Impossible to contact and left out of pocket, highway robbery. I really regret having used this company, I only hope I can add to the list of poor reviews that might help other people avoiding this company.

Wrong book
December 14, 2018

I ordered a Riverdale Graphic Novel for my friends birthday and I recieved a non fiction book about the Vietnam War? Even though the recipes inside was for the Riverdale book. Tried to message them because there is no contact number yet all I got was an automated reply back. Awful.

I have always received good service from Wordey. Books, that I have ordered, have always arrived on time. I did order two books by mistake. As, they had been automatically ordered. I did send emails, which were answered immediately. I was unable to cancel, the extra book. There was a conversation, regarding the additional book. And I was offered a free return. I am frustrated that there is limited options, in respect of contacting them. I find it extremely difficult to understand, how a business can function, with customers unable to contact them, about issues that arise, with their orders.
I have continued to order books, from Wordey. As, in general, I have received good service.

Invariably, Wordery are the cheapest, but each time I've used them, the book has either had imperfections (smudges, crinkles, scuffs), taken longer than most other companies to deliver, or the item has gone missing completely (so they say - did they even send it?), and I've had to wait ages for replacements to be actioned. If it's the delivery service they use that is at fault, with these many complaints they should b*7$%y well change their carriers. There's no phone contact no. Or chat option to be found anywhere for them. It's just not worth the uncertainty, disappointment and sheer hard work for the sake of a couple of quid. As many others have said... NEVER again.

Our delivery service is Royal Mail and they are usually very reliable in making sure the items arrive on time and in perfect condition. Have you raised this issue with your local postie? We are keen to work out where the problem is arising so we can prevent this in the future. Our items should always arrive within the estimates and free of imperfections.

Ive never had this experience online before. These guys canceled my $9.95 order today (Four days after order) saying it was out of stock BUT I went immediately to their site and they now have my product up for $17.95... WTF?!? Was it worth snubbing a customer for $8? I had 3 other stores to choose from (on Monday) and bought theirs for a whole $1 cheaper (instead of $10.95)... classless... I'll spread the word on my social media sites... #shocked

Never again

Ordered three books. Got two of my order plus one other persons book. The made a diabolical hadh of correcting their mistake. Took six emails plus a letter just for an initial reply. Still waiting for my Refund as the third book wasn't instock. But they will swipe your money quick enough. M Holmes.

Failed to deliver
February 29, 2016

Ordered something from this site and after several weeks they advised me the item was not available. Went into Amazon and Wordery were still offering the item at a higher price. Despite many e mails they were unwilling to send me the item and advised that I reorder it from them again.
I will never use this company again and would Dvise other people to avoid them as well.

Accidentally ordered audio book instead of paperback and requested they cancel order less than 60 minutes after order was placed and theg claimed they could not cancel. I will return the item and never place another order with this company

Didn't receive books 13 working days after dispatch. After email contact, I was told to wait another 2 working days and then they would ask me to confirm my address details. On the 3rd working day I emailed again and included my address. The response was that a postcode was missing. A detail generally not essential when state and suburb are given. Also one of the asterisked fields on the address form, which I checked gets flagged and is required to be entered to proceed. No tracking is available. I have found this service frustrating and disappointing.

Wordery sucks
May 24, 2018

The second I hit submit on an order, I realized my address was incorrect. Ten seconds later, I requested either cancel or change address, and Victoria emailed me and said process was too far along to change... after 10 seconds... so, wish me luck ever getting a refund since it's going to the wrong address & my credit card only disputes transactions by canceling credit card number... big hassle because so many autopays setup on card... wordery... never again!

Ordered books never got conformation email. They told me I never ordered yet they had my email to send advertising for their company. Sure enough the $ is gone from my account! I will be going to the bank. Stay away from them

Dear Customers and Bookworms!

BE AWARE!

Please avoid at all costs purchasing from Wordery.com if you thinking that at some point you might want to cancel an order as it is a very dodgy company regarding the cancellation process.

I have been their customer for years. I had no any problem until one day I needed to cancel the order. I cancelled the order within a couple of hours giving them a lot of time to stop them from sending the products.

They had 14 hours to remove my products from the pallet but they told me it was not possible to do that.
However I was advised to send the books back when I get them, AT MY OWN COST!

However THEIR T&C state that there is no contract between them and the customer until the send you the dispatch confirmation. And I received the dispatch confirmation 14 hours after the initial cancellation.

Following the genuine advise from Cab, I tried to reach the trader to explain about the situation and ask them to reimburse the return postage cost but to no avail. CAB clearly said that there was no legal binding contract between the trader and me so they should have collect the products from me at their own cost!

I ordered 4 books from Wordery on the 22nd of July, but was sceptical due to the immensely awful reviews littered around the internet and the supposedly 'free worldwide shipping'. Therefore, I payed for first class delivery (which was under £3 for the whole order) and all 4 books have arrived this morning (25th of July) in perfect condition. Sometimes the bad reviews are not reflective of the average experience one should expect from a company.

Stuff came late... but not crazy late.
They responded to all my emails.
Good pricing compared to other sites I had found.
Wish they had email confirmation and better account info AND tracking info.
But I got my stuff in the adjust window they gave me.

I received a copy of a book I ordered slightly damaged (the dust jacket was rumpled and torn, despite being well-packaged). In most cases I wouldn't have been too upset about some issues with the dust jacket, but because it was a collector's item the dust jacket's quality was important. I emailed to request a replacement and received a fast response. The company agreed to send me a replacement right away and apologized for the error and inconvenience. Thank you, Wordery, for providing excellent service!

Two orders, no problems.

I live in the south eastern suburbs. My first order was for one book and it arrived within 7 days. My second order was for 6 books and they came in about 7 days! They were the cheapest for the 3 book titles on those two orders that i could find on Google!

I ordered two books 8 days ago, and I believed I would receive the books within 10 days. They have sent the second book in the series (which I still haven't received), but what good is that? I need to read the first book in the series first! If they don't have the book in stock they should say so. Never again!

Bad packaging / handling
September 4, 2019

Ordered a week ago and it actually arrived on time so I didn't run into any delays but from all the reviews I've read so far, don't expect your order to arrive on time.
When I received my book, the box in which it was packaged in was damaged and so was the book. The 2 corners on the right have folds and the box is punctured. It's pretty evident that they don't handle your packages with care and use really cheap paper to protect the book inside.
If you really don't care about the conditions of your book, you MIGHT find some pretty good deals here. But if you do, AVOID AT ALL COST!

On September 5th, I ordered a book via Amazon from Wordery for my daughter for one of her college courses. An email confirmation indicated delivery between 7-12 days. No tracking information received.

It's been 21 days now (September 26th). I've sent two emails (via Amazon) and both time received a very unhelpful email back (from "Kevin"), repeating that the book should arrive withi 7-12 days. They ignore my actual email requests, they won't resend the book, and they won't provide tracking numbers. I just tried to send an email directly from their website. I'm not hopeful.

School starts tomorrow. My daughter will be buying the book from the campus book store (for a lot more money) and then I get the joy of trying to get a refund out of this company. Horrible, horrible experience.

NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE

I ordered a book on Sept 7th, and it's now Sept 26th and it's still not here. I messaged them last week to find out what's the hold up, and for a tracking number because they do not provide one, and I just got a general sketchy email back that says they use a system without tracking numbers so package can not be tracked. I asked them what state they were located in, and they did not answer. I sent another message yesterday... no reply. I have asked for a refund... which I'll probably never get. THEIVES!
