ones are the skinny, barely sewn together ones. Terrible.
