After a year without selling a thing in my online store with Wix, they decided to charged me again another year and as a plus, they decided to charged me another $386.00 dollars for a "Premium Plan", without my permission or consent. When you try to cancel it, they said you can cancel it but isn't refundable because will be active for a year. I repeat, without consent. I never asked for Premium Plan or renovation of my page because wasn't useful.
I am rather disappointed with Wix. Initially, I had a free account. Then I received info that I could have my own html. I was not aware that I would be charged $149 for hosting by an automatic renewal. When the charges came through I tried to contact Wix to no avail. The voicemail said they would call back in 4 days. I had the charges automatically reversed because I did not sign up for the deluxe package with the $149 + $14 annual renewal. When I called Wix to find out how to get the free web site back -- I was informed that I had to pay $50 because I made them look bad with a chargeback! Disclosure about upcoming charges would be nice. As well as the fact that they will automatically charge you unless you go in and turn that auto charge off! I am quite disappointed but glad I learned.
I've been with wix for some years now, recently I've discovered the way my potential customers communicate with me after making contact through my website has changed to this "ascend" messaging service
Needless to say it's absolute cr*p! And is costing me shed loads of time and losing me custom
I have always had an external email account attached to my website and the system that was initially setup has been working perfectly fine
This has all been changed without my permission and it seems I am now being forced to use it! I cannot simply opt not to use it and customer support (which isn't helpful at the best of times) is telling me to connect a gmail account, which I don't have / use! Mohaimen-Sahibuddin (Wix Support) did not help or respond!
Absolutely awful company to have a website designed with stay far away from this frustrating company that change things without your permission and then force you to use sponsored services you don't need or want to use
I supported a couple of clients who both had started constructing a site on their own and got stuck. The widgets only get you so far, no problem - cleaned it up for them my bigger issue is portability of their code. It's all proprietary - want to get locked in and either stay with Wix forever or re-do your site? The Wix is for you? Hate writing pure HTML/CSS and love bloated code? Come on down! Oh, and customer service on a paid plan? Does a day or two later work for you? Do you hate reaching a CSR right away to get your issue resolved? Wix is for you.

Sadly, on the surface - the concept of Wix is good but it is poorly executed. Even with the horrible billing aside, bad customer service overlooked and the bloated code - the lack of portability of your pages should be a red flag.
I paid a designer to make a site. Now I need access to what I own Wix will not speak to me, said I can not verify it. They have no real customer service, people to call. Not in the US. It was paid with my cc and it is my name in the website and the account. This could have been easily verified.

I think whoever came up with wix.com is simply amazing. I love how user friendly the website is and almost everything about it. Of course it has its pros and cons but overall, I think it is straight forward and super awesome
My Support request resulted in my Website being completely deleted and no attempt has been made to recover it. Countless Hours of work to write the content for my Website and my Business have just been eliminated and no one cares!

I had to create a website for a school project so I decided to use wix. But after I had created my website and hit save it, the page reloaded and deleted all of my work! I could not even find it in my history! Then I remain my page and it deleted my page after I had hit save again! It was ridiculous and was a waste of time. I do not ever recommend using Wix to ever build a website. It is probably one of the worst sites out there.
I could never get anyone one answer the on the phone I canceled my subscription and they still took money out of my account I had to go to the bank and get it stopped plus change my card... don't use this SITE... I think we should all get together and open a class action lawsuit...
My plan renewed automatically and I was 2 days past the 14 day cancellation period so now I can't cancel the plan. I can't get a person on the phone, the automated voice directs you to the website and hangs up. The website offers no option to cancel. I'm stuck with the yearly plan!
Oh my goodness I found extra charges on my account when I bought a domain. I contacted Wix, they told me that I signed up to premium, I did no such thing I am not an idiot. I asked them to return my money and they said that they didn't have a refund policy, so they would not return my money I complained and complained they could not be bothered. Little do they know that Ive entered the tech world and I will discourage everyone from using WIx as They said they would never return my money. My suggestion is to run the other way and never use Wix this company and their so called customer is terrible. Go Daddy all the way
I have been a WIX user for 4 years and had no problems until I needed service to help sort out a billing problem. The domain was about to expire so I contacted a rep who walked me through the process and I paid for a 2 year domain renewal. BUT the domain expired anyway, the site went down and I had to pay a $100 charge to reinstate the domain. The only service I got was 'well it looks like our system didn't put it through". Thank you WIX.
Wix is easy to set up but if you ever need to transfer your Domain to another Host don't use Wix. They make it difficult to transfer the Domain name and when you call Customer Service you have to explain 4-5 times to the person on the phone what you are trying to do because they don't understand. Then when you want to be transferred to a Supervisor they make you wait 20 min.and then cut you off.
I have had my wix account since 2013. They have gotten so ridiculously expensive, the support is terrible and none of the feature's work. Email marketing doesn't even work anymore. I can't copy and paste a URL lol idk how the platform got so terrible, but I definitely would never recommend them to anyone.

Everything is computerized and you have to choose random problems from the list and your problem is not on the list, then you are screwed.
You can NEVER find anyone to talk to.
If you have a problem they will never help.
If you pay for premium and have a problem and want a call back forget about it.

Had problem and cancelled 5 months after purchase and guess what they can not dispute because they have no customer service. When you pay for it you expect it, where ever the heck you are really located PERIOD.

I've been using wix for just about 4 months now and found it to be a joke! The site is slow, and their templates look like they're from 1990. Their SEO section is an embarrassment to real SEO rules. Every time their back page editors try to update their features they screw up all others and if you request a call back to discuss the issues, their statement says that it may take a while because of corona. When did corona start to affect those with no interactions with their customers like WIX PHONE SUPPORT? Wix is the worse decision we made for my business!
I have had multiple attacks on the website and the security team are useless! They don't do anything?
On top of this i have been billed numerous times for products that i have canceled yet they say i haven't etc. just a nightmare website company please don't go with these!
I signed up with WIX. I was lead to believe it would be a straightforward process to use their tools. I didn't like what they offered. Better to learn HTML, CSS, yourself, it really is easier than using WIX. I canceled with someone over the phone, and was assured that was the end of it. Two years later, my credit card was billed for an 'autorenewal' of a service that not only am I not using, I also canceled. Maybe they would have more satisfied customers if they expended as much effort into their tools that they do put into squeezing money out of people that no longer wish to do business with them.
Answer: There not bad, but they offer really poor customer Service skills. Doesn't matter how long you do business with them the only thing they care about is your money. So if you dont stay 100% on top of things on your end your screwed.

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
