This is the most fraudulent company that I have ever dealt with. The Wordery listed a fraudulent guaranteed delivery date of December 16 on eBay. It is now December 23, and I still do not have my box set. The same box set became available again on Amazon. I ordered the box set on Sunday night from Amazon. It is less than 24 hours later, and I have received the box set from Amazon. Now, I am going through the hoops to get my money back with the assistance of eBay. I will never order from the Wordery again, and I will never use eBay again. This is not the first time I have been scammed on eBay, but I can guarantee it will be the last time! STAY AWAY FROM THE WORDERY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
So wish I'd seen these reviews before ordering from Wordery. They promised me my books within 2 to 4 days. Nothing, so I emailed them to be informed that there was a delay in leaving their premises that delivery was therefore 4 to 7 days. I'm still waiting! I emailed to say I wouldn't be using them again and had a response giving me a 10% discount on a future order - seriously? If they'd only had the decency and good business practice to have emailed me at the beginning to inform me there was a delay, I would've accepted that due to the fact that they hadn't left me to follow up and wait. And no, I won't be using that discount, there's a market full of book retailers to choose from.
As with all the reviews. They stated 7 days and take weeks.
Very unhelpful company. I ordered 19 books and they dispatched in 1s, 3's, etc I think they don't initially have the stock theyvordtendvthey do.
After 30 minutes from the order, I've requested to cancel it. There's no way to cancel an order. The policy says that you can cancel an order before it is shipped, IT'S FAKE!
I ordered an item over a week ago for a birthday present which is today 3rd August. Delivery estimated between 31st July and 2nd August. I have emailed 3 times and received a generic response saying it should be here by 8th. This is no use to me whatsoever, why take orders they cannot fulfil! I will not be using this company again and wish I had read these reviews before I did so in the first place.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered an expensive book retail price £75 and The Wordery took my order, took the money from my credit card same day, detailed delivery date and that was it for 10 days! They have no customer services telephone number and now I know why, the line would be engaged 100% of the time with complaints. The only way to contact them is by email and they take at least 48 hours to get back to you. They responded to me informing me that the book was out of stock, yet the book I ordered was still being advertised on their web page as available for next day delivery and they actually denied it! The Wordery are accepting orders and taking payment for books they do not have in stock. They are flying by the seat of their pants and an extremely untrustworthy company, the worst company I have ever experienced in many years using online ordering. I ordered the same book from Amazon who delivered exactly as promised unlike The Wordery! No wonder customers return to Amazon again and again, no hassle ordering and delivery and if by any chance there is a problem Amazon sort it out immediately. Amazon have a superb Customer Services department who listen to customers, unlike The Wordery! Will NEVER order from Wordery again!
Had to repeatedly email due to order not arriving in response I received I received standard emails not even responding to my order, was told they had none in stock but website clearly states my items was in stock and they had excepted my money as though they were in stock!! AVOID!!!
Over 2 months to receive order from a company that misleads it's customers by advertising itself as Wordery CANADA on Amazon.ca. Then I get a customs bill to top it off. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY. Zero stars!
Ordered 4 text books from Amazon Jan. 23rd. Got 3 of them by the 30th. The one from Wordery wasn't shipped until the 27th and delivered on Feb. 10th. Next year I have to buy texts for two students and it won't be from Amazon, I can't take the chance of this happening again. It's too bad since the other dealers were so dependable.
I ordered 2 books well in time for Christmas (on 4th December) My order went through and money left my account. However, over 2 weeks later nothing had arrived. I had received no cancellation email from them it was only when I re logged into the account you had to set up to order that I found they had cancelled my order with no notification. The books on order were intended to be Christmas presents. Investigation - which was hard as they do not answer emails within the time they say they do - meant I emailed every address I could find for them as they do not provide a number to call. I eventually got a response from a very pleasant lady in the wrong department - but she provided me with a contact number. Unfortunately no else I spoke to shared her manners. They were rude blaming me for providing the wrong email address, which, as I pointed out to them was a lie as they had emailed confirmation and junk emails then and still are now. They even had the cheek to say that as we have now refunded you you can buy the books else where so there is no problem. They seem to complete miss the point that receiving orders now in time for Christmas was highly unlikely despite having emailed me themselves to I quote "make sure your not disappointed - get orders in to ensure delivery of Christmas orders". Thank God for Amazon. Do not use Wordery!
I have just received my order - a copy of a 1983 novel The Elfstones of Shannara. A copy is exactly what it is. The advert led me to believe this was an original copy which is what i wanted but what i have recieved is a poorly put together copy which is almost unreadable. The cover has clearly been printed on a PC and then glued on! I paid the best part of £20 for this and i am appalled that i have been clearly misled. Please could somebody contact me to discuss this

I created an account and several days later I placed an order. I never recieved my confirmation email regaring my order and it was not listed in my account; however, my paypal account was charged. I sent multiple emails to customer service clearly explaining things and I have recieved multiple emails telling me they cannot find my account and absolutely no information regarding my order. This was my first and last time utlizing Wordery. I would advise others to think twice about using them.
My experience (first and only!) was before Christmas when I placed an order for 2 books. One book was to be a Christmas gift and at the time I ordered the site stated that it would arrive prior to Christmas. Instead, neither book arrived until after Christmas-- one being the wrong book (advertised as Hardback/Hardcover but actually a board book) and the Christmas gift had to be given very belated. A plus for the company was that they did not charge me for either book, but not without numerous (and I mean numerous!) e-mails with various customer service representatives (rarely the same person). My greatest disappointment was in the end they did not admit to their website having misleading information on delivery times--rather they made it seem like I had misunderstood their website. Had they not advertised such good delivery times I would have ordered from elsewhere. Bottom line--if you don't mind getting the wrong book or don't have a timeframe that you wish to receive the book by, you may be happy. I would rather not take the chance again.
I was browsing my Wordery account just now and happened upon the extremely negative reviews of the service offered. I live on an island in the far north of Scotland and have yet to have any issues with Wordery. Only once ( just before Christmas 2016) was a book slightly damaged. I emailed Customer Service and within a handful of hours received an apology and a guarantee that the packaging would be improved. Other than that, my experience of this company is highly satisfactory and competitively priced for the types of books I order. I am one of those boring 'satisfied customers' that you rarely hear from nowadays. Perhaps people expect too much, too quickly. When I order a book that is published and supplied from America, I don't expect to get it next day delivery. In fact, I don't expect to get any book from Wordery next day. When they tell me it takes 7 working days I don't complain when it hasn't gotten to me by day 6!
I will continue to use Wordery for most of my online book purchases.
I've placed 3 orders with Wordery so far 2 of which were a joke.
First, they've never delivered my book and then sent an email asking if I liked it...
Now I ordered few books for my friends for Christmas. Changed the delivery address, picked "next day delivery" and changed card details.
The only thing they got right was my bank account, because the money is gone, I got an email confirming the arrival in "4 working days" to my old address where I no longer live I picked that up straight away but they said they couldn't do anything because they send a lot of parcels, which was nonsense...
If you try to write to them there will be a different person replying every time, which means that you have to repeat yourself million times. They also try to report my bad reviews.
That was over a month ago, ordered books elsewhere and got them the next day, in the meantime Wordery is still keeping my money and I was forced to send a form to Visa to reverse the charge...
It's cheaper than other services, but don't do it to yourselves if you need things to arrive on time... or arrive at all...

I mentioned that whilst speaking to 6 or 7 different members of staff (emailing the "help" address). Had to copy and paste my answers from the previous emails because it doesn't look like they keep them - out of frustration, I even started enlarging the font and changing the colour, so they could spot that the information was provided weeks ago...
I keep warning all of my friends. Don't buy there...

Ordered a book for a friend who had her baby. Never arrived. By the time I got to it, they said it was too late. Stay away! I used them to save a little over Amazon, but totally not worth it.

We allow a generous period in which complaints can be raised with us if anything goes wrong (currently around 3 months). As so much time has passed since the delivery left our warehouse the period in which we can investigate with our shipping partners, or offer a refund/replacement, has expired. We're sorry for any disappointment caused. This policy is in line with most online retailers.
This seller sent a damaged and filthy book to me which was the first thing I wasn't happy about. The box it came in was in very good condition so it is obvious the book was packed damaged and filthy. I messaged the seller on ebay where I bought from them with pictures as evidence of the damage and I received no reply. I waited a few days and still nothing, so I sent them another message and yet again no reply. I messaged them two more times and still no reply. I gave plenty of time and days between each message and nothing. I suddenly realised I recognised their store them so checked my Amazon account and found this seller was the same seller (just a different selling platform) that I bought from last year and they sent me a book covered in mould! I had returned the item that time and I still received no refund. I wasn't going to make the same mistake again so after their rude ignoring emails which I am sure they do read, I contacted ebay directly through their new bot system. The ebay adviser must have been able to see a lot of complaints about this seller not responding or refunding people with returns like reviews are saying because she immediately gave me a refund no questions asked. I wasn't even asking for one I was just wanting advise on what to do. So yeah. Do not buy from this company. They only reply to people who have questions about an item but not when they have a complaint. There is no contact number at all and as I said above, emailing them is useless. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I order a book which i never receive, i sent a lot of emails without any replay, unfortunately the only way to complain is through the email ( no telephone number)

Unfortunately, all the revies are true. I regret that I didn't read them before I used this webiste. I have been waiting for my books for THREE WEEKS and have already received the email "We regret to inform you that the item below has unfortunately been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances."

I purchased 5 books one in 1 order and 4 in the other all the same day.
The books were dispatched one by one each on different days and some have not even been dispatched, They say 14 days then they 10 days from dispatch.
When the issue was raised with wodery, I had spoken to 3 people via email and they did not even investigate the problem, in fact they kept giving me weird excuses about the computer dispatches it one by one its out of our hands as the computer does it and they have 2 warehouses and and they need to check with the publisher etc, when they were all from the same publisher and 2 were the same book but somehow they could only dispatch one.
I am still going back and forth with emails to try to resolve this issue and they have been no help. I have waited for the books and yet nothing has arrived even after dispatch but I am waiting till the 10 days are up.
The customer service is terrible spoke to too many employees and none were able to admit fault but excuses and reasoning.
This is a terrible site, I rather pay a little more and get a great service and no delay in the product.
I hope I obtain all 5 books by the end of the month.
