Vroom's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to prolonged service delays and inadequate communication once transactions are completed. Customers frequently report issues with document processing, payment delays, and difficulties in obtaining vehicle registration and titles. While some positive experiences highlight effective sales interactions, these are overshadowed by widespread complaints regarding unresponsive customer service and perceived dishonesty. The overall sentiment suggests that while Vroom may attract customers with competitive pricing, the post-sale support and operational efficiency require substantial improvement to enhance customer trust and satisfaction.

Joseph Collier was excellent in providing me quality service and quality time. He even assisted me beyond his normal work hours to answer any concerns and questions to my complete satisfaction. I highly recommend Vroom should the rest of their services match Joe's expertise and care. He is professional yet friendly, so it was a pleasure to do business with him.
Run from this place especially if your selling a car to them! Not the first time I've sent an inquiry to this company! They are almost 20k less than everyone else on their offer To me. Again not the first time I have tried to use this company. Their offer 8900. 00. Other local dealers and other internet car dealers buying/selling sites all at least 18-20kk. What gives?!
I bought 2019 Lincoln MkC this month October 2020.
When they delivered the car, it was not hardly drivable.
Front end warblers, could not drive it past 30 miles an hours, they told me to take it to the Lincoln dealer, I live in Pepin, Wisconsin in the boon docks, had to drive it to Rochester, Minnesota, two hour drive going 30 miles an hour at my Cost!
Had to do it three times before dealer got it right!
Spend three days driving there and back, plus drove over 300 miles all at my expense, they outwardly refused to give me compensation.
I will never buy from this company so be beware of there way of doing business.
Went on to see price of 03 chevy trailblazer. There buy price was 50.00 for it. Last 7 months put 8500 in to it what a crock of crap
Vroom offered me $1300. 00 for my Jeep commander 5.7 hemi in which I said I installed a new engine as well as a new transmission it is currently on Facebook marketplace for 9500 offering me $1300 was a joke on top of which they said they would pick up my car and pay me three days later by check are they kidding me don't use this company. I would give the company zero stars but that's not an option.
I love my new used car. I started the purchase of a 2018 Mazda3 on 9/29 and my car was delivered 10/11.12 days for the entire process: paperwork, payment, delivery. The car is exactly as pictured. I included a picture they sent to my email & the actual car. I am so happy with the convenience of not having to go to a dealership.
Thank you Vroom!
To be honest, if there was a zero star review, this company would be it. After reading all the negative reviews about this customer services, I chose not to believe it and go with my own intuition and was totally wrong. If you appreciate deceit and misleading information, this is definitely the company to do business with. Customer service is a joke. They will only call you back and follow up until the money has been transferred into their account. Once that is complete, it all goes downhill. No one will reply back to your emails, you will be put on hold for extended periods and get transferred for runarounds. They will literally leave you in the dark for any status updates. At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if the vehicle that I purchased is even as described. I hope and pray to GOD it is because I do not want to deal with this company ever again.
It took me about 3 weeks from the time I found the vehicle until the time it was delivered. It was delivered early, and I had the title less than 2 weeks after the vehicle was delivered.
They gave me a very good amount for my trade-in, which they promptly picked up on schedule.
Every representative that I talked to was friendly and relatively knowledgeable. There was a little miscommunication with the delivery because it was early but I'm still giving it five stars because it was extremely enjoyable and easy and took me about 10 hours including financing and I did it from the comfort of my home.
Poor communication. I accepted their offer to buy my car. Constantly changed requirements. I canceled when they requested I send signed title and a set of keys before arranging pick up. They said to avoid my taking their money and not giving the car. I reminded the published process in their offer was to pick up the car and not pay me for another 14 days. Something isn't right with this company. Every time I supplied info they changed what was needed and I always had to call them. Lots of BBB complaints. Good chance if they offer to buy your car you will still be playing email tag a month later. Luckily I was not in hurry to sell my car. I took mine off two other online sale sites because they made an offer to me based upon my car being listed for sale on one of those sites. Perhaps trolling for suckers. AVOID
The price quoted for selling my vehicle was 10k under value. What a joke! IA 2015 Ford Escape with 32k miles on it was quoted a price of $3663.
I accepted the offer and problems began, they send me a FEDEX document with no instruction how to fill out, I called and there agent said they don't know and have no instruction and you need to talk to the document department... looks like that department doesn't exist because I called for 2 days and no one is picking. I'm told be the customer service agent that they will transfer and should be any wait but called 5 times, on hold for between 45min to an hour before I hang up. I wouldn't buy or sell any cars to them... STAY AWAY... I just cancel the transactions. It was going no where!
I would put zero stars if I could. Absolutely horrible communication. After you a buy a car from them, they want nothing to do with you. A person working for Vroom convinced me to use their financial services to take out a loan because that was the only way they would go through the process of completing my car registration with the DMV (if you buy through a local dealer, they do everything for you whether or not your take out a loan). I didn't need a loan, but since we are experiencing COVID, I went forward and used their financial services so I wouldnt have to deal with getting car registration. I paid everything off in full. Three months later, I still have not received an update on my car registration, even though I sent in all the required forms. I emailed and call them for update, I am left with sittin on the phone for over a hour and no one can give me a real update. They asked to provide them all of the needed car registration forms again... which I cannot do as I had to mail in my VIN inspection test, so I forward them the fedex label - no response.
DO NOT buy your car here. Go to a local dealer, the headache of working with them is not worth it! This is causing me SO much more work than any car I've ever bought, Horribly unorganized. Horrible company.
We bought a car that was completely damaged when it arrived we went to get a quote to get it fixed and they tell us they are not fixing it because it's too much completely in ethical. How are you going to tell a customer that just spent a lot of money on a car that your not going to fix it after you damaged it. So we returned it but currently still use the damaged car and they tell us after we had purchased another car that they were not transferring loans untill they pick up the other car which was not for me and my son and now he is without a car. This company cares about nobody but themselves completely selfish. Will absolutely never buy from this company again. Already reported to better business bureau and lawyers will be next.
Purchased my car on July 13th 2020 It took two weeks for my car to arrive and another week to pickup the trade in. My temp tags expire today September 14th 2020. I emailed and called Vroom several times over the past couple of weeks to get either my hard tags or new temp tags without success. I also don't have any financing. There bank JP Morgan Chase hasn't received anything from Vroom about my financing terms. I have no other choice but to take legal action against Vroom.
Worst experience I have ever had with any business. Stay far, FAR away! They picked up my trade-in with no prior notification, just showed up at my house, leaving me no car. Then missed the date/time delivery appointments that they set FIVE times. It's been four weeks and they have yet to issue a check to pay off my trade-in. I've called multiple times and have spent hours upon hours on hold. No one can give an answer and just passes you on. I just spent over 2 hours and 40 minutes on hold, and briefly talked to three separate representatives, who could do nothing but escalate a ticket. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told customer service was going to be closing soon, so I would have to be called back tomorrow. I still have no answers and have made multiple calls over the last 12 days about this exact situation.
I've had the worst experience with Vroom. From the very start of being told I put a hold on a car then being told it was a "glitch" and someone else actually got the car, to the four hour late delivery of my second choice car, to the car being dropped off with more scratches than disclosed, to the seats being stained, to the car smelling so strongly of cigarettes (and that was not disclosed), to spending hours upon hours on hold trying to speak with ANYONE who could help remedy all of the issues, to dealing with a manager who did not try to help and made me find places that met THEIR criteria to get the car fixed, to spending more hours on hold, countless emails that have gone without reply. And now the 7 day period for me to return the car and they've pushed the issues passed it and not one single call to apologize, ask if there is anything they can do to help, or to speak with me about my experience. Awful customer service all around. With the manager I was assigned being the worst. I will never recommend anyone to use vroom. It was more of an inconvenience and pain than it would have been to just pay for a dealerships fees.
Was trying to buy a car, I reserved it and the next day someone called and asked if I was still interested in a car, said yes I reserved one, was on my way to purchasing it I thought. Told me nope, someone else was purchasing it. Weird but okay. It's been over a month and they're still trying to sell me the car that someone else supposedly was purchasing but worse, they are continuing to run my credit for a car they dont have so I'll have to report them to the FTC, etc. I bought from Carvana instead. Got the car within a week. Second car from them so far so good. Smooth transition. I wouldn't recommend Vroom and wish I had seen the reviews, I'd have not even tried.
Customer service was subpar too. I dont know it was all just bad, they all are doing their own thing.
From the moment I paid my $38k, the service & operational quality of the company is the worst that I have ever experienced - and I continue to experience. I could go on & on, but I had to get a month extension on my temporary license (I received it past expiration and that was only after begging & pleading - they would have never dealt with it). I have yet to get the title to my car, even though I paid for the car in June (now mid September). Their promised follow-up by anyone, customer service reps or their supervisors is non-existent. Even a service rep admitted that they are terrible. Unbelievable.
I have never been so ignored, lied to, and mislead EVER by any company, and I've dealt with some shady companies. From the very beginning I was mislead about the price by over a thousand dollars, then I was ignored for weeks, then my promised 14 day delivery window was extended twice, and now I'm stuck paying hundreds in extra rental fees because this scam of a company refuses to honor even a single promise they've made. It's impossible to get anyone to call or email you back, and I haven't received a response in at least two weeks. What started out as a decent deal has become a nightmare made even worse by the apparent lack of concern on the company's part. Vroom stops just shy of malicious and I can't recommend more that you use literally any other company on the planet.
To start the delivery driver dropped off my car in the middle of the night. I was never given the ability to inspect the care. Secondly he drove it on to my backyard lawn! Throughout the purchase process I had to contact them for everything and spoke with one helpful person (after waiting for hours on hold each time). That said, my primary problem is that after I inspected the car. There were scratches on it never listed on the original posting. Plus the interior was filthy. I didn't complain about the interior but told them about the scratches and the marks. They are now they are arguing that the defects were listed on the original posting, which they were not. The original posting listed one defect; however there were several others. Now that the original posting was removed I have no way to prove that they are committing false advertising. I have searched other reviews and have seen others complain about this issue. Lastly I finally washed the car on Sunday and found even more defects that seemed to have been covered up. It is all very shady.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
