We had a wix premium subscription that we wanted to cancel because we are going to another webhost. The billing date came up and they automatically renewed and took nearly $300. I requested a refund and they said it will take 20 business days to review and that our review date is on August 2nd. I've honestly never heard of a company taking 20 days just to review IF you could get a refund. I've called customer support (which was difficult to get in touch with) and there is seemingly nothing I can do but wait to see if they will approve my refund. Honestly, do not use wix unless you want to overpay for something you can get at another host that will actually care about your business. We regret utilizing wix for our business website and really cannot believe that they are just playing around with struggling businesses money like this. I genuinely have never had to deal with such a terrible, uncaring company.
I'm so pissed off. Beware of autorenew option of their plans. You will not be aware you had autorenew untill you've been charged. They do not remind you of the renewal via email (nor any other method) and they charge you 14 days in advance before the actual renewal date. So if you choose to cancel your plan after that, it's too late, you have already been charged with hundreds of dollars. It's a trap. Use another provider who doesn't play small!
I recently tried using Wix.com to build a website on my iPad, and it was a complete disaster. The user experience was terrible, to say the least. The interface was clunky and unresponsive, making it difficult to make even simple changes to my website. The drag-and-drop feature was particularly frustrating, as it was almost impossible to move elements around the page without screwing everything up.
I have been using WIX for a few years and upgraded to Premium about 2 years ago. Happily plodding along doing the occasional update. HATE the new editor. Look at their service tickets for the last few months, mostly complaining about the new editor.
It is clumsy.
It is is slow.
It is non intuitive.
It is PAINFUL.
They will let you revert to the old style for a limited time. Here's a better idea, ROLL BACK, ditch the CRAP you have now.

Something seriously bad wrong about Wix.com. They charged me for nothing this month for 149.00!? I wasn't even buying anything? I was unable to connect to any customer support or email address at all.And google workspace was suppose to be a part of subscription in Wix plan but suddenly I need to pay subscription? I need to cancel my CC before more ridiscous charges on me. Stay away from WIX.COM at all cost!
This is the first time I've ever written a review of any sort. I was gifted a domain name purchased through 1&1 internet. I created a landing page for my site and worked with 1&1 to transfer the domain name. I was not able to get my site up, so I requested a call back from customer service. I wait TWO hours for the call. This is after my first call to WIX when I was on hold for 45 minutes before I hung up. My site is still not up after my last call. Just requested a call back -- a pop up said that there was a problem and to try back in ten minutes. It also said the wait time for a call back is 80 minutes. I have never been so frustrated with customer service as I have been with WIX. As I have not fully developed my site yet, I might just bail. It's that bad.
Terrible customer service because it's almost impossible to get through, and once you do, they act politely as if helping you but do nothing to help and tell you someone will get in touch later. I've tried to cancel my subscription and received an error message. Then was charged double the amount I had signed up for. Then I call to get a refund, they walk me through how to cancel the subscription and later tell me they don't approve the refund. So in the end I don't have the subscription for the whole year or the refund. They won't even give a prorated refund - $264 gone!
I used Wix years ago when I needed to create a site for my investigations business. It was a great start. If you needed anything additional, you would be charge a nominal fee. Not too high. Not sure if the site is still free. If not, poor WIX.
Total crap. Can't even talk to anyone when something isn't working. And they rope you in, I want to take my content elsewhere, MY content, and they won't allow you to. Total bull$#*!. They won't even get with the times for recipe sites, with new features. So sorry I ever started my website here. Beware, use Wordpress instead!
Who are these people? Every couple of years they take money from my account. I have a new card number and never gave it to them so where the heck do they get numbers they have never been given. I want them to leave me alone and stop trying to take money from people they are not entitled to take it from. I don't even want their service and don't have it. Stay away from them if you want to keep your bank account intact.
3 months ago wix took a renewal payment from my credit card. I did not give authorisation for this. I requested a refund from them. 3 months ago they disconnected my website and have still not given a refund. I recommend anyone looking for a provider to steer clear of wix. Absolute rip off merchants!

I tried Wix to build a website, I was able to create a site; after many hours of work It looked ok. Then I realized it was down all the time. Almost every time I checked it was down. I didn't even try to get my money back I just stopped using it. I definitely will never get my time back! I forgot about them. Then I saw that one year later they took more money from my bank account! What? How can they do that? I never agreed to be billed yearly! It was a one time thing! I logged onto their site to try to get them to stop but there was no way! I contacted the bank and they said I would have to change my account number in order to stop them. They took money from my bank three times before they stopped. The only way to deal with the is to sue them but they are in Israel! I'm not traveling to the other side of the earth to sue. I'm just glad they stopped. They suck in so many ways!
One of the most frustrating experiences ever. I don't blame support crew ever for shortcomings of the product they represent. But god give me strenght i spelt out my request in the clearest terms possible, just asking if it was feasible, not even expecting an answer.
I truly hope a bot replied to me, but I doubt it. They just kept copypasting information from their forum pages. Information i already told them i knew. Now even pertinent to what i was asking.

2 years in a row I was billed for services that I cancelled, Getting a refund is a nightmare. All I get is voice messages emails that are meaningless and NO customer service. Time to call the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General.

They keep charging more every year. A $10 domain is now $50 to renew. A $140 plan is now $270.
Customer service takes a day or longer to respond and usually don't address the issue.
The ecommerce premium plan is a joke. It loads slow, is cumbersome to list products, and has limited features. They updated the store but I couldn't find out if it is any better. They told me I had to rebuild my existing store to use the new one... that's when I decided enough was enough. I'd rather rebuild elsewhere.
The cherry on the wix turd sundae is that even though I transfered both my domains and cancelled, they're still charging me for the rest of the year.
I will forever advise others to avoid wix.
I have lost my editing abilities to my website on wix and I can't get the help from wix. I need to be able to get into my site. They set an appointment for me on my email but never come back to connect and resolve my issue even when I have a claim with several employees of wix.
We are forever Creative took over 2 of my websites, he was supposed to put an online store on my Benson Parks Pecans. He took the money and ran! I have had bensonparkpecans.com for years! Now Wix will not give it back after we are forever creative locked me out of my domain names. We are forever creative is registered at Wix, and it is no longer accessible! Wix is a scam also, after trying to get my website back from them through their abuse email! What a farce Wix is! I had Benson Park Pecans. Com since 2004!
I have had a WIX account for 3 years and their web sites are cool to look at. But no one will ever know about the web site. I tried all the techniques. Still, I never gained google's notice unless people knew to use my name. Now that I want to cancel my auto billing, the payment page will not load. I have tried to delete my credit card for 6 weeks, but have never gotten the link to load. They just rebilled me despite my besst efforts to leave them. Sickening and maddening.
I am beyond disgusted with the service or should I say lack of service that I've been receiving from
Wix. They want permission from the site owner to assist you with your website and, yet, they take it upon themselves to go into your website and make unrequested changes when they feel like it. So, the website owner has to keep correcting the changes that the techies make that were never requested. It is an unbelievalbe waste of time! Neither my desktop nor my mobile website can be navigated as these idiots, apparently, would rather change the background color than work on something that is essential. As it stands, right now, since nobody can look at the various sections of my website, easily, they'll get off my site ASAP! So, I'm jerking around correcting THEIR mistakes on a website (mine) that, as I type, is useless. RUN don't walk away from this ridiculous company.
I have designed a website with Wix and bought a Premium Plan in March 2022 to 2024. In the first days of January 2023, my website was suddenly gone - completely empty on my account.
After 1 month of emailing with Wix support, they say that they have now found the website and moved to a new account and that the Premium Plan cannot be transferred and that I have to be purchased for a new account.
I then wonder if they credit the Premium Plan I already bought until 2024, but they can't, they say.
Wix is cheating their customers and I will choose another provider for all other websites I now make.
Answer: There not bad, but they offer really poor customer Service skills. Doesn't matter how long you do business with them the only thing they care about is your money. So if you dont stay 100% on top of things on your end your screwed.

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
