I REQUESTED TO HAVE MY MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED AND IT WAS NOT. I WAS TOLD IT WAS ON FREEZE. I DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO COME TO THE FACILITY, SINCE WE HAVE COVID-19 TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP. PLUS I WAS CHARGE AN ANNUAL FEE AND I AM NOT USING THE FACILITY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Ordered a trainer during a free flash sell. All I had to do is pay for shipping. That was a month ago. No connect whatsoever from the company.
I was ready to sign up this morning at North Bay Shopping Center (corner of Racetrack & Tampa Rd). I asked to see an exemplar cancellation form first, since I was leery of the in-person cancellation requirement. Wanted to know what the catch was. (Hidden fees?). The Assistant General Manager told me that the only way I could review the "Notice of Cancellation" form that I'd be required to use to effect cancellation was for me to become an active member, then cancel. I was told that no exemplar paper forms were available, nor does the website contain any. Suspicious to say the least, particularly in light of YouFit's history of anti-consumer cancellation practices and its prior agreement, with the Attorney General of Florida, to make such forms available. See AVC, Paragraph 9, "YOU FIT will clearly, conspicuously, accurately, and completely disclose on its website, all conditions, procedures, requirements, fees, notices, policies AND FORMS necessary for consumers to cancel their YOU FIT membership pursuant to the YOU FIT written cancellation policy..." I want to preface this review with the fact that I have been a corporate gym manager for a total of 3 years, hold a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Exercise Science, and have spent the last 10 years of my career employed by commercial gyms. This is without question the worst experience I have had both as a manager and as a member.
I have been trying to cancel my membership since the Covid-19 lockdown, and have attempted at least 5 times. During the lockdown, the business was closed so I could not reach anybody to speak to, but was charged for 2 months when the doors weren't even open. Since that point, I have spoken to managers on 5 separate occasions, with varying results.
I have received answers varying from "your account has been successfully closed" to "we don't allow this over the phone" to "we accept email cancellations" to "you have never tried to close your account." Bottom line, I have never gotten the same answer twice. I am now being told to take the matter up with corporate, from whom I have yet to receive a response. I have never written a negative review about a company, but this was something special.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT do business with YouFit unless you want to be charged for YEARS after attempted cancellation.
Equipment is terribly maintained
The billing is awful, they keep deleting your payment and charging late fees

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! If you're considering it, you might want to read my experience first. In july 2022 I joined the North providence RI location because the rest of my family members work out here. In January 2023, I was in a terrible ski accident which caused a life-threatening injury. I was in and out of hospitals for three months. Immediately after the accident I contacted Youfit to tell them I needed to put my membership on hold. The front desk man told me it was no problem. The next thing I know, while in the hospital fighting for my life, I started receiving phone calls from a credit collections agency. You Fit had reported me to collections! Causing my credit score to plummet. No phone call, no email, no attempt at any communications. No concern for my well-being.
I managed to get Shannon, the manager for the North Providence location, on the phone one time, and she told me that she had reached out to me requesting medical records. I went through every email and every phone call and there was zero attempt at any communications from her. She was clearly lying. I now have been trying for weeks to resolve this, I provided medical records to Shannon as she requested.I have yet to receive any communication from her, there's been no resolution, and my credit score continues to drop. I am an investor and this has affected my ability to provide for my family. I continue to stop in the location, call, leave emails, and still no response from Shannon. No attempt to fix this while I continue to fight for my life and heal from my injuries. I'm still unable to walk from this and Shannon's inability to do her job has been a huge detriment to my recovery due to the stress it's causing me. These people don't care about you, they will have no problem taking your money, but God forbid you ever have any issues they will destroy your credit, and really don't care if you live, or die. Additionally, yesterday, when I went in to wait for my boys to work out, the front desk girl would not let me enter the building and forced me to sit on the bench by the door in the hot sun. It was a 92° day. I am on crutches, and she continued to be extremely rude to me. My membership is currently on hold because I still can't walk, and if you can believe it, she would not let me pass the front desk not even to use the bathroom!. I had to sit in the hot sun for 45 minutes until my boys were done working out.
Additionally, this front desk employee promised me Shannon would be in in the afternoon and would call me. And as expected, i never heard anything. These people have destroyed my credit and do not care that my entire family has been working out here for years. The treatment is horrible, the employees just don't care about anybody and are extremely rude. And they will destroy your credit and do nothing to resolve it.
New manager Kevin is attempting to clean up this location. He has a long way to go and could use some help. It's been atrocious for a long time.
They increase your bill without informing you and then they say its your problem. The worse customer service ever I cancelled my account

My name is Rosemary Carmona and I have been a YouFit member for the last year and a half. While I really enjoy my time in the gym, I would say that there are a few things that as a paying member have disappointed me. But I would say that YouFit at the following location does not provide its members with the best possible service, 8301 W Atlantic Blvd, Coral Springs, FL *******.
My biggest concern would be how unhygienic the bathrooms are, her are a few examples:
Fecal matter on or in toilets that have been there for a while
Piss on the floor
Sinks dirty
Here are some other complaints:
On many occasions they do not open at 5 am and make us wait or leave, depending on how late they arrive
The floor looks like it has never been swept or mopped
The weights are not grouped and finding the desired weight is not always easy.
There are not enough paper towels.
Not enough sanitizing solution
THIS GYM IS VERY DISGUSTING.

In July 2022 my trainer Kevin started going back to school and it

I cancelled my membership In JUNE and a employee by the name "BEATRICE ALVEREZ" by the way a new employee at that time (WHO IS NOW FIRE) did not properly SUBMIT the CANCELLATION, somehow you fit considered it to be my fault. When I found out they were still taking money out of my account, I contacted YOUFIT IN HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA... OAKWOOD PLAZA LOCATION, and spoke to "THOMAS" "MANAGER" he was no help, after investigating ways to get my REFUND, he continued to be RUDE, CONDESCENDING & OBNOXIOUS. He wouldn't even give me the CORPORATE OFFICE INFORMATION OR GM FOR THAT DISTRICT (by the way THERE IS NO CORPORATE OFFICE) Well to make matters worse I found out that I'm not the only person getting RIPPED OFF... this company was set up to RIP PEOPLE OFF. While surfing the INTERNET trying to find a CORPORATE OFFICE, I find 100's of reviews of DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS. I signed up with my girlfriend in March and was only able to use the gym 1 or 2 times before the Corona virus hit and the gym shut down. I find it very frustrating that in the middle of a pandemic I was forced to manually freeze my account because I was still being charged for a service that I could not use because it was unavailable due to quarantine.
I manually froze my account, but later found that my account was automatically unfrozen without my permission when my location reopened. I was never called and told that the location was open or that my account would be unfrozen. With the number of cases in Florida steadily rising after the quarantine ended I was not about to go back to the gym and I was appalled to find that my account had been unfrozen without me requesting so. A couple of weeks ago I went into my local youfit to cancel my subscription because there was a charge of $53 on my account even though I had not authorized the unfreezing of my account nor had I been to the gym. They told me I could not cancel my subscription because I had made it with a another person even though it was my bank account that was being charged. They told me to come back with the other person and they would cancel it for me.
I went back today to cancel my account because even though I had already expressed that I would be canceling my account and that I had not used your facilities at all since March I was charged a yearly subscription fee as well as a monthly subscription fee. This is outrageous and I demand a refund.
I refuse to pay over $100 for a service that I am unable to utilize due to a global pandemic which is out of my control.
I have called, emailed, tweeted, and facebook messaged Youfit corporate with no response. My local Youfit has told me they will not refund my money.
I didn't have a problem with the place while I was going to the gym; I mostly showed up and did my own thing. Equipment was nice and well cared for, staff was friendly enough. But as soon as I went to cancel there were problems. First the gyms closed down due to the Covid-19 virus, this started in late Feb-early March. The gym insists that you have to cancel in person, even though all the gyms were closed. I tried to call over the phone, couldn't get anyone to talk to. Made multiple attempts to cancel and nothing. Finally was able to speak with someone who 100% told me "your account was successfully closed." Thought that was the end of it. Fast forward 6 months, I moved to a different state, no Youfit clubs within 1000 miles. They start sending me past due notices over the phone, keep in mind they've had my phone number the whole time. I called in to talk to someone who said that I owed them $100 for July-Sept. If my account was pasted due they could have called me in April, or May or June, or July, or August. But I first heard that I owe them money was in Sept. I canceled in March! So the person very rudely says that they never received the cancelation fee. Now I shouldn't owe a cancelation fee because my gym membership was a trail, I was only a member for 4-5 weeks before the Covid-19 closures. So why do I all of a sudden owe this money? I tried to explain, tried to argue but you know how these people are. So next she threatens me, she tell me she is going to send this a debt collector. Threatens my credit, and threatens legal action. I'm really not happy about how I was treated.
Long story short, the workout equipment is pretty standard, but the customer service is awful. I'd advise you to stay away.

I took a personal trainer for three months. At the time for my last session, my trainer ask my for renewal and I said no. She told me no action required. Then, the charge was in my credit card, and I ask for refurnd. They told me it was my fault b/c I did not cancel in the front desk. NO BODY TOLD ME I HAD TO DO IT IN THIS WAY AND THE TRAINER SAID NO ACTION REQIRED. The manayer "Many" affer me in compessation for the mistake, some persoanl traning sesions, and sign inmediately FOR NOT FURHTER CHARGES. BUT GUESS WHAT? They cgarged me again!. And said so sorry. We cannot do nothing. So, bottom line they STOLE MY MONEY. I have proofs of all. It happened in YouFit University and Golderod
Answer: Youfit rips people off. I've been consistently charged $21 to my account despite the company's closure as a result of Covid. All attempts to cancel my subscription was ignored and not considered. If this is not fraud, then I don't know what it is.
