On February 4,2021, my daughter sold her brand new Mazda Miata to Vroom. She still has not been paid for it. We have called every day for three weeks. Their customer service is inept and deceitful. They say their accounting department is backed up. You can't reach their executive offices because the phone number listed in their SEC filings is their dreaded customer service line. No one responds to letters or emails. Our experience with them is that they are unable to pay their debt to us as it became due.
I can't even tell you how horrendous this company it. I traded a car in on another car back in December of 2021. The trade part actually went well. They paid me more than any other company would, and they had the car picked up within a week. Great. I also got lucky and received my new car within two weeks--it actually was delivered the day that we moved out of our house in Gilbert, AZ. We moved to California in January. The temp tag that was provided expired in February, and as of July 13,2022 we don't have the title or tags for the car. We have been driving the car just hoping that we don't get pulled over. I call almost everyday and get the runaround no matter who I speak to. I'm beginning to worry that we will never get the title work.
Experience was not good at all. Never received a call once I submitted my application online had to finally call them. The sales person I talked to was very rude, unprofessional and had no customer service personality. I stayed on hold so long for over 45 mins. Without the person ever coming back saying anything. I finally hung up. I decided to try Carvana instead, I advise anyone don't be so desperate that you accept this lack of professionalism. They trying to compete with Carvana and others but don't have the structure, mannerism, or professionalisms to handle its customers. If they start from the beginning of the process with this behavior what you think you will deal with once you enter into a contract. I say Run Run... Horrible service!
I purchased a 2018 Lexus RX 350 L (22K mi.) after researching hundreds of similar cars on similar sites. Upon receiving vehicle and driving it for a hundred miles, I took it to Lexus to have it inspected. They found rust in the under carriage and all four brake pads were rusted. They said it was likely underwater. So much for the 150 point inspection. I initiated the "no-hassle" return policy on day 6. Now I am on Day 21 and nobody from Vroom will call me back. I have called, submitted cases, and spoken with agents who cannot do anything. I submitted a BBB claim. Every time I call I have to wait at least 20 min. The return is still unscheduled and I have not received a refund or my trade-in title back.
Hey everyone my name is Wil I to bought a vehicle from vroom and am experiencing problems I have contacted an attorney lets join forces and take them to court if interested please email me
*******@gmail.com
I purchased a vehicle from Vroom and sold my vehicle to Vroom at the same time and they owed me money for my trade in. The new (used) car arrived with a dent that was not described in the listing. The big issue is I am still waiting for my payment after 2 weeks. They promised 3 days. I have called over 12 times and waiting on hold countless hours an not one person knows what is going on. The worst car buying experience one could ever imagine. Meanwhile they are holding my $12k with no plans on sending me a check. The customer service personnel are all useless and no one can give any information when you ask for it. Just horrible. I would avoid at all costs
Broom gave me a very high trade in estimate for my truck, much higher than all the local dealers. I filled out all the necessary forms and picked out the vehicle I would be trading for. I received an email stating a rep would be calling me within the hour, 2 days later and no calls or emails. I will take that as a sign!
If I could give -0 starts, that would be my rating. I have never had such a terrible experience buying a vehicle. I put down the $ 500 to reserve the car, I signed the contracts and never heard back from them. Every time I called to find out the status of my car purchase, I received different information and false promises. I asked to speak to a manager or director multiple times and they never transferred or returned my call. Vroom makes online shopping seem efforless when in fact the opposite is true. Really disappointed with their staff and their operations, and annoyed with myself for not delving into their reviews before deciding to do business with them. Hope this review helps those planning to buy a vehicle from Vroom to avoid the struggle I went through.
This is the WORST car buying experience I have ever had. Your tag, titles and registration customer service department is absolutely awful and needs to be completely restaffed! Not one time during the during the 78 days it took to get my permanent registration and tag transfer was anyone helpful or even polite. Nothing but rude and uninformed unprofessional phone answering seat warmers. Never again and I will most certainly share my experience with everyone. My car delivery was delayed, then the car delivered with no temp tags and then the whole mess of not being allowed to speak to a supervisor when one is clearly needed to get answers... what a crock! Vroom is crap!
Vroom customer service does not exist. It is literally impossible to reach human beings by phone or email. It took me 8 hours yesterday to get an answer to a simple question about paperwork. When I finally succeed in talking so someone... and, that person never has authority to answer questions... they reminded me first that a "deal deadline" was approaching. I suggested that they extend the deadline by the time it took me to get an answer from them. The said that couldn't be done.
This is a poorly organized organization... understaffed or over tech dependant or both. I hear that other services like CarMax do much better.
Extermely horrible experience.
First car, it was subaru outback. It has mechanical issue. The power steering was broken, i do know if they inspect the car. Or just fool us.
Then i exchange to alfa romeo. 14 days after signed and paid in full. They still not ship the car yet, and every time i called them. Different stuff give me different answer.
STAY AWAY FROM VROOM
If I could give them -15 stars I would. Six months later and I'm still dealing with them. From delays on delivery and pick up of the trade in car to vroom still not giving my bank the money for the trade in car. So now the bank thinks I owe 4 months of payments because of vroom. Have to get a lawyer involved. They suck. They're scam artists. Please don't use them.
Do not engage with Vroom.com to purchase a car. After following every "step" from a $250 holding deposit to proof of delivery location, proof of insurance, etc., Vroom sent an email canceling the transaction. They were impossible to reach by phone or email. On the rare occasion of reaching a live human, they claimed ignorance to the situation and told us the supervisor would call. SCAM ALERT! Do not use them for any reason unless you want to enter a frustrating nightmare.
This is not a comprehensive review... I am venting and as of right now, I've still not paid anyone for the car that was delivered late.
1. The car was order and delivered, two weeks late on delivery.
2. I've been driving this car for over 2 months now with no contact back from their finance department.
3. I've called all of their departments (no exaggeration) for over 20 times and I either get hung up on during transfer or escalation to their level two agents.
4. My contract shows Ally Financial as the lienholder; however, I called Ally and they have no record of my information.
5. My temporary registration ends in a few weeks so I have to figure out how my bank will pay Vroom... noone is able to be contacted.
If I could leave 0 star review, I would. Vroom is literally the worst company I have ever worked with, particularly with regards to purchasing a car. They don't perform any sort of inspection or even quality check of the vehicles that they sell, despite what their website says. I was delivered a car that had a broken trunk (would not open), oil leak, needed a new battery (wrong one was installed), all 4 tires were below the legal limit of what is allowed to be sold in Washington State, and more. Upon inspection of my vehicle at the mechanics shop, it was even determined that there was some interior mildew and rodent festation of the vehicle, and when it was dropped off to me it was full of dog hair. In trying to work with them to get the repairs arranged for any of the mechanical issues, they have been difficult and cheap, not seeming to care that they literally sold me a car that has tires below the legal tread limit that are allowed to be sold. Will never work with Vroom again and highly advise anyone considering working with Vroom to move on and choose literally ANY other dealer, online or otherwise.
I did a trade on my old car to get my new car. The Vroom driver did the exchange somewhere else. He refused to give me my old tags back. He then said the contact center will have them shipped back to me in 2 to 3 days. A month later I still haven't got them back and they have been driving the car in Texas. How do I know they have. Because I received a Toll Ticket from Texas. I live in Ohio. I have called so many times to get my old tag back because I am transferring it to my new car. But they say it will take up to 10 weeks. So now my temporary tag is getting ready to expire, and they can't seem to get me a temporary tag either. The salesman Robert couldn't do his job, the customer services can't seem to take notes or pass along case notes to another department. Then there's no supervisors that can take your calls. So please learn from my mistakes don't trust or buy from Vroom.
I purchased my Jeep Wrangler on line and all went smooth until it came to the paper work to Title the vehicle. Multiple phone calls to people who sounded like they were in India. Long waits on hold to talk to people who did not know what they were talking about. In Missouri we have 30 days to pay tax and title a vehicle we purchase. Vroom sent me more temporary Tags. I received notice from the State of Missouri that I did not title the vehicle on time and was to pay a Title penalties. Now it had been greater than 70 days. I called one last time and told the Vroom representative that my lawyer would contact them next and file a Tort against their Surety Bond in the state of Missouri, so they could not do business in the state. Surprise I had my paperwork three days later.
UPDATE: January 6,2022 These fools sent me another TEMP TAG for 30 days. I have already registered and paid my taxes on the Vehicle. This business is pathetic. RUN!
Everything went exactly as Vroom told me. I accepted their offer for my car I wanted to sell. I followed all of their instructions, I mailed them the title and the keys and within a week their was a flatbed trailer out in front of my house to pick it up! Then 24 hours later I received a check in the mail. I would recommend Vroom if you want a quick sale of your car.
My 20,000 dollar SUV was delivered with bald tires, metal to metal brakes, black and warped rotators, etc. I paid for a full safety inspection and forwarded the results to vroom. No response, follow up or repairs. Now I'm posting online to get their attention. They respond to my posts to look good publicly and still no follow up on my claim 6 days later. Deceptive and fraudulent business…stay away!
Spent all day on the phone setting things up, made a deposit, they approved financing. Everything was ready to go, and then they sent an email cancelling the deal stating they couldn't "prove" we were us even after sending a copy of our drivers licenses and offering to send them other documentation. Offered to get our own financing up front. We understand that they need to verify our identity, but to just cancel the deal without giving us an opportunity to do so is crappy business.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
Vroom's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to prolonged service delays and inadequate communication once transactions are completed. Customers frequently report issues with document processing, payment delays, and difficulties in obtaining vehicle registration and titles. While some positive experiences highlight effective sales interactions, these are overshadowed by widespread complaints regarding unresponsive customer service and perceived dishonesty. The overall sentiment suggests that while Vroom may attract customers with competitive pricing, the post-sale support and operational efficiency require substantial improvement to enhance customer trust and satisfaction.
