False promises, Pathetic Customer service

It was our first-time order with Wooden Street with discussion along with a sale representative.

During sales, they drive you crazy with follow-up and ensuring to take 100% down payment with a commitment of 5-7 weeks.

This is when your worst fear come alive. Once they receive money, the only thing customer is left with is frustration.

1. No commitment to keep customer order as per schedule.

2. No courtesy to inform/update customer of his order status/delays or any process there upon.

3. No customer support nor any mobile number provided respond on time or within first 4 to 5 calls (ringing).

4. No calls backs or response to help desk tickets for days (one of my tickets was auto deleted from portal).

5. You are left with your order amount out of your pocket and empty hands with no product.

6. Contacted Ankush, Rohan, Rahul (all are never aware of status). Only response you get from them is: "System is down", "I will get back to you in 1 hour or give us time till tomorrow to revert".

7. They never call back or revert with details ever.

8. It took me 32+ calls and waiting time till October 1st for my order to be delivered. Booked on 25th July 2021 (approx. 2+ months).

9. Then starts the new phase of challenges: Order delivered not as per order (order removable cushions with additional covers).

10. No removable cushions provided (sofa delivered with fixed cushions) and no additional covers which were ordered.

11. It took another 6 days to chase down to finally to manage a final resolution of accepting a defective sofa as they cannot change or repair the problem with credit note for refund for covers. Additional 1 hour of discussion and finally agreed to refund to account rather than credit note.

12. This was evening of 6th October as confirmed by support person and to agree to acknowledge this on an email within 1 hour.

13. It's been more than 12 hours and no response from wooden street or support team.

To end this all I don't have an idea when the refund will be deposited back to our account or how many days or follow ups will be needed to close this case with wooden street.

Our advice: run away from these people or any of their contact points. You will get in to a vicious circle of problems and more problems.

My brother too had similar problems but lucky for him, he had his problems sorted out in somewhat less time.

Wooden Street as aggregator's for furniture business. OLA & Uber of furniture business. They get everything made from others.

Never in my life dealt with such a bad customer services, delivery challenges and post sales service.

Tip for consumers:

Never ever purchase anything from them.

WORST place to BUY furniture, HORRIBLE, RUDE SUPPORT TEAM, CHEAP QUALITY when Delivered!

Hello am Rajshekar, I have booked a King Size Bed from Woodenstreet by paying 34K and they assured me of 5WEEKS delivey and one guy emailed me telling he is the poinit of contact for everything. After 5weeks period he stoped replying to my email and after several follow ups 2 more frm support team came in the picture and finally got the delivery after 9WEEKS.

The product was Defective on arrival. Immediately the photos were sent to the support team guy and he told they will get the Broken part replaced. I waited for 4-5days and called that Guy, he stopped receiving my calls. I had sent serveral emails and another guy frm Support team replied after a week and told it will be replaced and told me that damaged Bed will be picked up from my place and return after 6days. Initially during booking their claim was it will be manufactured from factory and takes 3-4 weeks for manufacturing and 1 week for delivery. Now how can they replace bed in 6days? I felt that they pickup the damaged one and repair the same and send it back to me. Then that guy assured me that in 10 days they will send me Replacement and then pick the damaged one. After 10days that guy also disappeared and another guy came into look and told the other guy didnt infrom the manufacturing team to start production, so he asked me to wait for another 20days( already 1 month over receiving damaged bed), for which i didnt agree. They denied Refund.

After getting them calls from local Kannada Organisations at BANGALORE and THREATNING that they will inflict damage to the ShowRoom frm which purchase happened, they finally agreed to Refund. Now they say they will takeback the Bed and refund after 4days. Still NOT REceived REFUND.

Guys PLEASE DONT BUY from Woodenstreet. U get HARASSED from them right from booking to post delivery cum REFUND. It was the worst purchase i had ever done in my Life.

ALL their Reviews on WEBSITE, MouthShut, Google and other places are all FAKE! ( I too saw reviews and booked)

This is in reference to the pathetic /sub standard order completion for order no *******

Pre and post order service, taking me for granted, making a fool of your own leadership, not
Acknowledging the undertaking of your internal team on mail, going back on your terms of refund
Mentioned on mail!

Two cupboards were purchased last year and during delivery there was an issue with the alignment as the
Doors were not closing properly and drawer was difficult to open and close. Same was raised to the
Delivery person where we were advised that this is because wood is new and will take time to adjust,
Which is why we kept the cupboards.

Around March 2018 I called WS to raise a complaint as there was no change to the above issues. During
The call I was assured that a carpenter will come and rectify the issue. Post multiple follow ups the
Carpenter came twice spending 5+ hours and was still not able to rectify. Infact the gap between the
Doors was all the more prominent!

At this point itself I had realized that WS is not a very professional company as the response was
Pathetic and asked for refund.

Once again post multiple follow ups and arguments Fathima confirmed that they will take the doors to
Work shop for rectification and that I should give them one last chance else she will refund the money
On mail.

I called back after three weeks for a follow up and was again confirmed by Fathima got a mail that
Product has been dispatched on 4th June and will be delivered by 6th!

When I called again on 6th I was told that Fathima is on leave and then had to re iterate the entire
Story to Ridhima and was informed that its still not despatched!

Then I insisted on speaking with the senior manager as I wanted my money back as promised by Fathima
And was told by the rep that I will not get the money refunded!. After too much of insistence and
Unpleasant argument I was made to talk to Chandrashekhar.

This person is in a different league all together. I once again repeated my issue and he said very
Casually that he will not honour Fathimas mail as its redundant even though she is an employee of WS
And the mail was sent from official ID. And also that my product will be delivered by Saturday when I
Informed him that I have a flight to catch on Saturday. He guaranteed that in case that is not done I
Will get me money refunded!

Now today when I called to confirm the status Aditi informed that its still not dispatched and that I
Will not get my money even though Fathima and Chandrshekhar have given this in written!

All calls are recorded at your end and can be referenced to and attached are few mail exchanges for
Reference

I am tired of the incompetence and apathy of your team and therefore Iam compelled to raise this issue
With you hoping to get a speedy revert!

Once again today we did not get any revert /call today as promosed by Aditi therefore we have raised a
Complaint in the consumer court for money refund.

Complete $#*!show by Woodenstreet

1. I ordered about 12 products from Wooden Street for my new place early this year.
2. Delivery arrived almost 4 months after order was given. Do take note ppl the negative reviews are ALL true. I am 99% sure every customer of wooden street will hear about how heavy rains disrupted their production even during the driest of months.
3. I DEMANDED pictures of the products of mine in production in the 3rd month because I started doubting whether they have even begun the manufacturing process. The sales person who very eagerly took my money when I ordered the products only sent me photos after my 3rd or 4th email. Before I got the photos I received I think 3 messages, via email and whatsapp. 1st one highlighted that she was ill so she could not attend my case, second message about her sick relative, the last one really was the best, she is having Lunch. Please take note after they collect the cheque somehow the sales people in wooden street think their job is ended.
4. After looking at the photos I immediately rejected 2 items. They totally did not look like the pictures in the website. Once again sales person went missing and after a few days she send me a message educating me on her job scope. Basically it is to take order from client and collect payment.
5. I had to thus call their amazing hotline and an individual from the customer sales dept took down my request for cancellation. I believe he send me an email the very next day telling me they are willing to accept cancellation for 1 product but not for the other.
6. They were willing to accept cancellation for 1 of them because the difference between what they made was totally different from what I had ordered. I am not talking about design or dimensions. It was completely different.
7. The other they were not willing because according to him the product is correct though it might not look like the furniture in the website.
8. I just politely told him, I did not pay for surprises. Later I got an email confirming cancellation for both. They were willing to cancel because I only paid 80% upfront and 20% on delivery. So to those who after reading what I have to say still wish to purchase from Woodenstreet, please take note that their policy of 100% upfront is bull$#*!.
9. Finally delivery date. I was informed by a totally different person from whoever I talked to before, on the very day that they have scheduled to deliver that evening. I asked him who did you schedule with and how can you decide all by yourself that I must drop everything and be ready for your delivery when I am informed at 1 pm. After about 5 calls to the sales person, delivery person and the customer service support person delivery was scheduled for a different date. Please take note as a customer you have to do this all by yourself.
10. Delivery arrived on Sunday and unfortunately I had to reject another rubbish product after assembly. I looked at the delivery guy, printed out the image of what I ordered and asked him, does this $#*! look like the picture. And yet again another employee from wooden street educated me on their job scope, I deliver and assemble only. Again I had to make tons of phone calls to request for revised amount after taking into account the latest cancellation. After about 1.5 hours of calls and waiting the delivery quoted me a different amount from the sales person. I literally screamed at the sales person and once again she educated me about how lucky I am because she normally strictly does not work on Sundays. Even paying balance amount is a problem.
11. Conclusion: 3 cancelled pieces out of 12 ordered. From Woodenstreet, you can be sure 25% will be completely what you did not order. Out of the 9 remaining pieces, I am happy with 6 of them. The other 3 I have to learn to compromise to live with, as I am out of energy to argue with them. So net net you can safely say you will be happy with only 50% of what you ordered. And I would like to remind everyone I DID NOT do any customization. Its amazing that an online shop cant even get their products made as per their pictures that they have displayed in their website.
12. Sales person is the most useless I have seen. Only concerned for commission. I have met many sales people in my life but never have I met a sales staff who suffers from constant inertia. After collecting the money she becomes a teacher and educates you on why she cannot do anything about everything.
13. Many people have reviewed that woodenstreet suffers from a lot of internal miscommunication. The truth is they do not communicate at all. Every department behaves as though they have their own immigration counter and you have to go through a security check every step of the way.
14. Final Point DO NOT pay 100% upfront. If you do and you try to get a refund you would now have to face their infamous TRY OUR BEST TO NEVER REFUND Dept.

I sincerely hope that wooden street will tell the truth in their ABOUT US page.
1. We would make you 50% satisfied.
2. Our sales people are only order takers. Their professionalism is limited to lies.
3. Our Delivery scheduling is last minute and at our convenience, not yours.
4. You have to wait 100 days minimum we lie about the 5 7 weeks estimated delivery. If you believe it you are a fool.
