The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from issues related to product availability, quality, and inadequate customer service. Many customers report receiving incorrect or defective items, along with challenges in obtaining refunds or support. While some positive experiences highlight good deals and prompt responses to issues, these are overshadowed by a pervasive sentiment of frustration over communication lapses and perceived dishonesty. Overall, the feedback indicates a need for improved transparency, better inventory management, and a more reliable customer service approach to restore trust and enhance customer satisfaction.

I bought an owala mug from woot in October. I had it 5 months before the button that keeps the cover shut broke. I e-mailed owala to enquire about a replacement but was told that because I bought it off woot, which is not an authorized retailer, they would not send a replacement. I then e-mailed woot to see if they can do anything about it but I was told that because it is past their 30 day policy there is nothing they can do. I did not realize my mug would not be covered under owala's warranty because I bought it from woot but I learned a lesson. I will no longer be buying anything from woot which is a shame because I bought items from them frequently. I thought this review might help other buyers before they make the mistake I made.
I was excited about my purchase, but after 20 days of waiting, my order was canceled because they didn't have enough stock. It's really disappointing that they charged my credit card upfront without ensuring availability. I expect better transparency and communication from a retailer.
Yes Amazon woot is amason company selling unused le defective merchandise they do not and phone send me texts lie a to wme over and over I need my purchase of shark shampooer and picked up, return pickup at my home for free refund my
full payment
Occasionally noticed good deals, but noticed defects after receiving it. Seems a repackaged return product. Also customer service is slow, left a message never received feedback after several days. Shipping some time is also very slow too. Good luck!
I have repeatedly tried to order stuff from Woot, but when I click on the pay button, it goes to an image of a machine whirring around - and stays there forever. No order has progressed beyond this!
When I first bought a couple of things from Woot, they were fine. But now (2023/24) you just receive used broken crap that someone rode hard and returned to Amazon.
Found a great deal for refurbished Apple products but the bad news was the worst service and refund experience ever. After I decided to purchase, I was transferred to Amazon to complete it. Then the headaches began.
Received a box damaged from the inside, not outside abuse. The laptop was packed into an empty box, with NO PACKING MATERIAL! I reported this to Amazon immediately who had me check it out and then had me return the item for a refund after finding it totally non-functional. It has taken 5 weeks of back and forth before they even attempted a refund, still waiting for it to hit the bank. If the refund ever gets to the bank.
I had to file complaints with the State Attorney General to get any cooperation and response from execs at Amazon and action. Finally got a positive statement that the refund was processed 4 days after filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). That got me action in place of the constant battle with Customer Service who demanded a photo ID or Driver's License or Passport before considering a refund! If the refund ever gets to the bank. They have the device!
Imagine an online wanting a picture ID for verification like an in-person store!
Beware of the subtle Invasion of Privacy and the intrusive tactics used, alleging "... abnormal activity in your account, or unusual activity with your account." Check the latest Amazon Terms and Conditions, they collect a massive amount of data on you automatically, from your location to following your devices and you. WOW, a page and a half of items are listed on their Data Collected page!
They have no shame in creating scenarios to justify and rationalize their action. Now, they are claiming I damaged the laptop.
I will no longer be dealing with Amazon after 14 years of loyalty, or any of its shadow businesses, definitely will take the other route of direct manufacturer purchases.
Just an update. After i sent a bad review they emailed me to apologize for taking so long to respond to me and sent me a refund on my purchase, no return necessary as a courtesy. So im satisfied with the outcome as of now. Im glad they did the right thing!
I emailed them almost a week ago, looking to return an order that i received on 11/27 supposed to 30 days return windo, and it says time window to return expired! Customer service will not respond to requests and they have no phone number you can only go thru written correspondance to customer service which is absurd. I thought since they were an amazon company there would be no risk in ordering from them i was WRONG and wont be ordering anything again since they dont stand by what they sell and dont even respond to you where there is an issue.
I ordered aSuperHandy Manual Chain Block Hoist, 1/2 Ton (1100 lb.) Capacity, 5-Foot Lift back on Nov 1st - I received a leaves blower - I wrote to woot - explain my situation - and i still waiting for my credit or the actual item- a return receipt - i do not have a printer i told them that - nothing has happened - no communication - they need better quality controls!
Product not sent. Ask were my order was, got back a email asking me if I wanted them to look in to the matter. Called credit card company got my money. They are not amazon. I think they are scammer using amazon name.
I will never buy anything from WOOT again. I ordered a gift for my grandson (#8133). That night, at 9:01 PM I received an email advising me that the package was being delivered to my street address in a different town from where I live, not to my grandson. I immediately contacted WOOT. I was told to contact UPS, which I did at 8 AM on October 31,2023. The clerk at UPS said the package was being delivered by USPS, so there was nothing UPS could do. I contacted Amazon and was told to contact Amazon Chase, which I did. The clerk at Amazon Chase told me repeatedly that Amazon Chase could do nothing to help me. Because the transaction was "pending," the clerk could do nothing. She promised me she would delete the charge but she could not do that until tomorrow. I am not sure she will remember. Everyone I spoke to wanted my credit card # AND my SSN. That makes me very concerned. I spent almost 2 hours and was unable to fix the problem, to which no one would accept responsibility, and, for the first time EVER, I had to give out my SSN. I will never purchase anything from WOOT again.

I bought a Netgear mesh system but found after I attempted to use it, it wasn't compatible with bridge applications that are required by some ISP routers. There wasn't enough information to indicate this on the description but, to be fair, the only place I have found this information was when I selected "Having Problems" or something to that effect during set up. Now, because it isn't defective or missing parts or damaged I can't send it back. This is my last purchase on Woot.
I think the items they put on there for sale, they have very few in stock. And they are supposed to be a part of Amazon, so if Amazon has it in stock, why don't they have it in stock. And other people have tried to buy the same item I tried to buy, just to find out it was out of stock very shortly after it was put on the website. The item was the Pyle PDWR50B.
I have bought several things - look good but you have to be careful with size and sometimes - do not go by the pictures - perhaps the vendor is selling you something that is not complete - and then you stuck - they may give you a 5 discount and you have to eat the balance - through it on the garbage - happened to me - no communication - with customer service - no customer rapport just the Interface - will shop buying from them -i only got the stem not the lamp or the cable - the nock 5 - now is in the gargage - good luch woot!
I bought a lot of stuff in several different orders and ended up returning 3-4 things from each order, and they promptly refunded my money and then told me to donate the clothes instead of returning them. I like that. I took them to our local organization, took a photo of the bag being handed to them, and then sent it to Woot
1. Do not buy refurbished item (it was used for long time item, very poor qualify, not a refurbished item) from woot.com. If did please return ASAP.
2. Customer service is very bad (picture attached is just open boxed item after 1 month of receiving. Woot rejected return)
I bought a phone off of Woot. It was supposed to be carrier unlocked but it was not. I purchased the phone as a backup in case something happened to my phone in use. When I received it I checked it for functionality and all was good, so I never thought anything of it, then when I needed it I took it to get in use and was told that it was carrier locked. 30 day warranty expired, so now I am out purchase price. BEWARE...SCAMMERS!
Beware of buying from Woot. They do not have the same return policies as Amazon.
They have a restocking fee for large items.
I hope there is a 0-star or negative-star option since Woot doesn't deserve a one-star rating.
I placed an online order of two 10-pack Nespresso capsules on Woot.com. Then I received a well-sealed package that only contained 6 packs of capsules. So far, after 2 rounds of communications with Woot customer service via long emails, my refund request is still rejected. Now, Woot asked me to file a claim with the carrier. But the package was well-sealed, and I cannot file a fraudulent claim against the carrier. Based on my experience, Woot doesn't do business on an honest basis. They didn't provide the correct quantity of products to customers, and they didn't give money back to customers either, but they tried to shift the cost to carriers.
Don't make any purchases with this merchant!
Answer: Not until you buy something... then you're screwed!
Answer: Only can contact through email. If you are looking to be tortured in return process it is comparable to waterboarding
