I tried to buy an item to pick up in-store and placed my order but turned out their inventory wasn't accurate so then I ended up ordering it online. However, it was taking forever (over 10 business days), then the tracking stopped for 5 business days so I requested a refund. I received an e-mail that I would be receiving a refund within 3-5 days. I e-mailed to ask where the refund was and then they said that the tracking was subsequently updated and that it arrived. I never got the package. Contrary to what they said previously, they said that NO refund would be issued even if the package was never delivered and that it was up to me to file a police report for this $15 item. I asked why they didn't contact the courier and figure it out with them, and why I needed to waste my time filing a police report when this wasn't my fault. I will never order from them again.
I placed an order online. It was supposed to arrive in about 10 days. By day 15, it's still hadn't arrived and so I went online to see what was going on. On the website, I tried to find tracking information. There was none. It looked as if it had never shipped.
I contacted customer service via email. I was told that the item was on back order. No one had ever contacted me to tell me that my order wouldn't arrive on time and in fact it was unknown when it would be available. So I then I try to cancel the order.
Since then, I've been given the runaround for over a week- so far. They tell me that they actually do have it, so I ask when I'll get it. They dodge the question. I ask again. Then they said it is actually still on backorder!
Now I'm trying to cancel again. This time I called. The person I spoke with tells me, they do have it because it has a tracking number. I'm trying to explain the problem but I feel like they just aren't getting it.
I'm told that because it has a tracking number they can't cancel it. They can only put a note on it to be rerouted and once that happens it can be cancelled and I will be refunded.
But I know that tracking number is attached to NOTHING! Sure enough, I go to check my order on their website and there is no shipping information.
I have absolutely no confidence that I will get my refund smoothly. I am certain I will have to call again.
This company is NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
I ordered a bookcase, dresser and sofa. Pilot (3rd party delivery) left the bookcase and the sofa outside my residence….
I called and was told World Market didn't pay for them to bring it in my home. It was curbside. Hmmm no no it wasn't, I ordered online and paid for delivery.
I can't recommend ordering from this company nor using Pilot for Any delivery service.
Highly disappointed
Horrendous customer service! I placed an online order recently, which did not get delivered to the correct address. I contacted World Market customer support to request remediation of the problem. The response I received said they could not help me. First, they said I needed to file a case with FedEx. Second, World Market says that if FedEx cannot find my package, I have to file a stolen package report with the local police. Are you f*(#$%^ kidding me? So, I go to file my FedEx case only to find that World Market never provided the FedEx tracking number in any of the emails pertaining to my order. I could track the package delivery by clicking a Track button, but never did it show me the actual tracking number. So, I had to call World Market to get my tracking number. I was moderately hopeful when on the phone that they might offer to assist, but no such luck. I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for about 15 minutes. The same lousy guy came back on the phone and said all the phone lines were busy and would I like a call back. I agreed, because, you know, I don't have all the time in the world to be further disappointed by World Market customer support. Then, the guy says I'll get a call back in 24-48 hours! What? Who does that. Other company call backs always occur within the hour. Meanwhile, I'm surely not holding my breath that the call back will ever occur. Nor will I EVER shop at World Market again. Never, ever again. I mean the merchandise quality is pretty $#*! anyway, and certainly doesn't justify this level of hassle to correct a problem. Next time, I'll stick with Amazon for some cheap wall decor.
World market is just as what you would expect, slow and untimely, crap quality, no standards of their items. I ordered some thick stemless glasses over a week ago and they still haven't shipped out. Before that I went to the store to see what kind of things they sell. Just a disappointment all around. Lesson to self and anyone willing to listen, it is not worth doing business with this slow business.
I ordered a $16 candle. FedEx shows it delivered, but I didn't get it. I called to let WM know so it could be traced. They said the only thing I can do is call the police department and report it stolen, then send them the actual police report? What the heck? Call the police department to come to my house to report a $16 item? Are you kidding me? Seriously. FedEx can't track it, either because of the method of shipping WM uses. I'm not going to call the police department. I'm not going to waste their time, so now I'm out the $. How horrible is that? BE CAREFUL when ordering online. Know you will have to file a police report if you don't get it. What a JOKE!
While I love the daybed I purchased, the customer service left much to be desired. The box is quite large and as I attempted to figure out how to get it onto my car, the employee was extremely unhelpful. She didn't attempt to offer ideas or possible solutions. She just stood there, giving reasons why my ideas wouldn't work.
After I finally returned the next day with my son to help, another young man assisted us while she stood there. When she handed me my paperwork I said "Thank you". Her response: " "

Not bashing but i ordered a simple bottle of vinegar for pick up on Friday 1/1/2021. Waited over 2 hours to confirm pick up, no one responded. Went to store to pick up another bottle and cancelled order with cashier who said no one pulled it yet, however folks were standing around when i arrived. No one cancelled it the next day they charged my card for pickup. I called it in and the lady said no one got to it. They charged card and they have not refunded it by sending cancellation saying i changed my mind. I did not as the vinegar was 10% off curbside and i ended up driving to them to pick it up for more $$$. They need better customer service or a whole new staff.
Okay I love this place and the most of the products... I always get my delivery on time as they say and I never had a problem with returning, refunds, exchanges... the one thing that is bad is whoever they have packaging the deliveries... all my packages had no bubble wrap and everything was thrown together... in every box I ever ordered I had something broken.
That's a loss when you have someone who does care about doing their job right! But I never had any issues with customer service on the phone. I've gone into the store but had better luck ordering online in finding the products I want. In the photo below is a flimsy box which was heavy bcuz they put everything in there without any bubble wrap to secure from shifting. So I ended up with scratched up pan and a broken marble lazy Susan.
They used a cheap $#*! delivery company lost 2 of the 3 pieces of my furniture. Contacted world market they shipped one of the 2 remaining pieces fed ex. It's been over a month waiting. Never will I buy again
I bought a table a year ago and today we just realized that the wood had lumps. I paid 490 dollars for the table. Originally it was 700 dollars. I called chatted with customer service today and explained the issue. They said they couldn´t do anything since the 60 days warranty had expired. I have never seen such a poor service in my life. Do not buy dining tables there. Poor quality, expensive and worse customer service.
Problems with online orders, problems with in store pick up, problems with being overcharged - and no one at the store, or the 877 number, or the online chat had any interest in helping sort them out. There are too many other stores with comparable products and MUCH better customer service to waste time here

We ordered a Farmhouse Granger Table for our new condo in Saint Augustine. It was delivered today and Pilot shipping company would not carry it upstairs. In desperation I called Jacksonville World Market after 5 pm and James Clute drove all the way to St Augustine from Jacksonville to help us. He bought his wife to help too. He then helped my husband build it I no time at all... and left after 8 pm. Wow, what an amazing man and so was his wife Linda. World Market is blessed to have this gentleman as an employee
I ordered a chair from worldmarket.com on the 5th, for store pick up. The online experience was ok, except for the part where they said paypal refunds will be in the form of store credit. I normally pay with paypal because of convenience, but this time, I got concerned, so I used Visa.The store pick up was supposed to happen on the 10th. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an email letting me know the status of my order by the 11th. So, on the 11th, I went to the store. There, I met a lady who wasn't being super nice (as store employees normally are). When she asked for the order number, I approached her to show her my phone, but she was like, "hey you're too close, we're trying to social distance here". Not a problem, but she could have said it in a nicer way, plus if they're really keen about social distancing, why don't they install plexiglass barriers like everyone else? Anyway, she checked my order number and said it missed the truck! So, it'll take be there by the 13th. Again, no problem, I'll wait! Today, it's the 15th, so I thought I'd check online through the chat. On the chat, the person on the other side told me, the order was cancelled "on the 6th" because of low inventory! It's been 19 days, why haven't you sent me an email then letting me about the cancellation?! No response of course. So, I asked for my refund. They told me it's going to take 5-7 business days. So, I told them if it was cancelled on the 6th, surely it's been more than 7 business days. They answered to check with the store! I told them, I don't want to go to the store again, and I would rather verify online, but they said, since it's a store pick up, then I must check at the store. "I ordered online", I said, to no avail! When asked if there's anything they can help with, I asked that they send a cancellation email, which they agreed to. But, it's been several hours now, and no cancellation email has been sent (of course!), not in my inbox, not in the spam folder, nothing!
Well, while I was quite upset with my shopping experience, I felt more sad for the chat agent and the whole company. It's clear where this is all going. Bad customer service companies can't last in this economy. I'm never shopping there again!
On Aug 24 at 8:48 PM PDT, I bought the Gray Emmett 5 Piece Square Modular Sectional Sofa #KIT0057SKU. I live in Liberty Lake, WA and the estimated time for arrival was Sep 1-3. I received my order by Seko Logistics on Sep 4. AWESOME!
I had purchased the sectional for $1,284.43 (that included the 15% discount and WA tax); I then saw 3 days later that World Market had lowered the price considerably. I called customer service and it took me about 15 minutes until someone was able to answer. I explained the cost difference and they said I could on get $66 dollars back on my order (actually, I should have been quoted $266 refund). I thanked her for her time and hung up and went immediately to the website chat function, was connected almost instantly to a customer service rep, explained the situation and was quoted $266 refund for my order. Five days later I had my refund back in my account. AWESOME!
The Sectional is awesome too! Very deep and about 8 out of 10 for firmness on the seat cushions. Extra cushions for the back are awesome as well and very soft. I'm 6'4" tall and this sectional is just awesome.

Tried for two days to order and could not use the coupon they sent me. First time shopping (I'm a guy) at World. Called, no answer. Left ringing, forgot, came back about 45 min later, still ringing.
So googled reviews and this is a major hated retailer by its 'victims'.
I ordered two chaise lounges, one was delivered with a completely damaged packaging due to the shipment and handling (fedex), also the chase lounge itself was broken too. Same day, I requested to either returning both or replacing the damaged one with a new one. Also tried calling the customer service many times, every time, I waited for 15+min and got disconnected without answering my call. I didn't hear from World Market customer service till 1 month later, The lady was helpful over the phone and I was told that since it's not in stock I can't replace the order and my only choice was returning both and I will receive the fedex notification/label for the return and also need to drop off two chaises too (well, I have to rent a truck as well).
I kept checking my emails/spams but didn't receive anything from fedex after another 1.5 month. I tried to call the customer service, again waited for 10,15+ each time and got disconnected without answering my phone.
I was a World Market customer for last 3+years but this horrible experience makes me never back to World Market again.
Answer: When you are on the site, it should tell you weather it's available for shipping or in-store pickup. If not, call the 800 number, they are very helpful
