Wix would be OK if they did not have the default of having text or photo or headings repeated on each page. It should be the opposite... click ON when you want an item to appear of the same page. But worse when you delete the item from a page it disappears from the original page and you have to go back and insert. The default often appears even after you click not to have it repeat on each page.
After an office manager walked off the job, I the owner lost access to the account. The account was linked to her email account and I do not have the password. Asked Wix what to do and they said she owns the account and Wix will never help me the owner to get access to my business account. I work in healthcare and children could be hurt and parents frustrated if the website can not be accessed. Stay away from Wix at all costs or you will be sorry. They are not business oriented
Do not sign up with this company; they automatically sign you up for $168 per auto renewal when you decline this when initially signing up. They claim they send notifications on the renewal which is a complete lie. Their support is awful; it is impossible to contact their billing department.
I have recently built a basic web page using Wix and paid for the premium service for a year only cause they are having a 50% off sale right now.
However, their support is TERRIBLE! I have questions that I cannot find the answers to in their support discussions and I cannot get in touch with an actual person on the phone.
Their so called customer service phone number just gives you a message to use their support page and gives no instructions on how to schedule a call back with a Wix support agent.
I cannot find call back instructions anywhere on their website either. I do not recommend Wix and will not be renewing my acct next year.

I was looking for a simple, easy to use site just to set up a quick example for a presentation; I decided to give wix a try after seeing countless commercials, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. I quickly and easily set up what I needed to for free. I don't know if I'd necessarily choose this site to create an actual site for my business, but it worked for exactly what I needed it for.
They have taken money out of my account fraudulently. I have never had any sort of dealings with them EVER. They just set up a recurring charge on my account and took out 3 payments I have never heard of them.
Its not. You have to pay for a domain even if its your own. All the actually usefull features like the book a meeting one are expensive. 20€ a month +. I spend a week making a website just to then find out that thesse lying snakes want me to pay up. Im not giving them a dime.
I cancelled my wix.com account in Dec. I was charged 78.42 in July so I rang my bank to recover it. Days later wix.com charged me 145.20!

Not only did they delete my account and website suddenly, but their metadata never generated much traffic to my site to begin with. How do I know? I added a counter. It set it up to NOT record my visits; only others. Traffic was abysmal, even with all the key words and metadata set up that SHOULD have attracted traffic.
Wix automatically renewed my premium plan without warning or notification and charged me 204 dollars. It is impossible to get in touch with anyone from wix without be rerouted to page after page even when you want to request a callback. You don't actually have the option of getting a callback. You just get shoved to through another hoop. There is no contact e-mail, nothing. I originally used Wix because of the support. I want a refund of 204 dollars and my premium plan canceled.
Company is absolutely not in the interests of the customer. I purchased a logo and they give you one free edit. This doesn't include adding a tagline. Been trying to resolve for 2 weeks and now another issue where they won't accept even a marginal change. Waste of cost, waste of logo now and worse is I have to start all over again with a different company. If your business was to ever grow in future and you cannot edit your logo/wording if you needed to and as marketing develops is absolutely bizarre to me that you won't have any rights to change as and when you need to. Raised a full complaint with the company
I've had a website with them for 4-5 years now. Have been paying the premium price all this time. This year when my business has downsized a bit, I didn't have a reason to pay for ALL the features of a premium site so I downgraded to a free site. I still had my paid-through-2025 domain though that I paid for separately. So Wix started demanding I upgrade my site back to premium and using my domain as a hostage. They use policies as their excuse for why the domain cannot be used with a free site (even though you already paid for it) and why they won't refund you for the domain either (it's been past 14 days apparently and PER THEIR POLICY no longer refundable; my premium site and domain subscriptions renewed at different times). They're scammers who have created their policies to hide behind. Go with someone else.
Be careful with this website. If you buy a domain and build a website with them you will receive an automatic subscription. This is not stated in clear writing. Even though you will own the domain for one year this is AUTOMATICALLY renewed. I bought it on a special offer around Christmas so the price was fairly OK.
However, I was renewed at full price. I wasn't expecting to be automatically renewed after one year and to be renewed at full price was not a pleasant surprise. Be very careful with Wix. Read the small print and make sure to cancel your subscription before your year is up.
If you're looking to play around and make a personal website or blog for free, this would be the perfect place to start--before you decide if you want to spend money. Once you decide, you want to spend money to get a domain. I'd suggest GoDaddy.
WIX is terrible. Their editor is slow and their support is awful. They take days to respond and when they do they make no sense Go to WIX if you do not want your site to rank on Google. I do not recommend them whatsoever.
I've had a wix.com site for about 3 years now. Back when I got it, it was great and I had phone support. Support has gone completely downhill. Now you have to do a support ticket and it takes about 20 minutes to find that ability to even do that. SO I paid for the most premium recently as we did a wix upgrade and it messed up many things on the site and we needed help with the ecommerce site. I still cannot get thru on the phone-EVER. So the support tickets are never really read fully as each time i have sent one, and i've sent many, they do not address the real problem. Our site has published when we only saved it, they said that can't happen, so three of us tested that, easily, and it happened again. Now my problem is one that they said they cannot duplicate (they would have to go thru the payment process on the site to duplicate it I told them) and since it cannot be duplicated wix thinks it cannot happen. I want to change as the ONLY plus is ths defunct site is easy to build.
I signed up a regular plan for $10 a month last year. And this year, they somehow made my plan become a Premium Plan, and charged my visa for it, without notifying me. When my plan was about to expire, they somehow again, auto-renewed for me, and charged me for the entire year, without notifying me again! It is a very dishonest company. They would not let me cancel the plan, as they already charged me for a full year in advance! Also, if you need to cancel a plan, they make you follow a complicated procedure and make it almost impossible to cancel it. Don't ever use it!
I am a new service based buisness, prior to making my first dollar I have been using wix business account for over a year. My first paying client was over 2 weeks ago and I have STILL not got paid! After hours of trying to get someone to speak with I was advised I would receive my payout on 9/10, exited to finally get paid I check my bank account and nothing has been deposited! I check their payout schedule and now it shows online I'm "estimated to receive my money on 9/15"! So 3 fckn weeks so receive $ that is already mine and they just keep pushing back the date! I used 2 other booking sites and receive my payouts nightly, I am beyond disgusted at this situation! I need my fckn money!
Don't get me wrong, I like Wix, and it was a good place to create a website for my school project. I only have two problems with it: I couldn't figure out how to put it under a different URL, and I think it does cost money for certain things, so not free as advertised. Although my experience was average, please try it because people have different opinions. :)
I paid for my photography site. Wix charged my bank account, as for my site there is no site published on the internet. I contacted wix on their site requesting a call back, no call back. Emailed their customer service no response. My bank is doing an investigation on the company.
This is very unprofessional on wix behalf. I am a very dissatisfied customer. Wix should correct these issues in a professional manner. So far they are showing that they are very unprofessional company.

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
