The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily concerning its review management practices and aggressive advertising tactics. Many users express frustration over hidden reviews, perceived extortion for advertising, and a lack of genuine customer support. Positive aspects are scarce, with some customers appreciating the platform's potential for connecting with local businesses. However, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a distrust in the company's ethics and practices, leading to calls for accountability and transparency. Overall, the feedback indicates a critical need for Yelp to address these serious concerns to rebuild trust among its users.

Yelp does not allow businesses to remove their listing so they can pressure other businesses to pay for advertising in competition with all of these "ghost" companies. A large percentage of the businesses on Yelp even no longer exist.
Just a money grab. Check out the thousands of complaints in better business bureau. Stay far away from Yelp.
It took me 3 months of trying to stop advertising with yelp. Asking to refund the date I asked them to stop. Meanwhile still trying to charge me. All for them to come back and say they will just waive the months I've been asking it to stop. No refund. It's more of a scam
RUN! RUN! RUN! Their app is useless. The app doesn't show everything. I was keeping up with the ads on my app. After 2 month I found put that I have charges that I didn't see in the app at all. You ask for a refund and they want to give you a credit. I ask to remove my credit card from the file and they said after they charge me they will remove it. DON"T GIVE THEM YOUR CRDIT CARD! You can't take it off. They are not correct with you. They have hidden fees that they don't show to you. You will just see them on you credit card. You should be able to see the fees before. NOT WITH YELP! JUST RUN! Customer services are not specialists. They don't know how to help you and they blame it on the businesses. JUST RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
Will hide positive reviews unless you buy into their marketing plan. Won't remove fake reviews. Non stop sales calls to the point they will call multiple times a day.
YELP is a Complete scum organization. They try to extort business owners by posting BAD REVIEWS, while hiding the good ones. They will also call/contact you continuously, to the point of harrassment, trying to sell YELP advertising to you. This scum company should be avoided at all costs. Trust me on this one everyone.
A terrible site full of fake and paid-for reviews. You cannot trust anything you read on YELP! They use their algorithms to plant the "best" reviews. Businesses cant remove their listings and are held to ransom by their one sided content policy, anyone can write a review whether they used the business or not.
Canceled service was told I had $100 deposit would send my refund received a bill for $79.99 said past due for December I canceled on December17th and turned in equipment got letter yesterday called told me representative on phone was wrong no deposit asked what I wanted from them said cancel out this bill, he said they couldn't because no way to verify deposit so, I have. To pay it very upset because now I lose my deposit and have to pay like 80 bucks. Nothing but scam artists, not to mention service sucks..
Don't claim you business on Yelp. They will pester you to advertise. It's like the old Brooklyn window glass racket. Pay for their security and your glass won't get broken.
Yelp empowers intermerate people who will viciously try to damage your business for a violation of their own self-importance. Yelp inconsistently applies their own TOS and blatantly allows libel on their site. They hide behind the constitution to promote this.
Theirs is an interesting business model. They need ads but allow mostly unfair trash to be published about their prospective customers. If they cleaned up their act, this might be a useful service. Most consumers know Yelp reviews are mainly bogus and over the top. It is no surprise that no company has bought this lame company that provides no social benefit. I wish they would crash on their own hubris and shut down.
Talked to 2 seperate representatives that were trained to deflect and kept saying that it helped my business and that it obviously did not. Signed up for "free ad" with a credit of 450$ beginning december by mid december I called and canceled any "free" program which they said they did document, but still failed to address me that there would be a charge for this program, I did not even set up my business page and I still got charged PER day! $30.00 and $4.00 for what? No help at all, was put on hold, talked to another person and they said they will call me back. Still nothing. Do not sign up for anything free. Save yourself time and money.
Despite having purchased a great deal in the past, it is clear they are too big for their britches. I ordered gifts this year on December 6 and here a month later they are still not here, the worst part is I talked or chatted to at least 10 different "customer dis- service" people and no one would answer questions or help. One just kept saying what great gifts these were -- well they were terrible because none of them were here. I ordered similar products via Amazon, they are every bit as good, less money and got customized and to my house in less than a week. Never again, don't do it, you will regret it. I certainly did
I bought crocs for my boyfriend for Christmas and when I called cause I did not know my order number the customer service representative was less than friendly. On top of that... it is just after Christmas and I am past my return time frame so they will not take them back.
My husband and I think we are great cooks but we're getting older. We ordered the Christmas Turkey Dinner for four from A, J's Fine Foods. It came with all the trimmings and the portions were very generous. We had leftovers for days. It was easy to place the order, it was ready for pick up at the time we were given. The whole process exceeded expectations. We've been disappointed when our favorite resturants have let us done on Holdiays. Hurrah for A. J.'s, we got great service and great food! We'll be ordering again.
I got my Mercedes Benz detailing done from here. It was an excellent and amazing experience. My car now looks like a new car and the work done was highly satisfying. He charged very reasonable rate. If you need detailing or tinting, it is the best option to go to Norco Auto Detailing and Tint. Javed
It's not even a business - another fraud machine created by... you know who...
We never created Yelp account for my small business - someone did and left 3 negative and absolutely irrelevant reviews. That's all we have - 3 negative reviews. Tens of thousands of happy customers - but Yelp is showing us as a evil company with 3 negative feedbacks and those did not come form our customers.
Now try leaving your review about Yelp - let's say on Google - you simply cannot.
We consumers should have equal rights to review all the businesses - you would think you can, but apparently not for the "saint" Yelp, Facebook, Twitter and other commie party propaganda outlets.
Equality? Fair reviews? Forget about it.
It is common knowledge at this point that Yelp uses questionable methods to get companies to "sign up" and yet those that do are not displayed correctly within the search format provided by Yelp. Example, I searched a category of food service provider and a zip code in particular. The search results by yelp provided several locations that were outside the zip code requested. (All these sites were paid yelp customers) and the only food service in that zip code was listed in fifth place. Odd considering it was the only one in that zip code. Oh, they also refused to sign up for Yelp service when they got a great review and were contacted by Yelp to use them. After that, they don't even show up on Yelp. Is this not interfering with free trade? Would it not be considered fraudulent under FTC rules? This is why I prefer Google for starters. And I am not a spokesperson, employee or paid by them in any form whatsoever. Just an honest review of a company that manipulates the facts if you agree to pay them and Lord help those honest businesses that refuse to join them.
DOOR DASH IS DRIVING UP PRICES AND THE SERVICE IS VERY POOR FROM MY EXPERIENCE. NO SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AVALIABLE FOR MY ORDERS.
I HAVE SKIPPED MANY PLACES I WAS GOING TO ORDER BECAUSE OF DOOR DASH CONTROLED. THE BUSINESS PLACES ARE ACUALLY LOSING WORKING WITH THIS TYPE COMPANY!
This restaurant manager and some employees have the worst attitude. Ive witnessed the evening manager talk to employees disrespectful. This no way to be an example for the other employees... this is maybe why the have such bad attitudes. I will not be coming back
As long as you have great things to say about a business, or maybe rate a business as average with some positive things, yelp will allow the review. When you post an honest review and say only negative things, they remove an honest negative review. You can't be honest on yelp. Better to use google reviews where you can be honest with the bad stuff.
I online booked a economy flight on Cheap0air site. I was told that I would get a full refund of I needed to cancel, when I called to cancel I was told that there would be a 30 dollar charge for cancelling and that I needed to book by Dec31/2021 in order to use my credits. I went to book a flight today and was to told that the information they had on file was that I booked a cabin, which is definitively not true and that it would cost me another &107.00. I have been booking flights through Cheap0air since 2017 unfortunately first time needed to cancel so finding out I have been lied to all along. I asked to speak to a supervisor have been on hold for 2 hours. Will update this review of and when I get to speak to a supervisor.
First time using them a year ago spent $324 in a month and I had 6 leads I did business with one and it was a wash on face value but lost money because of operational costs. From there quit the ads and stuff of that level the next winter I talked with another yelp person and said geez they dropped the ball we're sorry and said they gave me a $300 dollar credit and that will be on my account. I said ok I will see what happens with the $300 dollar credit and the parameters he is setting up for me. As three weeks go by I don't receive any leads or site clicks from yelp... I ask hey what is going on and how can I help with pictures, words, or anything because nothing is happening? First words out of a lady's mouth O You were supposed to do all of that yourself because you're not paying for it... I said then what am I being charged for? O you have the photo package, to list package, and another package I forgot she said because I never talked with the sales guy about it. O and on top of all of that, the credit for $300 doesn't go into effect until I spend $450 which was never said. I cut my losses and going forward I will make it my personal mission to tell people I know to never throw money at this company.
