Zager Guitars

I ordered a Parlor E model as a comfortable option to play at home and write on. For the price, this is an incredible guitar- I have a similarly sized model from a competitor and the Zager has a deeper, more resonant sound. Now, this IS a parlor guitar, so I'm not expecting it to be the equal of my full size acoustics, but it plays beautifully (came set up perfectly) and looks gorgeous in the gloss finish over mahogany. The included case includes a hygrometer to keep an eye on the guitar's health, and (although they haven't arrived yet) there were a bunch of extras included with the purchase. The guitar arrived safely packaged, in a timely fashion. With free return shipping - who else does that?! - I absolutely encourage you to give Zager a try next time you're looking for an acoustic. Hoping to get a larger one down the road as well, possibly the cedar topped model OM size.

I initially had a issue receiving all my items from Zager Guitars. I'm not much of a guitar player even though I have been playing since I was in high school. Now I am 68 years old, retired, and decided to see if I could still play a little. So I purchased a Zager Easy Play guitar last spring. I never imagined how much fun it would be to have a good instrument around to play anytime I wanted. Having a great guitar does not necessarily make one a great guitar player but it sure makes it a lot of fun! The people at Zager have all been so good to work with and the ongoing encouragement and support keeps me going back to try some new tricks.

I just received my ZAD80 and all I can say is WOW! Such a beautiful guitar, smooth and easy to play, and the sound is unmatched. You will not be getting this guitar back unless you pry it from my cold dead fingers! I currently have a Taylor 810 CE (2006) an Alvarez Yairi DY-45 (1976) and I have had several other high end guitars over the years. This guitar literally is in a class all by itself. Lincoln Nebraska? Yea right, this guitar was made in HEAVEN!
Please tell Dennis and Dennis Jr. How much I appreciate the quality of this guitar and especially the quality of the team of people they have assembled. You guys are the best!

I ordered the Tobacco Sunburst Zager 900CE with intent of playing it, then most likely returning it for full refund. I received it, and played it. A lot. That was in November 2022. I didn't return it and I believe this will be the last guitar I buy. Ever.

This guitar is the best i've ever played... it is easier to play in every way... If you don't believe me. Please think about this... I have only played 5 years with little help... I recently started taking lessons from a player who has played 58 years... yes 58 years... he is the best guitar player I have ever heard... I let him play my Zager 900 E... he said he has played Taylors, Martins, Gibsons... all high end guitars. And he said my Zager out plays them all... he said the playability, sound, action and everything else is superior to the guitars he has played... so if you don't believe a rookie like myself you can believe a 58 year Professional player

My father is keen on playing the guitar and recently the one he was using for a very long time got broken, casually. He was disappointed, for real.
I decided to buy him a new one, fortunately I knew what model of the guitar he had and here I found exactly what I needed. It was ZAD 80 series which I found here and even managed to compare it with others. I thought of gifting him a better guitar, but eventually opted for the one he had.

I've had a ZAD80CE for several years that I purchased directly from Zager. The pickup was giving me an issue when volume was adjusted. Contacted Zager and without the need to jump thru hoops and go round and round they immediately responded and sent me a new Fishman pickup. Guitar sounds great once again. Had my zad900ce since January of 2017. Their is no doubt in my mind I made the right decision. I work in a studio and it's my goto acoustic. I have several others all really nice. However, the 900ce performs well for everything. It's never gone out of whack where I couldn't adjust it myself. Sounds superb mic'd and direct lined. I prefer mic'd. I have nothing negative to report after nearly 6 years. I'll report back in another 4...

After experiencing the personal attention to my questions, before buying, I am now moved by the integrity of this solid built guitar. The action is better than my Alvarez guitars. I find more comfort in forming chords with less fret buzz and/or finger crowding. It feels a tad different, but I attribute that to years of using other guitars, often with their challenges. String height adjustment is possible, the craftmanship is top notch, having received improved bracing, as Denny Zager noted. The sound w/out amplification is deep & warm. All in all, I consider this my last 'main' guitar, and it has so far proven itself!

I don't have enough adjectives to describe this sweet guitar. I own 3 other acoustics - all fine instruments. Whether it is the neck structure or the string quality on this Parlor Zager - it really is easier to play for longer. After first time practicing with it; I can say it fits me better than anything I've picked up. Beautiful deep earthy sound. The sustain lasts a few nanoseconds longer than my other guitars... it fades rather than drops. So chord changes sounds smoother. Very, very happy.

This is by far one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I have a 1965 Martin D-18, a 1973 Taylor 618 and now an absolutely stunning Johnny Cash 800 Series Zager. It plays amazing, the craftsmanship is impeccable, and it sound ( in my opinion) better that my two iconic guitars. It sounds bright, big, warm and full... You will LOVE This instrument. If you're contemplating don't. I've been playing guitar now for over 50 years and you will not be disappointed!

After many years of having put the guitar down, I decided the time had come to pick it back up again.
So after much research, I chose

What an amazing choice. It is so beautiful in it's look and sound. I could have chosen any brand, style, etc. But the design really does make it Easy To Play.
Now, I cannot wait to knock the rust off & get back to being a guitar player.

He said no problem he will send me a new 2021 electronics. He will send me a return label for the old electronics. Dennis Sr. And Dennis Jr. Are so driven on customer service. That is why I will always buy Zager Guitars. They do everything they can to help the customers. Great people and staff treat you like family.

Zager guitar is true to its advertisement of it being a easy-play guitar. I can practice and pray longer now for sure.

Not only the guitar has the personal touches from the Zager father and son while it is being made, but their customer service also is full of understanding and being very supportive timely.

I have since purchased another of their Zager guitars for my son. The look on his face when he first played it is simply priceless.
