Twice now that my purchases was delivered after a year since ordering - both online and in the store, and I even paid shipping costs lol! One order I made 3 years ago, way before the pandemic, and this current one was all delivered One Year later!
I waited to use it for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, - name all the occasions that I want to use my purchase on but nope, still backordered. Lol!
If the item is backordered, it will be delivered after 1 year, pandemic or not! LOL
I am not sure why they are marketed to be a great business but I regret having them on my registry. When setting up the site, it is a mess to work with. In doing our registry, guests were able to order items multiple times even when it was already purchased. Since multiple items were purchased of the same item (when we only requested one), we would ask for a return and get a gift card of the amount sent to us. On one return, they returned it back to the original SENDER OF THE GIFT. I am not sure in what kind of world would one send it back to the original sender ON A WEDDING REGISTRY. Common sense dictates that you should default it to the owner of the registry as it is rude to return the gift. We now had to have a conversation with some guests about why a refund was charged because of again the aforementioned multiple items.
They refused to remedy the situation by even offering us a gift card for their mistake and even had the audacity to ask "would you like us to request the sender to buy it again"? They have absolutely no class.
They discriminate against white trainees and give other races an advantage by having them log in early for "special training". Plus for quality vs price you are better off going to Walmart.
I purchased Luna dishes ( plates, salad plates, bowls and mugs) in 2021. While using them we had one break very easily and ordered a few new ones. Then I was carrying one from the microwave to the table, with my dinner on it, it popped in my hands. They said it's too long to return them. The mugs stain so bad that nothing cleans them. I think the lack of glaze, which makes them charming, is letting water in and then contracting or expanding with heat is the issue.
YOU ARE A SHI* COMPANY, ORDERED A $500 POT WITH OVERNIGHT SHIPPING, THE POT ARRIVES 5 DAYS LATER, I CALL TO GET REFUNDED FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING" AND I HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY CAN NOT REFUND SHIPPING WHEN THE WOMAN I SPOKE TO WHEN ORDERING TOLD ME IF THERE WAS A SHIPPING PROBLEM I WOULD BE REFUNDED, NEVER, EVER WILL USE THIS $#*! COMPANY AGAIN, I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS ONLINE WHICH MANY ARE VERY BAD ABOUT THIS SAME THING, SCREW YOU POS'S!
Ordered an item on May 1, said it would be delivered by May 5 or May 6. On May 6 contacted, them to find out why I didn't have my item yet. Agent said they never fulfilled the order, but didn't have a reason and would need to escalate it to "management" to investigate.
I'm guessing had I not contacted them I would have been waiting forever. I told them to cancel the order and I turned around and placed a new order on Amazon.com, which is what I should have done in the first place.
It's clear Williams-Sonoma isn't interested in selling to customers. These reviews further suggest that Williams-Sonoma isn't a customer-friendly business to work with. Save yourself headache and order on another website.
I placed an order in May 1 for a Mother's Day gift. It WON'T TELL YOU the estimated delivery date until AFTER you pay. I figured I placed the order in enough time to arrive on Mother's Day, but it won't arrive until May 10, which does me no good whatsoever. I called their annoying customer service where it takes you 20 minutes to reach a human being, and this woman tells me that they can't cancel the order even though it hasn't even been packaged yet.
Screw this company. I am never doing business with them again. Their products suck and so does the company.
Customer service for west elm and Williams and Sonoma is awful, and agents are semi-combatitive. Have waited Aug to April to get a price of furniture delivered, that has been delayed, mis-communicated about, and finally I am desperately trying to get the price delivered with no luck. I wish the company was receptive to improving customer experiences.
Buyer beware. I have the Williams Sonoma W******* Automatic Bread Maker and it is a joke. You follow the directions exactly as outlined in their recipes and directions and it does not work. I put it in the trash where it belongs. Purchased it because I heard good things about the brand, but was disappointed with its inability to do what it is supposed to do. Just go out and buy bread at the store. It is a lot easier and won't waste your time. I have cooked many things in my lifetime. Some things required a lot of detail and are "high maintenance" and they came out just fine. Wish I could have given this company negative stars, but unfortunately that was not an option.
- High shipping, which is not waved regardless of amount spent
- They won't always batch your order, and will charge you ridiculous shipping again for each separate delivery
- All their own brand products are made in China
I ordered a ceramic dish for my sister in law on December 18th, 2021 as a Christmas gift and I selected 2-day shipping (I was still not expecting the dish to arrive before Christmas but I thought the $26.00 extra fee would at least speed up the process). I was kind of surprised to see a delivery date of January 27th, 2022, but I accepted and waited. January 27th, 2022 came and my item was not delivered, then when I checked the website the delivery date moved to February 24th, 2022. February 24th, 2022 came and no package arrived, I checked the website and surprise, the delivery date was moved again to March 24th, 2022. I waited until March 18th, 2022 and saw no shipping updates so I ended up contacting customer service. I was told that they were "sorry I was confused" and that the expected delivery date didn't actually mean expected delivery date but instead, when the product would be ready to ship. Customer service said according to their info, they were expecting to get more units of my ordered ceramic dish on March 24th (it did not say out of stock when I ordered), which is odd considering the day after talking to them, March 19th, they had one being shipped to me. It really feels like they simply forgot about my order and just sent it once I reminded them, but even if they did not forget, 93 days for an item I was told would take a month to deliver is absurd. I actually feel bad for the customer service reps, it's not their fault the company performs so poorly and then the reps end up having to deal with all the issues when they seemingly have no tools to do so. Maybe if they focused on fulfilling orders instead of sending endless amounts of spam emails all hours of the day, they wouldn't have these late delivery problems!
I ordered furniture from Potter Barn and returned it due to shipping damage. I was not given all of my money back. They are holding $2300 for the dining room table. I was refunded by Amex, but now cannot order anything from any W-S brands because there is an open dispute between PB & Amex. This is the worst family of brands to buy from. Stick to your local furniture stores and use these curtain sites for design inspo only! BUYER BEWARE. Two thumbs down. Zero stars.
It's a con! I ordered 3 items and never arrived. They keep changing the delivery date. I ordered a smug frother on November 20th and still waiting! Complete con! WS have changed the delivery date 3 times and still waiting. It's March 16th! WS won't cancel my order. I called waited 30 minutes for representative who didn't want to cancel my order!
They took so long handling my order that was supposed to be a xmas present for the wifey... In March the following year I got an email that there was a problem with my payment method that the order was to be cancelled... that's because my credit card expired in the meantime, you knuckleheads...
In my opinion their stock price as of this writing of $151 is way too high... until they improve drastically!
To the best of my knowledge their brands include Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn/Kid/Teen, West Elm, WS Home, Rejuvenation, Mark & Graham
Sadly I wasn't able to give 0 stars, 1 star felt very generous. I placed an order in October. By January I was still chasing up why it had not yet been shipped. By Feb I gave up and asked for a refund and was told I should receive the refund within a week so I ordered the product from someone else (and it came within a week). No refund came from WS and the product that I no longer wanted has just been delivered to me. Worst logistics and customer service I have ever experienced, especially by a company with an international name... something very very dodgy must be going on behind the scenes. I will now have to ring them again to arrange the return and hopefully, eventually get the refund that I was promised.
Order online for delivery, box was missing manual and looks like it had been returned. Contacted customer service for a solution and what nightmare. They send so many emails asking the same question over and over again despite of the answer being provided on the same reply. Further, in order for them to ship a new item they want the previous item back 1st, but they waste too much time with these emails back and forth. This was the 1st and last time. Never, ever will purchase from this store again.
I'm so mad at this company. I ordered two birthday presents. One went to NY and the other FL. I got confirmation emails for both. I just found out that they canceled the FL package and didn't notify me. They do not have a trustworthy online order department.
Laughably bad service. I bought a $4k+ kitchen island and immediately the (supposedly) sealed countertop began to erode with the mildest of spills. I have so far walked into the store to ask what if anything I can do to improve sealer, at the associates direction called customer service, and sent three subsequent emails just to answer this question. Each time they seem to only know how to ask my name address and order number. The last email response said thank you for contacting Pottery Barn. Surprisingly poor quality furniture. Surprisingly bad customer service. Will be limiting my future purchases to only spatulas. Photo shows 1 area of erosion after lemon juice spill (quickly cleaned up). Approx total size that of a dollar bill.
Please do not waste your money on the Hot Chocolate Classic. 10 of 10 people all tried it and poured it out. Comments were: salty, nasty, disgusting! $20.00 for a product that doesn't compare to Swiss Miss for $3.00
I called Williams Sonoma at Friendly Center in GSO, NC and was told the company issues no refunds on food items. I am embarrassed that I gave this Hot Chocolate as a gift. The only positive is that the tin is cute.
I purchased a Holiday gift to be shipped direct to the recipient on 11/27/2021. I understand supply chain issues etc but at the time of purchase no mention was made that the main part of the gift was backordered. Had they said this I would have bought something else or somewhere else. They then proceed to ship each of the remaining items separately. So my nephews family receives a box with one spatula from me, a week later a box with 2 pot holders, several days later a box with Christmas candies and they still have not received the boxed set of Grinch cookie cutters. What a ridiculous way to send a gift! I did not receive notice that there was an issue with the cookie cutters until mid December when it was too late to get something else to them. I would never again order a gift from Williams-Sonoma.
Answer: Scam, questionable business tactics which are reported to the Better Business Bureau and American Express. Failure of customer service to respond within 72 hours as promised.
Answer: Because they are scamming to show higher sales numbers. Their systems can't even handle an address change ( when my order was delayed 5 months I needed the address changed due to a move).
