Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Actually there is none in my opinion. I sent them several emails about an exchange and never got a reply!
Avoid these guys if you can. I am taking my business elsewhere!
Be very careful ordering with this company. Their pricing is not that great, and they are unable to stop orders even if a cancellation is placed the same day, and 3 days before the actual goods are shipped! They charge shipping regardless, and a re-stocking fee of at least 15%. Their solution is to refuse the order on delivery, or mark return to sender.
Fraud company. Worst customer service.
I had ordered an elliptical for which delivery date never changed nor the item arrived.
After waiting for another week, item got cancelled. No apology no explanation.
woot.com is a great site to get fantastic deals on a range of things from accessories to garage organization tools. Their shirts are a riot and I absolutely love the ones I've gotten from them. If you haven't checked them out yet, woot is worth a few minutes of exploration. Happy hunting!
Lies about shipping from US. Actually shipped from China. Surprised that Amazon associates with such a company. Says you will get product 3-5 days…also a lie. You get a tracking # and see your product sit for a week with no movement. Worst ever. Won't ever order from them again!
I really enjoy woot and they have great deals. I do not like their customer service/support. Everytime I've contacted woot via email, it's as if no one actually reads what is written and they always send a stock email that does not address the issue
Woot is awesome. I've ordered from them several times and have never been disappointed. Shipping is quick and no matter what you buy the shipping is always five bucks. For the people that gave it negative reviews, you really have to be a responsible consumer and do some research on the product you're buying. Check out reviews before you do the impulse buy. If you find tons of reviews about a product failing after the warranty expires, chances are the same thing might happen to you.
I have been following Woot.com for 5 years and is it just me but are the deals not as good as they used to be? I has been a daily routine but I have only bought 2 items all year. I think Amazon bought them, if thats the case, since I am an amazon prime member, shipping should be free. Rethinking this site.
I like woot for what it is. It is simple, straightforward and offers really big discounts. I would give them 5 of 5 except you cannot get anyone over the phone there which is fine until you have a complex issue that takes forever to discuss back and forth via email. Still, when they have something I want which is from time to time it has been great to use.
I am an Amazon customer and have been happy with them and all their services. However, the same cannot be said for one of their ancillary partners, Woot.
I recently purchased a so-called DVR from them called simple.tv, The product is simply substandard and doesn't function anywhere close to what was advertised. My contact with woot was via e-mail and the bottom line is they would not refund my money (even with a 15% restocking fee that they say they have).
I will continue to use Amazon, but will NEVER buy another thing from WOOT, I would also suggest that any other prospective customers tread carefully. Let the buyer beware should be this companies motto.
Do not buy from them. They are selling refurbish/return products where no warranty will be provided after 30 days. Manufactures and Amazon are no keen on help either as they only care on their own profit.
I was definitely hesitant at first, but after some good experiences with small purchases, I felt comfortable ordering some expensive electronic gear from these guys. Interesting site, interesting idea, and I can't fault them for succeeding at what they do!
After reading all the bad reviews in regards to returns I was a bit skeptical of the return process. I remembered that there was a little blurb about holiday purchases of wearable items on the item page. I sent them a note and within two hours Woot responded with return verification and prepaid UPS labels. That's pretty darn sweet service. If you need to do this, go to your Woot account, click on "Stuff You Bought", login again, then scroll to the item you need to return where there will be a "I Need Help" link. Just fill out the reason for return and send them a note. Disclaimer: I do not know at this time if they will be charging a re-stocking fee (which would be ironic, because I'm returning stockings) and will update this review to reflect any changes should they come.
UPDATE - no restocking fee. Returns went off without a hitch.
I used to order regularly from Woot. Got some great stuff from docking stations to pearls to whatever. However, the charm is gone. Woot sells junk now and doesn't have a conscience about it. For example, I ordered a set of sheets for $90.00. When I washed them once, they shrunk so that they no longer fit on the mattress or the pillows. I appealed to Woot. After all, I had been doing business with them for years, and this was pretty darn bad. But, nope, can't do a thing. Against policy. Doesn't matter if it's egregious. Doesn't matter if it's not ethical to sell sheets from China that can't be washed. After a string of 6 or so emails, I gave up. And I gave up on Woot. There is no heart or ethics in it now. Is this the effect of the Amazon buy out?
Have made a number of purchases from Woot.com and most went well. However, at the first sign of a problem, they let me down. I'll just echo all of the poor customer service comments. If you have a problem, forget it. Nobody home. You're on your own.
This company has good pricing, but terrible customer service. Even if you receive a product that is defective, it is unlikely you will get any help from them. I bought a product that was defective. By the time I had a chance to use it and then let them know about it they took two weeks tog et back to me only to tell me you have to return defective products within 21 days. I consider them to be a dishonest web site.
Ordered two kitchen mats, retail was a claimed $89. I had what looked like the same mats and they cost 125 dollars and weigh a good 5 plus pound each and are pretty heavy duty. I thought BIngo these look the same and retail is about the same. NOT. Got the for $14.99 each that cost about $9.99 at walmart. Useless. The edges have a seam designed to trap crumbs. Tried to contact them and no response
I have been a Woot customer since they first started and have generally had a good experience, until now. I bought a heater recently and it came as scheduled but the box was destroyed and the heater did not work. Now came the problem. Have to contact customer service via email and obviously they do not reside in the US. I have been trying to work with them for over a month and keep getting the same canned response. For being an Amazon owned company they didn't get the customer service culture that Amazon has. To be transparent, this is the first time I've had to deal with their customer service in all the years of buying from them. I will probably not continue with them in the future because of their sorry service.
Just learned, after having purchased several items from this company, that their "return policy" is shameful at best. If you buy something that you receive and do not like - say the quality is poor- you can't return it to them. They tell you, "sell it on Google as it is not... worth effort for us to allow you to return the item."
One other time I tried to cancel an order within just a few minutes of placing it and was told I could not cancel the order.
I have made my last purchase from them.
I have purchased a few times from Woot. However, most of the time their e-mail goes straight to the trash folder. For instance, I purchased a mattress that was a good deal as it was cheaper than overstock - that had the same one. However, many times you can find the same item or the same price or cheaper else where. Also, the quality is often not good - at least for the clothing it is terrible. The best part is that they allow people to comment and reading other's comments can be extremely helpful!
Answer: Not until you buy something... then you're screwed!
Answer: Only can contact through email. If you are looking to be tortured in return process it is comparable to waterboarding
