I've ordered several wines via Wine.com. I noticed that Wine.com charged nearly double the price of some of the wines. I send them my finding, got just a general answer back. Will not try this site again. Big time overcharging,
This company is horrible. I bought a bottle of wine from them three weeks before Valentine's to give to my husband on Valentine's day. They email me a few days before the occasion to tell me "Sorry but its sold out." How was I able to order it in the first place, receive a order confirmation & then a tracking # to only be told after all of that, that it was sold out! Ridiculous & very unprofessional.
I have been a Stewardship member for over a year. At first, this company provided outstanding shipping times as well as customer service. Now it's abysmal. I have a $250 charge for a wine order which has never been delivered. No response from this vendor to multiple emails/chat box and phone calls. I would caution anyone thinking of utilizing this company
Don't waste your time. The customer service is a joke. They lost the package. Lost the order number. Customer service didn't know what was going on with any of it. Held my money for over 3 weeks. Not worth your time.
I ordered a bottle of Dom Perignon for $269.95. When I received my order confirmation, Wine.com had slipped in a $49.00 charge for Stewardship Annual Membership. I did not select or ask for this membership. On the order, Wine.com applied a $16.95 discount toward shipping under the guise of "stewardship savings," even though I had entered a separate discount code for free shipping.
When I told Wine.com about this, they offered to remove me from the Stewardship program and refund the $49.00. Great! The next day I received an email stating that they did cancel the membership program, but will charge me for it anyway (no refund!) because I took advantage of the $16.95 Stewardship Savings on shipping, even though the free shipping code I use was replaced by Wine.com as Stewardship Savings. So they tricked me into using their program, cancelled it, and pocketed the fee anyway!
DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP! These people are sneaky, deceptive and dishonest.
Ordered wine for specific date. Never arrived and called and emailed them for several days. Absolutely no one answered the phone or contacted me regarding my problem. Try any other company for your wine.
Buyer beware! Terrible customer service. Ordered a $200 bottle of Champaign to be delivered June 1 for daughters BD. Keep giving excuses about their warehouse which has nothing to do with me. The bottom line is they just want your money and you can't depend on them for delivering your order in a timely manner.
What an awful experience from start to finish. Among the worst customer service experiences ever. Placed an order and agreed to subscribe for the annual StewardShip. They charged my card instantly for that $50 but my order got stuck in neverland. No follow-up. No responses to multiple emails, and more than an hour wait for on-line chat help. Finally got to someone who said one of the bottles I ordered was out of stock. But could not provide any new ETAs or other details. So frustrating. Demanding a refund of my subscription. I strongly suggest you find your wine elsewhere.
I would rate this company as -10. They are wholly disorganized and unethical in their processing of products.
I had cancelled my order with them after receiving no notice and no product needed within the delivery time noted at the time of ordering. It had been needed for a scheduled event, which has long since passed. Over a month after that cancellation was issued and several other emails had been sent they charged my credit card and again after several notices regarding cancelation still tried to deliver the product, Now they refuse to refund the money they took, saying they will be giving me a "credit" towards a future purchase! Clearly someone there also has a sense of humor.
Just stay away from this company. Terrible experience! ETA dates change, wine get's destroyed in shipping (bad packaging?), takes forever to get them to refund your money... they start off with store credit and actually getting your money back is a formidable task!. Just read the reviews here or check out wine.com on ResellerRating.com and see all the nice things other buyers had to say about them... not!

Don't buy from them. They used my gift card and charged my credit card. 4 calls and a lot of time wasted and they still have not credited my account. I have a balance left on the gift card but I cannot go through all that again. They can keep it!
Ordered for the first time, they charged for shipping. Well I was expecting to be delivered at my door and had to go pick it up 35 miles away from my house. Glad they reimbursed the money, but too much stress to get it.
I've had several orders processed correctly. Last try, the order seems to be 'stuck' in their system. Email to customer service, no reply. Chat, 'the order has been sent to the warehouse.' Phone, forget it. How tough is it for a human to notice that an order is not being processed? It's been 2 weeks since it was supposed to be delivered and it's not left their warehouse. Insanely bad customer service. Avoid this company.
Don't use this service, they give you a delivery date at the time of purchase and don't respect it. Reschedule, don't give you new date for delivery, and you wait wait wait for your wine. Now when it is time to charge your credit card it is same day! And don't try to contact their customer service... the answer: you will get an email when we ship your order... be patient!
I ordered a premium bottle of whisky. They sent me the wrong bottle, then magically my bottle was out of stock. They have zero accountability and their customer service is beyond terrible. Took me 1 week of daily calls to find out they dont have the bottle I ordered. Dont ever use them, plenty of other sites that wont screw up your order.
Ordered a bottle of wine for a customer 2 weeks before Christmas and they said it was in stock. Got an email a few days later saying that they were holding shipment due to weather. Weather was normal for time of year, not too hot, not freezing so was curisous why weather was an issue. Got an email 5 days before Xmas saying weather was ok for shipment and wine was being boxed in warehouse ready to ship. Followed up 2 days later seeing it had not shipped, told it was being packed. Followed up online 12/27 asking why it still had not shipped. Was told "sorry, busy with the holidays so we will go ahead and cancel your order". Sounds like they never had the bottle in stock and were just stalling for time. Will never purchase from again, just hoping they actually refund by credit card and not try to steal the money.
I placed an order of 10 bottles of wine that I was supposed to receive yesterday, today I got an email saying that my order was accepted as a mistake since there's only two bottles in stock of the item I ordered. I called customer service and after 25 minutes I was told that nothing can be done to accommodate me as a customer after your mistake and they could send me the two available bottles but a regular price, I was willing to spend over $200 on this wine that I love and I cannot get because of your own mistake! Shame on wine.com for such a lack of respect to their customers time and not knowing how to value them. I will not be using this site again
First and last time I will buy from you, rather a bitter experience to find out that you don't regular bottles but half bottles... I sent it as a gift and found out that what I sent as novelty was a very expensive half bottle. You should made real clear what as a customer I was buying... you guys offended me (even felt scam) by this trick. Who in the world delivers half bottles for such price? IT has been such RIDICULOUS experience buying from you!
Don't trust this business. I will never order from them again. They placed two authorization holds on my account for a single order and claimed that the funds were released - they were not. Customer service was not only slow but completely unempathetic, uncaring, and unhelpful. I will never shop from them again and I caution you as well. Shop at your own risk. I don't trust this company. They also lied to me about receiving a survey at the end of our interaction.
Don't rely on them for shipping. If you're buying a gift for someone, go someplace else. They promised to ship and deliver on a particular day and it's five days later. Shipping from New York to Pennsylvania should not take 5 days, especially when they told me it would be there the next day. Unexcusable. I'll go someplace else myself to buy wines in the future.
