We reserved a beachfront condo at Shores Club in Daytona Beach for July 4 weekend, expecting a premium stay in a prime location. What we walked into was shockingly unacceptable. The unit (9813 S. Atlantic Ave, Unit 807, Daytona Beach), managed by VTrips, was in disarray: All beds were stripped with linens balled up on top
No pillowcases on any pillows
Dirty, wet cleaning rags left in the bathtub
Clean towels stacked on the living room table
No toilet paper
Gritty, sandy floors
Peeling wall plaster and dirt lining the master bedroom sliding doors
For context, we paid $2,119.90, which included $447/night, a $230 cleaning fee, $139 damage protection, a $213 tax, and a $196 service fee. What we didn't pay for was to do our own laundry until 3 a.m. and hunt for bathroom essentials after a long travel day. We reported the conditions immediately and submitted 13 photos, which VTrips acknowledged. Their after-hours representative confirmed there was no cleaning crew available and no alternate units, then told us to find a hotel—on a holiday weekend. That wasn't a solution, it was a shrug. I am the brother-in-law of the person who made the reservation. She is Latina and does not speak fluent English, so I handled the communications, stayed in the unit, and submitted all documentation. VTrips corresponded with me directly for five days—until I formally requested compensation. Then, suddenly, they claimed they could only speak with the "primary guest." Let's be clear: VTrips had no issue taking our money, engaging with me repeatedly, or receiving photos from my phone. Only when it came time to make it right did they retreat behind policy. Eventually, they refunded the cleaning fee. That's it. No credit for the lost night, no reimbursement for essentials, no meaningful apology. VTrips manages dozens—if not hundreds—of units in Daytona and throughout Florida. If this experience is any indicator, they are overextended, underprepared, and unaccountable. Your beachfront vacation shouldn't begin with a trip to the store for toilet paper or end with hours of fruitless follow-up. For travelers: Avoid VTrips. There are better-managed options nearby.

Hidden charges

I wish I had found this site before we booked a trip through the Vtrips site. I read all the charges and fees before I did the final booking which included only taxes and cleaning fee. There was no line charge for a V trip booking fee of 127.06. They apparently book trips for Jackson Mountain Realty who were agreeable to refunding our money within 24 hours of our trip, which was in their cancellation policy. However, when booking, it is not disclosed that Vtrips is a separate company and charge a separate booking fee, whether you cancel or not. This fee and information was NOT there when I booked. We tried to dispute the chg with our credit card company, but V trips sent documentation showing that the booking fee was disclosed, but it was not. So we will not be getting our money back. They are unscrupulous and I'm sure rip off a lot of people this way. Don't book through them!

Avec Vtrips depuis 2015

Je vois beaucoup de commentaires négatif à l'endroit de Vtrips qui je crois non pas lieu d'être. Noter qu'il faut bien lire les règlements avant de faire les réservations. Nous réservons avec Vtrips depuis 2015 dans des condominiums à Cinnamon Beach et nous avons toujours été bien servis. Je crois que la pandémie a été difficile pour tout le monde. Nous sommes de Québec Canada et nous avons également été obligé de reporter nos vacances en 2021 et tout c'est bien passé.

Seriously Maui Rental Group?

During Maui's worst natural disaster your business practices defy logic and common sense. Attempting to profit during an island emergency is reprehensible. As a first time VRBO client, I rented one of your units in Wailea to celebrate my parents upcoming 80th birthday next month (Sept 2023). The day following the devastating fire (Aug 11th) I called VRBO to ask what I should do about my upcoming trip given the comments by Hawaii's Governor, the Tourism Board and even the President of the United States. Specifically, their request to cancel any unnecessary travel to the island. VRBO told me to contact the host, Maui Rental Group, and I spoke to property manager and supervisor Agnes. I was told since I was within 60 days of my paid rental I could not get my money refunded but I could switch to another date within a year. We simply don't want to visit Maui anytime soon out of respect for the many who have died and the local residents trying to cope with the magnitude of this disaster. I understood Agnes was worried about losing the commission by refunding my 2k dollars, but when she told me the authorities had not mandated cancelling upcoming travel, only recommended it, and that we would still have a great celebration I knew she was delusional. Do the right thing Maui Rental Group and refund my full payment—attempting to benefit financially during this time is the wrong way to go. The Dawn Condos

We stayed at the Dawn Condos in Galveston. The condo we stayed in was very beautiful. The only issue we had was the dryer did not work which they did let us know before checking in. And they let us no they would send someone out the next day to fix it which they done. But the guy was unable to fix it because he did not have the proper parts to fix it so we had to go to a laundry mat to dry our clothes. Then on top of that they didn't have coffee in the room, or trash bags, or laundry detergent. We basically had to go and buy all of the amenities for our use while on vacation even though they tell you EVERYTHING is there which is a lie

Horrible Service and they cannot handle multiple rentals especially in Ft Myers FL area. Currently they are holding $11k from me unauthorized after we ended our agreement (due to a lock order that we processed/ details not explained and no contract signed...illegally holding funds). No one is responding to me and I need these funds to help run our business. I highly suggest staying away from this company!

Reservation nightmare

I travel extensively for business, I know how to make a reservation and how to manage. I booked a trip to Maui and arranged for a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with sofa beds or murphy beds for myself, my husband my daughter and husband and kids. I verified the reservation many many times, because it stated 2 beds 2 baths, but then in another area it said 1 bedroom. I even verified with the service. On the date of ou flight we were delayed so I called to verify our information with the manager. He said he did not have our reservation. He finally found it and said it was a 1 bed 1 bath, i told him that was incorrect and he said they had nothing to offer me, we would have to pay for the stay. I called the service and they said it appeared the reservation had been changed and that they could clearly see it was 2 bedrooms 2 baths and multiple beds. They told us we could not cancel at this late date and had to pay for the entire stay. We could not all stay in a place that was only 1 bedroom. We never went to the condo or stayed there, they later said they could give us 2 bedrooms but no extra beds and it would not be for the entire stay...again this is not what we reserved and it would not work. No refund, no offer to reduce cost, nothing, we ended up cancelling and finding someplace else to stay. I truly believe they are bait and switch and i want my money back. We did not stay nor could we cancel...

Run as far from this place!

Arrived at 12 am and gate code don't work, would work if office got the paperwork and our code would be put in the system and gate would open. So by 3 am slept in the rental car us 2.7 am next morning woke up in our car, went to the gate and another renter let us in. Day 2 AC breaks down,day 3 AC again breaks down, then after 2 days of filthy place I woke up to cockroaches in the bed, on the end tables too, dead one that was behind chair been dead a long time, floors were so filthy that my socks were black in a hr. I will never ever rent from this place again EVER! I may have been refunded due to this but 2 days of vacation ruined due to hanging around for AC guy and throwing out food from roaches! Found a better place 6 miles down the road much cleaner! What a horrible nightmare sleeping in truck first night and roaches, filthy. Pics show the filth. Shame on Vtrips and owner Steve Milo. I'm not wealthy just a hard working person trying to enjoy my vacation.

I reserved a condo through them in July for a four night stay in Sawgrass, FL for the March 2023 PGA tournament. They contacted me yesterday and advised me that the owner is now requiring a 7 night minimum. We cannot make that change, so they just abruptly canceled our reservation. The closest accommodations now are several miles away in Jacksonville. They do not even deserve one star!

Vtrip made my vacation stay horrible. They made errors and changes to my reservation that left me, my husband & 3 small children in the street no place to stay. I requested a half or full refund and all they refused. I need Mr. Steve Milo the CEO of VTrips review my reservation and to correct the mistake his company made. This is what happens to us from the 1st day arriving to Florida problems after problems moving around from Hotel to Hotel due to them. This company made terrible error for us even in the last night you left us in the street looking for a hotel on our last night before we go home to Germany. This has been a horror to my family will have a horrible memories. We need half or full money back from our trip. This company said to me they are sorry but can't refund me. We deserve a refund. Can someone help us please this is not fair to take advantage from tourists that visit the United States no one want to be rob.

Wouldn't rent from Vtrips again!

We booked a stay at 211 Pallermo Circle in Ft Myers Florida. First of all, the house was nothing like it was advertised. It advertised a hot tub on the 2nd floor balcony, part of the reason we rented this particular house. When we got there, it was no where to be found. When I contacted Vtrips about it, they fought and said that house wasn't supposed to have one when it was clearly advertised in the pictures. I asked if there was someway we could work out moving to another house with everything advertised and they said that couldn't happen unless I wanted to break a contract and get a $100 refund. $100 bucks on a $2300 rental for the week, after I already drove 15+ hours. In my eyes, it was a breach of contract for not being as advertised. The house stunk bad, we ended up buying candles and air fresheners to alleviate the smell so we could even stay the night. It was bad. The ONLY thing this house has going for it is the location. It's within walking distance from everything but I would definitely NEVER recommend renting this house to anyone. I'll look elsewhere for my vacation needs from now on. Vtrips needs to do better for sure.

We stayed at mountain treasure and the porch was unsafe and the house was filthy dirty. I even had to Re-wash the dishes. I was charged way to much for this place.

I booked through VRBO and had 100% refundable if canceled before September 8. Received an email from Vtrip Wanting me to sign saying if I cancel after 48 hours I would lose my deposit and first half payment. That's not gonna happen cancel and look elsewhere. Getting conflict information from VRBO and Vtrip. They have proven to be untrustworthy.

I will never do business with this company again. I reserved a condo in Maui for a family vacation. We needed two condos in the same complex. VTrips canceled my reservation out of the blue, forcing me to scramble to get another property. They offered me a smaller property a 30-minute drive away from the one I booked with them. I guess they can claim that they tried to compensate me. I had to pay more money to get a property in the same complex as my family. As bad as the reviews are, I'm surprised that VRBO still allows them to use their site. Trust me, I will be complaining to them as well.

We rented s property thru VRBO and this Vtrips took over management from the original company (Sandy Beach) We arrived to the most disgusting unit in Clearwater-The SunHarbor Getaway. Dried vomit or something that looked like it on one bed, hair and dirt on another pillow, a round yellowish stain on one of the sheets, the washer looked NOTHING like the photo, it was filthy as was the garage, their was an item of someones clothing under one of the pillows on the black leather couch... the floor and stairs were dirty. Black mold on one bathroom ceiling. We had to check into a hotel for 8 nights because we had no other option. This place was terrible (and during a pandemic no less) I tried calling the after hours number and got a constant busy signal. No one picked up the regular number, just left voicemails and I emailed. The old management company responded faster than these people! Sandy Beach made sure I got a full refund. Find their properties and rent from them these people are terrible, their property looks NOTHING like the pic in real life. RUN. I wish I had dug deeper when the mgmt change occurred.

Customer service no show

Stayed at the Summit PCB Florida.
Booked unit 1511 3 br sleeps 12. Supposed to have 3 parking passes. They changed policy and vtrips never notified me. Had to find public parking after long exhausting trip. And every time we went somewhere had to ferry people back and forth to this 3rd vehicle. Summit only gave us 8 wrist bands that are supposed to be worn all the time. We had 11 in our party. We were never harassed about this but didn't know what would happen if we were.
Unit was fairly clean but locks didn't work on 2 bathroom doors, balcony furniture was rusted out and on 2nd night we cooked pizza for kids snack and didn't notice oil in bottom of oven until it smoked up the condo. Had to open both doors and vent on to get out burnt smell & smoke. Had to clean oven to use. It was a bunch of oil in bottom of oven so obviously wasn't checked by cleaners. I called about parking and wristbands on Sunday and was told a manager would get in touch with me on Monday. No one ever did. I'm not spending my vacation chasing these people who should be making sure I was taken care of. We decided to make the best of it and enjoyed our vacation but will never use this company or book this unit again.

We have rented numerous times from Vtrips, don't go through one that handles ptoperty at Cinnamon beach in Palm Coast. They are awful! (Jessica) Amenities are always shut down, no pool chairs, glasses being used by adults. Chairs were defective but nothing was brought in to make the pool area enjoyable. Three trips and only 1st trip were facilities all up and running. I even called and emailed prior to coming and told everything available. BS………

Book elsewhere

This company can't help you. They're here for your money and nothing else. You have a problem? Their branch in Hilton Head can't do anything, they can't even book a room because 'our headquarters is in Florida'. So what CAN you do? Lol Book from individuals in AirBnB, not corporations.
