We had ordered a study table in mid September and within 5 minutes, after realising that it would take 7 weeks to deliver, we called to cancel it as my son required a study desk within a week. My credit card has been debited. After being on the phone for over an hour with Wooden Street staff, who are extremely rude, we were assured payment would be credited within 5 days. It is over a month, still NO refund and still rude staff.

Wooden Street is a company which is a great case study on how bad you can be at customer service. Some aspects of what they did can be considered as literally cheating the customer.

Some Facts:

We ordered a sofa on 27th August 2020. Guess when we received it. 11th November. After 2.5 months! ETA was 5–7 weeks. And the best part is they take a full payment upfront and it is only customers like us who need to suffer while they give their famous COVID excuse.
Did they let us know they are getting delayed? Absolutely not. Even to date, we are clueless about why there was a delay and till the morning of 11th didn't know the furniture is going to be delivered.
Frustrated with the delay I made an attempt to cancel the order. Guess what they do not have a cancellation policy.
Could we talk to anyone to escalate or prioritize this issue in the interim? Nopes. The people who sold the furniture in their Wooden Street HSR Bangalore Shop, said they are not answerable as they are from sales and I need to talk to Support. This was a ridiculous explanation given to us.
They deliver the furniture through some random courier. The courier folks came and simply dumped the furniture. Now I need to wait for a carpenter to install. And going by their track record I am clueless when that carpenter will come.
I have no expectations of future support. I need to figure out something on my own.
Folks, there are plenty of options. Choose something else. This company is simply not worth your time and money. Do not fall prey to their marketing stuff and store designs.

I had placed an order on 27 Jul 2020 and as of today (14Sep) product not delivered & neither a favorable resolution. After waiting for 1.5 months I get a mail from them saying they will not be able to deliver the product. WS doesn't even have the courtesy to inform in-advance to the customer that there would be issue.
I have been on call/chat/raised a ticket and have been running behind them for past 4 days and no response yet.
Now they are tell me to shell out more for their lapse and get a different variant as replacement.
They are not even sharing the justification on why & how the extra charges have been arrived?

Don't get me started on their customer service. They say they'll call back and never do. They say raise the ticket and give a webpage link which doesn't work. The contact number mentioned in their web pages for local stores are switched off. They don't share any escalation contact details (neither mail nor phone).
The escalation manager keeps her official phone in office and leaves. Their chat system also just keeps transferring your chats to so called manager who does the same what the earlier person did.
I have all the details of the call records and details (person/time/number) also the chat responses, the web page error pic.

Looks like they just want to dupe people, by all these scams.

Also, for some reasons it looks like a scam. Imagine, you pay 25k+ to a company and they have the funds until the product is delivered which is 1.5 months in this case.
In this 1.5 months they can use these funds for their needs/invest/rotate/gain interest/... so on... and after that they say it'll be refunded...
So they get to make money of my hard earned 25k+ for 1.5 months. Imagine the amount of money they would have done with 100 people (conservative number) like me...
100 * ******* = *******00 (25 lac) for 1.5 months...
Considering a simple interest itself they would be making atleast 5lac from your funds...

Woodenstreet has a system which is even worse than government bureaucracy. I will want to discourage anyone who is planning to order from this company. This is my story:

I ordered a side board worth twenty one thousand on 19th July. At the time of sales enquiry I was assured delivery in 5-6 weeks. I was also told that an account manager will be allocated to me who will provide me regular updates of process and manufacturing.
When I placed the order through their app, I was given a timeline of 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Today, I'm running into the 8th week and till date I never received any update from the account manager except a mail at the time of placing the order. The app also updated the status to "in-manufacturing" after 4 weeks only and till date the status is just the same.

They make sure that the customer makes the full payment at the time of order and there is no option to cancel the order. Customer gets no clues on what is happening with his/her order and whether the furniture will ever be delivered or not.

Since last 4 weeks I have been calling their customer care number every week but to no avail. They have worst customer care system I have ever come across. On every call someone would assure me that my order is under assembly or manufacturing or polishing stage and they would either provide me the pictures of the product getting manufactured or the account manager would call me back. So far nothing of that sort has ever happened.

There is no system in place to register a complain or escalate the issue with any higher authority. In case of any concern all one can do is call the customer care number, wait endlessly for someone to come on line and then deal with some incompetent, insensitive, unprofessional person who has been trained like a robot.

Today they told me that my delivery will get delayed by further two weeks!

I have no visibility into whats happening with the money I paid, what is getting manufactured, whether something is getting manufactured or not.

One of the biggest mistakes I have made is that I placed my order with them instead of Urban Ladder or Pepper Fry.

We ordered a sofa in first week of July, we were told the expected time duration of 5-7 weeks (at max., considering COVID situation).
We were assigned with a customer care executive to keep us posted with the progress of our furniture. But NO ONE CALLED US, not even once. In Fact, we had to make several calls to customer care to get the update.
Till date, we haven't received our sofa. CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES ARE JUST LIARS! They informed last week of August at first, then they said we'll be getting our order by first week of September. But as per the website, it's not even dispatched.
Don't ever buy anything from here, just a wastage of your money and time. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICES and EXPERIENCE!

Ordered for 2 mirrors in July and it's not delivered yet (been beyond 7 weeks)! And they don't even have the professionalism to email or call you and let you know. Only when I called to check on the status of the delivery is when the customer care person tells me that oh it ll be delayed! The customer service sucks as all they ll say is 1st week of this month 2nd week of that month but no specific dates are provided for the delivery. And the mahaan website that doesn't show your your order status and just throws a "404 error" - has been happening for a month now! Like are u ever going to even fix it! And please don't be fooled if they tell u I ll check the status in 15 mins and call you or we sent u an email might have gone to spam - all lies! I literally stayed on the call and made the lady send me an email.

If you are planning to buy furniture for your new home like me DO NOT BOOK IT FROM THIS PLACE! Because clearly you won't be able to move in on time! I have also placed an order for a sofa cum bed and now I am regretting it! :( I should have read all the reviews here and not on their website!

I have bought furniture from many online stores but till now this has been the worst experience ever

Horrible pathetic experience with the wooden street. I placed an order for a computer table and even after 6 weeks. They had no clue and all I kept hearing was that it is under manufacturing. When I requested for a call back there was no call back. When I inquired about my order on their chat assistance feature, I was updated on some random order which I didn't even place. The cheap strategy they use here is, they don't tell you the delivery time of the product while placing the order. Request you to not buy from this site, you would be just wasting your money and energy on the follow up. I hope there was a an option for a negative rating.

Horrible experience after spending several lakhs and buying full home furniture. Product images displayed in site and actual product are completely different. They can destroy your dream home experience in a moment and still be very arrogant and no empathy for customer. Even after several sales call they have no clue on the product dimension that fits your space and also they will mislead you by giving false information. They have no accountability. No reviews are actually shown in their site. Seems they only write their own review. Pathetic finishing. Never fall in this trap. Hey, listen the CEO of WoodenStreet, first train your folks on how to behave with customers, let me tell you, this way your business will never run for long..
