Web.com has a rating of 3 stars from 4,020 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Web.com most frequently mention credit card, domain name and tech support. Web.com ranks 2nd among Website Design sites.
It took me 2 days to try to create and start my account initially because of system issues and not allowing payment. I've tried multiple times to get my website secure and have received emails stating it has been fixed, however after 2 weeks my website still reflects as non-secure. Last time I tried to update the website and publish it, the program crashed my entire browser.
The $2.95 one month introductory rate becomes $32.99, about six times more than comparable web hosting sites. They offer no more services or bandwidth/GBs than competitors who charge $5.95 a month. The prices after the introductory offer are not found, either on their site nor on their terms and conditions (the latter of which is non existant), unless you call customer service.
Avoid web.com.
Have had web.com for a number of years due to my lack of time to change. Hard to work with and if your busy as I am and your card is hacked so you receive a new number, they will cancel you before they get their billing correct! Everybody else will send you an email regarding a credit card issue, not this email company! Was out of town, had corrected the issue when regarding another issue two months before, was working online on a sunday. Traveled back on monday and they canceled my account and lost everything. Claim it is un recoverable. We will see. Its getting expensive, DON"T USE THEM
Mike (for domain renewal) and Erin B. (for SEO service) were very helpful, patient and informative, resulting in what I'm sure will be of great benefit in attracting new people to check us out, at very reasonable rates.
You asked me the second that I logged in. This is ridiculous. And now you require at least 50 characters...

Most business's that want your business tend to treat you good to get your money,
However a great business is following up and finding out how you are doing, thanking
You for becoming involved with or without a purchase. One never knows when an interested party may turn around 360 degrees and delve into what you are all about.
Timing plays a pertant role in people's lives. Therefore, Thank you for being Great!
Discrimination, harassment customer right, money winding, this is horrible service
Create fake action at th account to make fake service the charge fees - absurd, all service are scandalous and outstanding treaters, not for comments verbal!
The lady that assisted me was well rounded and knowledgeable about your services. I absolutely enjoyed her positivity and professional demeanor. I would strongly recommend that she is placed on a leadership role, if she is not already. Our organization teaches character development and it does not take very long for me to discern personality traits... She deserves an A+
I really appreciate the customer service, friendliness, knowledge, interest, effort and energy that went into the introductory phase of developing my business website. It is something I've wanted for a long time, but didn't know how to go about doing it, getting started, hiring the right entity, and assumed it would be something I couldn't afford as a small business. Web.com, that I was set up with through Register.com, seems to be that great partner that is stepping in to execute this very important aspect of my business- the website. I'm excited and looking forward to its development!
Chat support has been robotic. I ended up here due to a mistake on my part that in hindsight feels like it might have been shady (I was looking for hostgator's web builder and somehow opened an account here). The web builder is okay but not as flexible or easy to use as I was expecting for the price. The user interface for the account is confusing and opaque. Instead of being supported I feel like at every turn I'm just being sold something. Sometimes when I try to log in it says my username or password is incorrect and there is no link to rectify that, but if I try to log in in a different window with the same credentials it works. (yes I'm sure I'm on web.com in both cases) Generally annoying and unhelpful...but I'm trapped by all the time I spend building my site here that would be lost if I moved because (I think) different hosting services would use incompatible builders that wouldn't let me modify my sites.
Clicked an advertisement for $1.95 a month with no sign of it being introductory only. Proceeded through checkout - still no indication. Couple months later I notice I'm being billed for $14.95 a month. Contacted billing department with no hope for a refund. Stay away from this fraudulent and misleading company.
Dear ka.
Please accept our sincere apologies if you did not see, notice or understand the terms and conditions affiliated with this special promotion in our advertising or during checkout. It is not our intention to mislead anyone with such promotions. Rather, most customers appreciate having introductory price promotions so that they can try out our products and services before having to make more significant or longer-term commitments upfront.
Sincerely,
Executive Support
1- Within hours of signing up with web.com, I began getting marketing calls from 3rd party companies for setting up my website. 2- If you don't cancel by the 3rd day, they won't refund a penny no matter even if you paid for a year in advance. 3- Their website editor is the old weebly editor from 15 years ago. It still has the same bugs!
I am finding web.com very difficult to use. It took me 45 minutes to try to get an agent to answer a simple question. I can't even find my web builder. I am very frustrated and ready to look elsewhere for services. There are so many questions that I have.
HI Desiree,
Our customer support can answer those questions. Give us a call!

The minimum I've researched was $350 to get a site up and running. That was via someone I knew personally. Web.com gave me an option to build a website at an affordable cost. As a start-up, every dollar counts.
Now, with that said, building the site isn't as intuitive as it may seem. Especially when it comes to resizing original pics/ logos. Also, the server kept dropping of line during the initial setup. However for the cost I'm still pleased with the value proposition.
Today, I spent a few hours with the Web.com team. I really enjoyed my experience as I spoke with knowledgeable, fun, intelligent people who really understand what they are presenting and can present the information in a way that works for the customer. I was impressed with their listening skills and their ability to offer suggestions and converse with you about what it is that you are trying to accomplish. I have been a customer for three years now, and I feel as though they have figured out how to bring quality to a service that is very important for business owners.
Samuel B., we're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us! Our team strives to deliver an excellent experience, and are glad you found this to be the case. If you have further needs or questions, please reach out!^LS
While it is premature to submit a final review of my website, I am pleased to say that Kyle, who discussed what would go into the design, was quite helpful and understood my needs for the website. I'm looking forward to the final product.
Wec.com is crap and yet this site gives them almost 5 stars, when you start looking at the reviews you can see how even the most despondent vitriolic criticisms suddenly have 5 stars. Site Jabber needs to look at what is happening on its own review site.
Hi Hugh, we are disappointed to read your review. However, we can't speak on behalf of a client and their choice in stars nor their right to change their rating after assistance or Sitejabber itself. Anytime we receive a negative review there are several steps we take from facilitating support to reviewing the client experience. This all of course only happens if the client is willing to provide some account identifiers and accepting of assistance being provided. If you have a concern that we can address for you we would be happy to do so. When you have a moment send some account identifiers and place the word review in the subject line to listen@web.com. We hope this message finds you well and you have a great day!
I am amazed at just how friendly and courteous Web.com staff are. In this day in time when it seems everyone has a chip on their shoulder these people have such a genuine desire to help you create your best product. They are knowledgeale and just down right friendly. I can't wait to see their creation for my website but I truly appreciate their gentle and knowledgeable direction.
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
